She is somewhat slightly taller than other unicorns. Large sunglasses cover much of her face. Her bright blue coat shines in the bright light of the lobby of the tall skyscraper. The unicorn drops the bags she had been carrying with her magic. She uses a small hoof to brush her light brown bangs out of her eyes. The unicorn shakes her head and lets her brown mane sit comfortably on her head. A ruffled unicorn approaches the taller female. He holds a phone to one of his ears and continues babbling. "Yeah, I'll get her to perform there on what... August fifteenth? That's tomorrow! There's no way you're going to get her to Appleoosa by tomorrow morning!" The unicorn shuffles through a stack of papers. "Uh... Yeah. She's supposed to be up in Canterlot Lights tonight..." The pony wearing the glasses slowly pulls them off to reveal her piercing brown eyes. She folds the glasses and hangs them on the collar of her mint-colored turtleneck sweater. She looked at the babbling pony before rolling her eyes. "Okay, look. I've got her right here. We're supposed to be recording right now... Yeah, yeah... Of course... I'll arrange it... Call you back later... Yeah, later." The pony puts his phone away before looking at the unicorn. "Where the hell have you been?!" The unicorn throws papers up and watching them scatter across the lobby. "I've been calling and making appointments for you with different nightclubs, and where have you been? Shopping?" "Look," the unicorn drags a hoof through her mane again. "What do you mean, look? We've been looking for you for three hours! You've got a performance in about two hours up in Canterlot Lights! Come on, let's go!" The unicorn pushes the blue mare into an elevator before promptly closing the door. The elevator is rather cramped with the amount of bags that the mare had brought it. She had placed her glasses back on. "Look, you don't look any cooler or any older by having those glasses on. Take them off." The colt almost commanded the mare. "Uh... Just because you're my manager doesn't mean you can dictate the way I dress, ya'know?" The mare pulled a large set of light pink headphones from her bag before plopping them onto her head. She nuzzled through one of her bags before music began to blast thought the headphones. "Lily of the Valley, you turn that music down! Your ears!" The manager quickly pulled off Lily of the Valley's headset before the door to the elevator dinged open. The colt pulled the bags out of the elevator before chucking them across the room and watching them land on the other side of the room. The blue mare, Lily of the Valley, pulled her glasses halfway down her face before looking at her managed in disbelief. "Dude. What the hell, man? You tryin' to kill my shit?" Lily of the Valley scoffed lightly before walking away from the colt, her tail swinging a tad bit too much. "Look, get ready for your performance. There's going to be a lot of renowned artists at Canterlot Lights tonight. You want to-" "I know, make a good impression, get collaboration requests, yada yada. I get it!" Lily of the Valley shouted, frustrated. "Look, I know! I know! I'm not a little filly anymore, ya'see? I can do things on my own!" Lily of the Valley moved towards a small room that was labeled "Reika-san". The colt followed. "Remember to brush your mane and not-" The door slammed in the manager's face. "...Overdo the perfume..." MEANWHILE, IN CANTERLOT LIGHTS: "Hey, did 'ya hear 'bout that new kid performing here tonight?" An alabaster mare was splayed out on a couch in the VIP section of Canterlot Lights nightclub. She sipped from a small martini glass. "Oh, yeah. I heard that she can put up quite a show." The light gray colt sat in a similar manner on a different couch. "Well, she's only performing for a few minutes, an hour, tops." The mare replied in between sips. "But it's the kid's debut, you know? Let her have her fun." The colt massaged his head nervously. "Oh, so the kid's a mare? Who knew?" The mare smiled almost dangerously, fiddling with the glass in her hooves. "Why, what's wrong Vinyl? I heard she has a nice plot," the colt chuckled nervously before looking down. "H-hey, Neon! I didn't need to know that!" The mare tried to cover up her lightly reddening face with her purple goggles. "I didn't know you swung that way, Scratch," the colt replied. "Who knew, huh?" "I'm perfectly straight, you bastard!" The mare laughed nervously before chucking the martini glass at her fellow friend. "Well, then if she has as nice of a plot as everyone says, then we can invite her over for a few drinks here and there..." Neon Lights suggested before taking a glance at Vinyl. "Dude, she's probably not even legal yet. Think about it." Vinyl Scratch replied hurriedly, almost cracking under the pressure. "No, she's legal all right. She's actually only like five months younger than you." Neon Lights pointed out to Vinyl, who was younger than he was by a few weeks. "She just looks real young cuz' she has that hair." "And that nice, voluptuous plot..." Vinyl thought out loud. "Dude. You're not straight." Neon Lights slugged Vinyl's shoulder softly. "Have you seen her posters though? That ass..." Vinyl's gaze was lost in the distance. "Dude, let's go. We gotta set up for the kid. She's supposed to be here in a hour." Neon Lights pulled himself off of the couch before walking out of the VIP room and into the club's main room.

