Maxillus a changeling nymph has served his own mothers hive well and has been sent abroad to serve her cousin, Queen Diaphene's hive in the Howling Caverns in the north. Since then he has served her as spy, assassin, love collector, guard and team leader. But this was never the primary reason why he was sent there. With there emotional harvest complete Queen Diaphene informs Maxillus he will now serve his true purpose to the hive.
