Cloudchaser ducked, narrowly missing a flying burst of lightning flying at her head.  Seeing a stray splash of rainbow on the ground, she immediately stepped aside, knowing the damage rainbows could inflict on one’s hooves.  The entire Cloudsdale weather factory was a wreck.  Clouds were flying everywhere, the rain refused to fall and steadily rose into the sky, and thunder and lightning were zooming through the sky, seeing what Pegasi they could place an injury on.  And who could forget how the rainbow pools overflowed, and rainbows were flowing all over the weather factory.  To make matters worse, all the Pegasus ponies in the Cloudsdale weather factory were running around the cataclysmic scene, crashing into clouds, rainbow pools, and each other.  Cloudchaser felt a hoof tap her.  She turned around.  It was Flitter, one of her best friends.

“What are we going to do?” Flitter asked, her eyes wide with horror.

“I don’t know,” replied Cloudchaser.  She looked towards the sky.  Where was Rainbow Dash when she was actually needed?  Was she away making sure the weeds didn’t overtake the grass again?

The situation outside was no better than the way it was five minutes ago.  A team of Pegasi was trying to scoop the rainbows into buckets, but failing incredibly.  Another team of Pegasi was trying to corral storm clouds that insisted on zooming in the other direction.

Just when Cloudchaser was about to lose all hope, she heard a familiar voice.

“All Pegasi follow me!”  Cloudchaser looked up.  Rainbow Dash was hovering in the sky, her game face on, looking as proud and awesome as ever.  With a flurry of wings, all the Pegasi took off in Rainbow Dash’s direction.  Cloudchaser followed.  They landed on a cloud not very far from the weather factory, which was still in ruin.  Rainbow Dash flew back down to the weather factory.  She waved her hoof, and a sparkling, twinkling, hot air balloon rose up.  It landed on the weather factory, and a purple unicorn stepped out.  Cloudchaser recognized her from Rainbow Dash’s stories.  Her name was Twilight Sparkle.  For a moment, Cloudchaser was worried Twilight Sparkle would fall right through the clouds, since she wasn’t a Pegasus pony, but she remembered that Twilight Sparkle was skilled at magic and probably cast a spell on herself to make her able to walk on clouds.  A magenta glow emitted from her horn, and immediately, the weather factory began to clean itself.  The clouds were corralled, the rainbows were back in their pools, and the rain started to fall instead of rise.

“Rainbow Dash, you saved us!”  Flitter shouted gratefully.

“Thanks.  That’s what I’m here for.  Twilight helped,”  Rainbow Dash answered.  “Okay!  Time for roll call.” she continued.  “Cloudchaser?”

“Here,” answered Cloudchaser.

“Flitter?” said Rainbow Dash.

“Here,” answered Flitter.

“Derpy?”  said Rainbow Dash.

No answer.  All the Pegasi gasped.  Immediately, they began flying around, calling out her name.

“Calm down, everypony.  She’s right here,” said Rainbow Dash.  Derpy was found sitting on a small cloud, with an empty pack of muffins.

“I can’t find my muffin.  Have you seen my muffin?  It fell on a stormy cloud, which in turn zapped a rainbow pool, which exploded all over a rain cloud.  I just don’t know what went wrong.”  Derpy said sadly.

Cloudchaser immediately facehoofed.  So Derpy was the reason the whole weather factory was in chaos earlier.  When she removed her hoof from her face, she saw Rainbow Dash flying over with a very burnt, very shrunken muffin.

“Derpy, I think I found your muffin,” she said.

Derpy popped the muffin in her mouth.  “Thanks, Rainbow Dash!  You’re my hero,” she replied.
