Verbolton: Speed Demons of Equestria

Chapter 1

It was a hot sticky day in July, and a boy named Zeke was just settling into a seat on Verbolten, a new launch coaster in Busch Gardens Williamsburg, he had just pulled down his restraint and was waiting patiently for the ride to start, just then the voice of a crazy women told the riders “remember, don’t look back as you brave the Black Forest,” the train then left the station and arrived at the launcher, it was then catapulted into a dark building where the coaster twisted and turned, in the building, lightning flashed and thunder cracked,  it eventually came to a stop on a section of track, Zeke covered his ears as he thought something was going to jump on the train, instead the track fell, Zeke felt his stomach lurch, the train then rolled off again, but something happened, a real bolt of lightning struck the train causing it to energize and opening a giant portal in space it was then sucked into a portal. In the portal the train came apart, cars separated and so did the seats,

Zeke was left floating alone when the piece he was in began to expand in width and length, the restraint bar disappeared and the legroom expanded, he was soon sitting in a strange vehicle, he noticed the front had a bubble shape to it, he could not see the rest of it due to the shape, to rear view mirrors began to sprout from the sides and the glass lenses appeared forming from a liquid like substance, then the headlights snapped on and the engine roared to life, he threw it into gear and floored the gas pedal, the car shot forward with mighty roar, he swerved to the left and right as lightning bolts flashed, barely missing his roadster, he saw an opening in the portal and shot for it, the strange vehicle sped towards the opening.

The car sped out of the portal’s exit and into a forest, Zeke slammed his foot on the brake and looked around nervously, he looked around for the something that could let him out of the car, he soon found a button that read open and pressed it, he watched in awe as the front end opened allowing to climb out, there is only one car that can do that, he thought as he stepped out of the car and walked around it, he gasped when he saw what the car was, he muttered, “no, it can’t be,” the car was electric blue with Wave Rippers on the side and had two white surfboards with hotrod flames, it’s chrome shone brightly in the moonlight, he walked towards the back to discover a big block turbo charged fuel injected Cadillac Northstar V8 engine humming in the back, he walked to the bed noticing a latch, he opened it find a spacious trunk, the car also had silver wheels with six holes with thin tires and blue racing seats “the Deora 2,” he said with an excited grin. He got back in the car the front closed, checked the wipers which were working properly, he then checked the turn signals and hazard lights, they worked, he then noticed the car also had a three point racing harness, he noticed a button on the side of the steering wheel, he pressed only for the car to suddenly jump and hover, “no way,” he said, he deactivated the jumpers and actually found the button for the Nitrox 2 boosters, as he was checking the car, he heard a growl, he looked around alarmingly, just then a monster jumped on the car’s roof glaring at him through the windshield, he flung the car into reverse and punched the pedal causing the beast to slip, he continued to back up before fastening his seat belt and jamming the gear into drive and flooring the gas pedal, the car shot forward knocking over the monster, he dared a glance into the rearview, the monster was right behind but was losing ground, more beasts jumped out, the car dodged and weaved as Zeke continued to look for a way out, he soon noticed the forest was clearing and sped out past a cottage, startling it’s owner awake.

Fluttershy was sleeping peacefully in her bed, she sighed as she dreamt she was in a beautiful forest interacting with its animals, she was awoken by loud roar, the sound quickly disappeared, she went downstairs to see what happened, the animals were also as nervous “now, now there is nothing to be afraid of my dears,” she softly, she looked at the road next to her cottage noticing the strange tracks in the road I must tell my friends about this, she thought to herself.

Zeke was now speeding down a road that ran through a lush grassy field, he noticed a town up ahead and began to rocket towards it, maybe I can get some help, at the speed he was doing he reached the town in no time, “I seem to be in somewhere Europe,” he said a loud noticing the buildings architecture style, he looked straight ahead to notice the building in the center, he braked hard and swerved, the Deora 2 spun out and stopped, he looked around shaken, he got out of the car and looked around, “seems everyone is asleep,” he said, got back in the car and decided to get some sleep himself, I will ask in the morning, he thought, little did he know he woken everyone up in the town, he killed the ignition and closed his eyes.

As he was sleeping, a large group of ponies came out of the buildings, including Princess Twilight Sparkle, “what in Equestria?” she said as eyed the blue machine parked in front of her, it was a strange looking carriage, she got closer to the thing and read “Wave Rippers?” She read the title on the on the side,  then she walked towards the front and hovered to look at the roof of the carriage she read “Hot Wheels Highway 35?” She read the markings on the roof, “I must write to Princess Celestia,” she said. She looked inside and noticed the sleeping figure, "I must bring him inside," she said to herself. She used to her magic and watched stunned as the front of the carriage opened up with a soft but eerie whirring sound. She was impressed with the inside of the carriage, the seats, buttons, and the belts built into the seats. She gently picked up the sleeping figure and carried him to the library, she laid him in a bed in her guest room and went to write a letter.

Zeke began to stir as he felt something on top of him that was soft and warm, he woke up he realized he was in a comfy bed, “where’s my car?” he said to himself.

“Shhh, don’t be afraid dear,” came a soft motherly voice, Zeke jumped and looked up as giant vanilla ice cream colored alicorn stood over him with soft smile, the alicorn had a flowing mane of blue, green, violet, and pink that seemed to blow even though there was no wind, she wore a gold neck piece with a purple jewel situated in the middle, gold shoes on all four hooves, and a simple yet elegant gold crown, “let’s get you something to eat, then we will talk,” she said softly. Zeke nodded and followed the alicorn, “your “Wave Rippers” carriage is parked in front of the library in case you are wondering”, she took him to a window where the his Deora 2 was parked, the alicorn lead him down stairs where another alicorn, a purple one with a black, purple, and magenta mane tale greeted him.

“Hi there, I’m Princess Twilight Sparkle,” she said sweetly.

Zeke stared in disbelief, “I, I’m Zeke,” he said nervously.

“Well hello Zeke, I’m princess Celestia, co-ruler of Equestria.”
