A thousand years ago:

Princess Luna was not yet used to her new duties, or her newfound Alicorn Magic. Some of those, who did not approve with an Equestrian Diarchy, decided to get rid of one of the sisters. Fleeing from a sudden ambush, Princess Luna crashes into the Everfree forest. The Aura of the forest twisting her magic, her teleportation spell goes wrong. Instead of teleporting her back to Canterlot, a completely clueless human is transported to her side…..
