A Lost Note

A dark purple pony ran down the street panting as she went. Several guards were chasing her. The pegasus's long wavy black mane streamed behind her as she ran.

Have to get away, she thought, there must be somewhere to hide. She ran between stands of flowers and fruit until she found a booth without anypony attending it. The clutsy guards had fell over some barrels of apples. The pony ducked under the stand. She just hoped that her neon green highlight in her mane wouldn't give her away. She saw the big hooves of the guards stomp past.

Fewf, their gone. she had to get out of there. All of the towns ponies knew that there was a 1000 bit reward for her capture. She was a fugitive. Even at her young age of a filly she was already running form the law. She crawled out the back of the booth and started for the forest. She passed a tree with a poster nailed on it.

It read:

Wanted

Razor L Note

Violation: Attempting the Musical Arts and rebelling against Royalty.

Reward!

"Stupid sign." she said ripping it off the tree, "The less of these there are the better." Razornote looked up at the sky. Dark clouds cluttered the sky and moved out any bit of blue that might have once existed. It looked like it was going to rain. She slunk into the forest.

Better find a place to rest. she thought. She looked through the dark forest. There wasn't much shelter anywhere. Come on Note, find something! finally she found a cave deep into the forest. She trotted in. It was cold and damp. There were stalagmites coming up from the floor and stalagmites hanging from the ceiling. Note found an inlet in the wall that was just big enough to crawl into. She knew the King and Queen wouldn't send their guards and patrols this far into the forest. They were afraid of it and they knew that even the most bravest of ponies would shy away from its borders. She fell into a light sleep and hoped that nopony would discover her hiding place.

Razor Note woke up as a faint noise echoed through the cave. It was nothing like she had ever herd before, or had she? It might be, no it couldn't be. She was only a filly when she tried to sing, but, this sound was so familiar. She was compelled to go deeper into the cave. She grabbed a branch from a broken tree and placed it next to two sharp rocks. She picked up one rock with her mouth and hit it against the other.

A spark then flew through the air and fell on the branch. It slowly caught on fire and lit up the cave. Note grabbed it and walked deeper into the cave. The walls were wet and dripping. Wind whistled through the cave as if it was more of a tunnel then a cave. Suddenly the music stopped so she decided to rest and wait until morning to continue. She found a patch of moss and settled down in it. She blew out the torch and fell asleep.

A splash of cave water on her nose woke Razor Note from her slumber. She shook it off and stretched. The floor was cold and wet. Note touched it and shivered as she rubbed her hoof. Just then a sound caught her attention. Hoof steps, no! They are coming after me! She could here the unicorn guard's voices in the dark.

"You really think we should be in here?" one said with an edge of cautiousness in his voice, "It's so dark. We don't know what could be in here."

"Oh, come on! We know she is in here. We saw her hoof prints in the dirt."

Why didn't I cover my tracks? Note thought while face hoofing herself.

She knew she had to get out of there. She could just see the glow of the guards' flashlight spell. She quickly grabbed a stone in her mouth and started hitting it against the other.

It's not working!

"Hey, did you hear that?" one of the guards said, "It came from over here!"

They were coming! What could she do? She bolted out from behind the rock she was crouching under. The guards spotted her.

"Come and get me." Note coaxed.

One of them took a chance and fired at her with his magic. She easily dogged the magic. Then out of nowhere they both started firing at her with all they had. She was running away and trying to dodge the magic lasers that came at her at full speed. She stumbled and fell on the cave floor. She prepared to be captured. A laser hit one of her hooves. The guards hit the other ones also. She was trapped. She couldn't move and knew it was the end of her freedom.

As a tear fell from her eye, her hooves started to glow. She floated up and opened her eyes. They started glowing bright aqua blue. The guards started to yell but no sound came out. You could see the sound waves being pulled from the air and into Razor Note's hooves. A ring of sound formed around her as she stared at the guards. She then hit the ground an a mix of sound and tunes blasted through the cave. The guards were blown out the entrance and the force of the blast even sent Note flying farther into the cave. She hit the ground and was knocked out by the impact.

"Groan," Note woke up drowsily. She moved her hoof slowly up to her head to feel the bump right above her right ear. She sat up and rubbed her head. She realized that she was outside the cave. It seamed to be more of a tunnel then a cave. She heard something. She cocked her head. She looked out of the patch of bushes she fell in. She saw a meadow with flowers and a town in the distance. Sitting in the meadow was a White unicorn with a blue streaked mane. Note crept out of the bushes and over to the unicorn. The white mare turned and looked at the filly through red glasses.

"Hey kid!" She said taking her headphones off her head, "I'v never seen you around, my name's DJ Pon-3 or Vinyl Scratch, take your pick."

Note just sat there poking her hoof in the dirt.

"Whats yours?" Vinyl asked.

"Uh, haven't you seen the wanted posters for my capture?" she asked confused that the unicorn hadn't captured her already.

"What wanted posters? I'm confused, where are you from?"

"I'm from the kingdom of Connacht, isn't that were we are right now?" Note asked confused.

"No, your in Equestria! Ponyville to be exact." Vinyl said thinking that this pony was making a joke or was really weird.

Note knew what must have happened. The cave must have been a tunnel. It lead from kingdom to kingdom and made sure you didn't get lost in the forest. Razor Note decided to explain her story to Vinyl. She seemed nice enough and frankly, she hasn't really had anypony to talk to for a really long time so she kind of let it all out.

"Wow, I'm sorry about your parents, and your life apparently. I wish there was something I could do to help." she pondered a bit, "I know! You can come and live with me!"

"You sure? I don't want to be a bother."

"It's no problem at all! I would like the company, and so would my niece who is living with me." Vinyl said with enthusiasm. With that Vinyl and Note walked to her house and started an adventure neither of them expected.