The carriage was just pulling under a small shack-like building at the corner of two streets. The walls were a bare gray compared to the taller bars and restaurants around it, and the roof was a dull red. Lily of the Valley's carriage pulled up next to the ratty-looking door. "You sure this is the place?" Lily of the Valley pulled her glasses down to look at the crooked sign. Half the letters in 'Canterlot Lights' were either dead or flickering uncontrollably. "Yup this is the place." The manager pushed Lily of the of the carriage. "Now go, you start in ten minutes." "Ten minutes? Chill, bro." Lily of the Valley slipped her glasses back on. The turtleneck sweater was replaced by a black leather jacket, and her brown mane was brushed back in a style similar to the Wonderbolt's wind-blown manes. "No, Lily... Come on, you've got to at least try." The managed placed a hoof on her shoulder. "You didn't try last week at the competition in Trottingham..." "I spun circles around that kid." Lily looked at her manager and smiled slyly. "I got this." "I hope so..." The manager looked down at the floor. "Lily... Pink socks? Come on, at least go with black!" "Oh, really? It's okay. They won't see them!" Lily of the Valley replied with a quick wink. She made her way through the small, cramped street before opening the door to the club. The club wasn't anything like what Lily of the Valley expected. It was much lighter inside than it was outside. Posters of multiple artists covered the walls. She saw a couple of artists she had battled, but most of the walls were dedicated to two artists: the famous McW1ish and DJ Pon-3. Lily of the Valley stared at the posted behind the DJ stage for a few moments. It featured the two DJs in a small chair, with some rather uncomfortable-looking positions. Of course, it would be a battle poster. She looked at the date. About two years ago. The lights in the club were rather peculiar. The roof didn't sag despite the amount of lights hung up on the ceiling. Lights of all shapes and sizes. The floor, too, was mostly covered with square lights of color. Lily placed a socked hoof on one of the squares and whimpered. This place is crazy... I don't work with lights! Shit! "So there she is. The youngest artist in the Top 5 after Vinyl Scratch." A voice behind Lily startled her. "Why so nervous, Reika-san? Hmm?" A small white hoof wrapped itself around her shoulders. "Uhm... I'd like to get to my dressing room, ya'know?" Lily of the Valley didn't bother reminding the pony to use her actual name. Why's she using Reika-san? I mean, I understand it's my stage name, but come on! I ain't even on stage yet... "The only thing you'll need for that sweet flank of yours will be an undressing room," the pony behind her licked Reika's ear. "By the time I'm done with you, you'll be on the moon." A hoof slid down Reika's back to pull at one of the socks on her hind legs. "Vinyl, cut it out, you're scaring the poor kid." Another voice from behind Reika made her jump out of the white pony's hooves. "Look, she's completely ready for it!" Reika looked at the white pony who spoke, and the gray one that was silently looking her over. DJ Pon-3 and McW1sh in the flesh. Standing right in front of Reika. And... trying to... seduce her? "I'm sorry 'bout Vinyl there, she's a little... rowdy sometimes." The gray colt scratched his mane. "Hey, no proper introductions yet. I'm Neon Lights." "I'm Vinyl Scratch." Reika looked at each of the ponies. So that's what my manager meant when he said to make a good impression. "I heard you ran circles around a couple artists in Trottingham last week. Care to show us your stuff?" Neon Lights pushed Reika's backside towards the station. "Here, get your stuff set up and whatnot. We'll be out in about thirty minutes." Neon Lights nodded to Vinyl, who took one last look at Reika before licking her lips lightly. "See ya in thirty." Vinyl watched Neon walk away before trotting up to the younger artist. "So, Reika-san. You wanna catch a few drinks after you're done? You're welcome to go anywhere you want in this club. Everything's on me." Reika-san nods. "See ya in thirty, then!" Reika-san watched the alabaster unicorn walk out and into a smaller room branching off of the main club room. She blinked her brown eyes a couple times. She began to start moving a few things from the station in order to replace it with smaller things she found in her pockets. Lily remembered that she put a special spell on her pockets before pulling out a rather large amplifier out of he right pocket, followed by a few records. "Hope they don't mind me remixing something of theirs... Because I am..." Reika muttered to herself lightly before pulling out her headphones. The same ones she had used in the elevator. She smiled to herself as she plugged in a few things, including her phone. She plugged in a pink nub here and a light blue on here. As she was about to plug in an amplifier, she noticed that she forgot one of her most needed items. Well, shit. "You're such a perverted ass, Vinyl. You're scaring the shit out of the poor kid." Neon chucked a martini glass at the mare. "Dude, come on. Let me have some fun! I saw you looking at that plot," Vinyl nudged Neon with a small bolt of magic. "Come on, you have to admit, she's a good-looking one." "She's probably taken, Vinyl. You've got no chance." Neon adjusted his goggles. "Plus, she doesn't look like she's a fillyfooler." "Oh, cut it out, Neon. I know she likes it." Vinyl rubbed her stomach and dropped a shot glass. It shattered on the floor. "She looked more violated that turned on." Neon rolled his eyes. "And that plot... Oh Celestia!" "Vinyl-" "Hey, Neon. If you could do Reika-san, would you do her?" Vinyl turned to Neon before taking another shot. "Uhm... Well..." "Don't deny it. I know you would." Vinyl laughed lightly. The DJ sat up on the couch. "Vinyl, I don't know what you're talking about..." Neon tried to hide the light blush coming along with a glass. "It's okay," Vinyl came over to Neon and whispered in his ear: "I invited her over once she's done... But ya' gotta share."

