Chapter 2 Test Drive

It was morning in the Crystal Empire and Shinning Armor and Princess Mi Armore Cadenza  had just woken up and were having breakfast when a guard came running in panting “Sir the Princess needs you in Ponyville, she says it is about strange looking carriage,” Shinning nodded

“understood, thank you Lieutenant,” he said, he quickly teleported to Ponyville leaving Cadence confused.

Zeke followed the two princesses down to the kitchen where he saw a purple and green lizard cooking breakfast, “who are you?” Zeke asked stunned,

“I am Spike and I am a dragon, What are you?”

“A human and my name is Zeke,”

They sat down to eat when Zeke started explaining what had happened, where he was, the car that was parked outside, and about his world in general. They were about finish eating when they heard a roar from outside, Zeke ran to the window and stared in disbelief “how did they manage to start that car up,”

“I do not know,” Twilight said.

They ran out the door, while Princess Celestia tapped on the window of the car. Zeke stared in shock at the white unicorn sitting in his car, the unicorn looked back with the same expression.

A couple of guards were examining the Deora 2, “wow, if only our carriages could look as cool as this,” he said, running his hoof over the smooth lines of the Deora 2

“I wonder what this Wave Rippers is supposed to be,” said the leader,

“What about this “Hot Wheels Highway 35”, said another guard who was hover above eying the roof where the symbol was. Just then a flash of light appeared and out stepped Shining Armor, his mouth fell open at the sight of the Deora 2. Another guard gave the Deora a little buck only to hurt himself and cause the carriage to rattle

“Ow!” he cried out

“Aw come on, that was not even necessary,” cried another

“Ahem,” Shining coughed, the guards quickly stood at attention

“At ease guards,  please continue and try not to buck the carriage again,” he said

He turned his attention back to the car “Whoa, I was not expecting the “strange carriage” to look like this,” he said, he galloped up to the parked vehicle, examining every inch of it from the engine, cockpit, surfboards, all the way to the tail lights and exhaust pipes,

“It looks self propelled,” he said, using his magic he discovered a latch which he soon activated, he watched in awe as the front opened up revealing a spacious interior, he walked up and examined the inside, looking at the part that opened he noticed a wheel and set of what looked keys hanging from the side built in to the latch. He hoped in and the front closed, knowing how the entrance worked, he did not panic like he probably should have, he looked around for the keys and found once again, he tried to grab them with his hoof but could not grip them, he grumbled and carefully grabbed them with his magic suddenly realizing that they turned only forwards, out of curiosity he turned them all the way forward only to be greeted with shutter, a cough and then a roar, he jumped at this while everypony else ran away in fright, the noise settled down to a growl as the machine idled, he noticed everypony came back out to gaze at the machine, noticing the pedals he reached down as best he could and gave them a nudge,

“VROOM!” the machine responded, he flinched but nudged them again and soon found himself giggling with excitement,

“VROOM, VROOM, VROOM!” the engine roared, a sudden tap on the window snapped him out of his trance. His eyes opened wide as he saw his little sister, Princess Celestia and a strange bipedal figure with them. He looked at the keys and quickly turned them backwards shutting of the ignition, the front opened and he stepped out, his face was as red as a fire engine.

“How did you manage to start it up,” the figure asked in awe,

“Lucky guess,” Shining answered half truthfully. He looked at Zeke only to see him trying not to laugh but failing miserably at it.

“What are you smiling at?” he asked, getting more and more embarrassed,

“your face is redder than a Ferrari,” Zeke said.

Shining now looked at him in a confused manner

“I’ll explain later,” Zeke added.

“I would like to see what it can do,” said Celestia.

“Alright then,” said Zeke. He climbed into the driver’s seat and lowered the front of the Deora. He grasped the keys and gave the ignition a crank. Once again the car roared to life, he threw into gear and floored the gas pedal.

Everypony looked on amazed as the carriage roared and sped away. Only to turn around for another pass. It screamed by, took a left turn, and sped away. Everypony watched open mouthed as the car, took another left turn an began doing laps around the library.

Zeke, maneuvered the car with little difficulty around the sharp bends of the town, making sure none of the ponies got in his way. As he drifted the car around another turn he noticed a pink alicorn walk in front of him. He quickly honked the horn and watched as the alicorn looked at him eyes wide with terror. He quickly pressed the button for the jump jets. The Deora 2 sailed straight up over the alicorn, once he saw that she was safe. He deactivated the jump jets, the car landed with a thud and slid to halt.

Just then a flash of light appeared and out stepped another alicorn, this one was bubblegum pink with a mixture of purple, magenta, and gold in her mane, she wore a small crown on her head, a gold necklace and gold shoes. As soon as she stepped into Ponyville, she heard a sound and saw a carriage speeding towards her. Her mouth fell open at the sight of the carriage, it was not being pulled by anything and was approaching rapidly. Her eyes along with everypony else’s opened in fear and terror when she and the other ponies saw it was about to collide with her. “HONK!” the carriage blared as it rocketed towards her. She quickly charged up her horn to defend herself, but before she could do anything the carriage lifted on its own, she and everypony else watched awestruck as the car sailed over her head noticing it was propelled by fire. Once it was clear, it landed with a thud, lost control and slid to halt. She quickly galloped over to the vehicle.

Zeke shook his head dazed and confused, what happened? he thought. He looked in the review mirror, and saw the pink alicorn and the rest of the ponies galloping towards him. He carefully put the car in reverse and backed it up slowly, turning so it faced them. He shifted it into park, and got ready to climb out.

Cadence walked up to the vehicle, she was more surprised than angry, she also knew it was her own fault that she got in the way, so she had no reason to blame the owner of the carriage. She heard a soft whirring sound and watched as the front of the car opened up and out stepped the driver. “Whoa,” is all she could say.
