The Poagans and The Dragon Cult
There once was a town of earth ponies, that had magical abilities much like that of unicorns. These ponies were called the Poagans, but unlike unicorns that use they’re horns to cast magic spells. These earth ponies used amulets to conjure their spells and powers. The amulets they wear use the ponies aura energy, (aura energy is something all living things produce naturally) to pull in energy from the world around them to conjure spirits and cast spells. Now these spells were of even higher magical levels, then that of unicorns.
The unicorns thought that striping the land and plants of their energy for ones own use was wrong. Though this wasn't fact, since the Poagans never revealed how their magic worked for fear that their enemies could use that knowledge to stop their powers, and leave them defenseless. Since the unicorns thought that they were striping that power from the world, to stop what they thought was evil deeds an army was raised, and sent to stop them. They burned the Poagan's homes, and did many more terrible things. There were now only a few Poagans lefts, after the unicorn’s siege on them.
With their population now reduced so much the Poagans relied on their one and only last hope. But this wasn't so for all of the Poagans, half refused to do what was truly their last hope. The Grand Summon this in which was a great summon of the highest caliber, to combine their power to summon one great and mighty spirit to take on flesh and destroy the unicorns, like they destroyed them. But to do this was sacrilege to their beliefs but the elders were outnumbered,
and the few that opposed the idea left for fear of the consequences that would arise from this act. Even their head leader’s daughter left her name was Heart Hope, she was of the highest ranking ponies in the group that was left.
She disappeared without a trace, that's what the other Poagans thought. So the last few that were left, together conjured up a powerful and mighty spirit, and transfused it into the dead flesh of a dragon. This spirit was henceforth known as Alzarrath Zeobane, this spirit that the Poagans thought was good turned out to be that of a demonic race of spirit. He then cursed all the Poagans that summoned him, and infused a demonic spirit within each and everyone. Those unknowing ponies, these now possessed ponies formed a cult that worshiped Alzarrath Zeobane.
This Dragon Cult soon thereafter vanished, and wasn't heard from nore was seen again. The Poagans that left were sparred this fate, and live happy lives pretending to be normal ponies. Hiding their amulets for fear of being found again, they moved on and forgot about everything and everyone from their pasts. (This story ends here, but it surely isn't "The End" of this)