Reika-san literally looked away for a few seconds to press a few buttons on the synthesizer in order to warm up, and before she knew it, the dance floor was covered with ponies dancing and passing out from the drinks being served at the bar. The lights flashed in unrecognizable patters. Reika looked over to a much smaller station where Neon Lights was mashing a few buttons here and there. "So, how do you like it?" A rather sultry voice made Reika jump. "Hmm? Not having fun yet?" The pony slid a hoof over Reika's shoulder and down her arm before pressing a few buttons here and there and creating a rather famous bass line that everyone seemed to know. "Why, are you using some of your own equipment? It's not fair, you silly little filly..." The alabaster hoof moved towards a bright blue plug before drawing a few circles around it. "Uhm... I'd rather not have you touch those," Reika pulled off her headphones and let them sit on her neck. She turned around and looked into the eyes of the mare. "Look, can I mix now?" Reika tried to sound cooler, but her shaking voice completely changed her attitude. "A bit nervous, huh?" Vinyl slipped her goggles on. "Well, like I said, you've got 'ta come over to the VIP section, 'kay?" Vinyl disappeared. Reika shivered. The hell is she thinking? She better not be tryin' to hit on me, because I sure as hell don't want to start anything with a one-night stand. The rest of the performance went rather smoothly. The lights kept the ponies dancing, and Reika tried to keep up with the beats, but her eyes constantly wandered over to the colt by the station. He wasn't much older than Reika was, and when he leaned over, she caught sight of a nicely toned flank. A patch of gray and a patch of blue. Reika almost mistook the guy for Neon. But the cutie mark was different. Something... buff and completely... Whoa. "Reika-san!" A voice from the crowd shouted. "Drop the bass! Drop the bass!" The lines slowly turned into a chant, and Reika had no choice but to pull one of the colored plugs. The bass line was terrific, and the crowd silenced itself for a split second before almost tearing the roof down with cheers. Reika glanced over to the light station to look for the colt, but he was gone amass the giant, multicolored crowd. Reika sighed. The crowd continued to dance as Reika slowly began running out of ideas. The whole performance had been freestyled, and she was running out of options. She gently began to play around with the last knob, a large black know with a small skill on it. "You know, you can just go. You don't have to use that last one. Vinyl's already waiting for you in the VIP room." Reika looked back to see Neon Lights pressing a few buttons lightly. "How do you even know what the button does?" Reika challenged, her eyebrows rising slowly. "You can't force me to do anything, you self-centered... Uhm..." Reika blushed and put her glasses back on. "You're kinda cute when you run out of words to say." Neon Lights turned around and walked towards the VIP room. Reika blushed lightly. "Drop the bass! Drop the bass! Drop the bass!" The chanting of the crowd got progressively louder until Reika decided to pull the last plug. She scanned the crowd before locking eyes with the colt way up front. He leaned on one of the amplifiers, his hooves crossed. Reika looked at the colt, then down at the plug, and at the colt once more. Green eyes pierced Reika's brown ones. A chill ran right down her back. Reika ruffled herself up in her leather jacked before locking eyes with the colt and gripping the plug. And damn, she pulled that plug. Hard. The bass line shook the whole club, and even after the bass ended, it echoed through the whole dance floor. While the crowd was stunned, the mare quickly hopped off of the stage and trotted into the VIP room. However, not before looking at that one colt. "Hey, look! Reika decided to show up, eh?" Vinyl was stretched out luxuriously on one of the couches in the VIP room. Neon Lights did the same on a different couch. "Take a seat, have a drink," Vinyl used her magic to push a small shot glass into Reika's hooves. Neon chuckled lightly to himself. He stretched his body and adjusted himself on the couch before speaking. "Say, quite a performance, eh?" "Uh... Sure?" Reika swished the contents of the shot glass. "Hey, dude. Just drink it," Vinyl sat up on the couch and downed her shot glass. "It's called *hic* Liquid Pride. We had someone *hic* special mix it up for 'ya." Reika looked at Vinyl and tipped her head to one side. "I saw you starin' at him a couple times." Vinyl laughed as she saw Reika blush. "Don't worry, he was starin' *hic* back." Reika facehoofed. Well, shit. "But that's okay. I think everyone liked that flank of yours." Neon's attempts to be subtle obviously were working just fine. "Uhm. Neon. Might wanna go *hic* to the bathroom, ya'know?" Vinyl laughed, and Reika covered her eyes as Neon rushed out the room. "So, uhm... Why am I here again?" Reika ruffled her mane. "We're here to entertain you, Reika-san." Well, I'm screwed now.
