A Dinner To Decide Fate

  "Did you like it?" I asked. "Well duh, my PFF made it!" Gem stone says as we walk along the dirt path. "Jeez I wouldn't be surprised if you made another game like it! Hey, are you going to sell it? I can be your manager!" A frown appears on my face. "Gem," I start "you know I don't want to sell it, I'm going top let eveypony play it for free." Gem Stone giggles. "Yes yes I know!" We speed up as we near my house. "I'll Cya tomorrow, Time- I mean Mine Hoof! " she gallops away eger to play with her sisters.

  I walk inside, and place my saddle bags on the table. I open the glossy black fridge to search for a snack. Grabbing an apple, I close the door and go to my bedroom, but not before picking back up my saddle bag. Finishing my snack, it appears I have nothing to do. " Blah, after I finished my project, I've been so bord!"

  I go over to my computer and open up my games launcher. "I still can't believe I made this, why didn't I get a game making cutie mark? It makes no science that I get my game's symbol for a special talent. Maybe all the stuff I'm good at has to do with Minecraft?" I wonder. 'Pony feathers!' I think in my head. "I could make more to Minecraft! Like updates! The game could be never-ending!" I close my computer and start drawing what I want to be in update 1.2.

  The door opens and I hear, "I'm home Muffin!" Confused, I trot out into the kitchen and check the clock. "Hi, Mom! Why are you home an hour early?" Mom places her saddle bags of the table and pulls out a letter. "I got this and my boss said I can go home to tell you and get started" Mom says with joy in her voice. Get started? I look at the envelope. "Cantorlot? Why did we get a letter from Cantorlot?" I ask. Mom just hands me the envelope and goes to the phone. "Just read it and I'm going to call Dinky And Sparkler." I look at the envelope and open it. In small, beutiful hand writing, it reads,

Dear Mrs. Hooves ,

I've heard so many wonderful things about you, Derpy, and I would like yo have you as my royal messenger. I also would lime to get to know you better, so I, Princess Celestia, invite you and your family, to have dinner with me, my sister, Cadence, and Twilight. I know all of them aren't neccacary for getting to know you, but I feel you might take messages for them some day.

  I reread and reread the letter over and over, trying to procces what this means. Mom smiles a smile I haven't seen since dad left. Don't get me wrong, they're not separated. Everbsense dad got that call, he's been gone. He has a special job the I don't want to mention but I'll tell you this, after I figured out what is

job was, he's been working. He always use to have time for us but now he doesn't.

  I smile. "So  we are going to Cantorlot for dinner with the princesses?" I ask. "Yes, but I figured we'd stay for a week just to get to know the Cantorlot citizens." I frown. "What?!" mom looks at me like I'm an Idiot "Well if I get the job we're going to have to move there, I thought you be smart enough to know that." great I am an idiot "What about Gem, or school?! I don't want to leave just so you can get a job!" I know I went too far but I don't want to move I had to let Mom know that. " I never said I would get the job" Mom looks at me with a sad expression and just leave the room.

  No pony talked at dinner. Well we talked just not about what happened this afternoon or what we're going to have to pack for. I know we arent going to move there if Mom doesn't get the job, but staying for a week still needs packing. I  eat my daisy sandwich and gulp down my drink. As soon as I'm done I go to my room.

  I look at my Rainbow Dash wondebolt poster and look at my wonderful lightning bolt bed, my blue walls, the cloud desk, the Spruce chairs, I look at everything. I might have to lose most of it if we move. I feel bad for thinking this, but I don't want Mom to get that job. I know would be good for family and all, but I really really really really really really really don't want to leave my friends and every pony I know.

  I sigh. I go to my fulffy desk and go back to scetching what I would like to add to the update. Many things are drawn on the paper, berries, apples, pears, all spawning randomly on trees and bushes. My mouth is acking something auful when I'm done. Placing my paper in my saddle bags, I state out my window as the soft sunset orange sets being a hill, making the sun beyond my reach. I head to my bed and fall asleep.

     The next morning is a buzz, my sisters coming to check on me to see if I'm packing. I gallop around my room to look for my gem from Gemstone. After finding it, I stick it in a larger sized saddlebags. I grab everything I need, my folder, my toothbrush, ect. Upon finishing, I open my computer and work on the textures on the berries and bushes I wish to add.

     Mom calls me over when we are about to leave. "Mine, were leaving! Grab your stuff!" I stick the heavy saddlebags on myu back and scan my room fore anything else I missed, seeing my computer, I quickly grab it and place it carefully in the saddle bags. I rush onto the chariot just as it takes off, wobbling, my sister grabs my hoof and let's me sit next to her. "This is going to be sooo much fun!" Dinky exclaims. I just stare at the ground passing Gem's house. I see her and I wave. She waves as I back away from Pony Ville.
