Ever since Twilight had retrieved her element of harmony from Sunset Shimmer, there hasn't been any real problems. For most of the main six it has been a relief, for they didn't have to face anything that could mean the end of Equestria. Rainbow Dash however has been getting bored and constantly searching for some sort of danger in order to get her blood pumping.
