I sat at my desk watching the training go on in the courtyard. This was always how I eased myself before we were sent to investigate and/or eradicate paranormal things. Boss told me it was some reports if "Severed horse heads, guts, and blood" on the windows. I couldn't imagine anything like it, I mean who the FUCK does shit like that? If I found out it's some kind of prank i'm going to be steamed, this paranormal shit always freaked me out.
I heard a knock on my door and swiveled around in my chair. "Who is it?" I called out, only to hear my teammate, Johnson's voice call back.
"Time for deployment." He stated. I rose from my chair and walked to the door, turning the sliver-ish knob and swinging it open.
"Did you confirm what we're supposed to be up against?" I asked, I was more nervous now than ever, and I was the leader of my eradication team.
Johnson shook his head and motioned me to follow him. I did so. Johnson had been my pal since we were both privates here, we'd been given a choice to what squad we got and we chose eradication of course, but neither of us knew what the hell we'd be doing in this squad till it was too late. After we'd been sucked in to this we did it and got used to it, we just went in, did what was needed, and pop, we were gone. We met our three other squad mates 'roud the corner to the helipad.
"H-hey hey hey! Swanson!" Called out Johnson to one of the three. "What are you guys doing up here?" It sounded as though he was trying to be oblivious.
"We're here to meet up for the mission, remember??" Replies Swanson, who, for some reason, was the only one that talked out of the three.... the other two just looked around and nodded at questions that involved "Yes" or "No"
"Alright." I finally said. "Lets get to the helipad and get out asses outta here." I motioned for everyone to follow me. As was expected, they all did, and I just walked up the flight of stairs to the helipad, my mind focused on what was going to happen in this little house we were going to. I saw a photo of one of the horse heads captured. It was pink... with fluffy hair... it's eyes were black and bleeding..... it scared the holy shit out of me and made me poder what the fuck I was doing even agreeing to go.
By the way; in case you were wondering what out other two squad members names were, we were just told to call them one and two, don't ask me, I don't know. Anyway, we made it up to the helipad. The speeding hut hut hut of the rotors deafening us. I could barely hear Johnson crack a smart ass joke as we approached the chopper. He must've seen that look on my face, the one I get before our paranormal missions.
I got a sickening feeling in my gut as we lifted off. Like that sixth sense thing when you just KNOW something bad is gonna happen, but you just can't tell what. I watched as the military base sank behind the horizon, the farther we got the worse I felt, I was so terrified, this was beyond my comprehension, why did I feel this way, what was I gonna do when something bad did happen? These questions stirred over and over in my head for hours until we were hovering just a few hundred feet away from the manor.
I looked down at it. The lights were on, but boss said the place was abandoned.... the sickening feeling grew, but hey, if I pussied out now , i'd be court marshaled, and put in military prison without trial. I slid down the fast rope, following me was Johnson, Swanson, and then one and two. We all pulled up our balaclava and swung out rifles, shotguns, and PDW's to our fronts. By the way, PDW mean Personal Defense Weapon. Anyways, I turned the knob on one of the double doors and pushed it open slowly. I could've sword I smelled something baking..... like muffins... or cupcakes... anyway, as we stepped in, the smell faded and we all looked around.
"Place is kinda cozy!" Said Johnson. "Might keep it for myself." I knew he was just joking but sometimes, when things got serious, he was just too playful.
"Shut up and let's move!" I said, getting tenser with every second passing. Just then, the oddest thing happen, and I think it even scared Johnson.
"VISITORS!!" Shouted a voice. It was female, cheery, and overall bubbly. "Oh I just love company!" Rang the voice once more. We all backing into a pentagon shape. Back to back we looked for the source. but we couldn't see anything, even with the lights on there wasn't a trace of life.
"This place gives me the fucking creeps." I said, walking out. I almost turned to walk out that door, but before I even made a move the door shut. I heard a little click clack noise that I knew meant that our fates were sealed.
"Man, I want the fuck outta here!" Called Johnson. "I ain't staying for that lady to kill me or somethin' you guys know what I mean, you heard it too!" I couldn't help but agree, but we had a mission.
"I wanna leave as bad as you do." I replied. "But we have a mission, and so what if there is a hostile here, we have GUNS for a reason." Johnson just nodded in response. He rarely ever just stopped talking, which means he finally got that same sickening feeling as me, absolute terror.
"Alright man, let's get this freaky shit done and get out, so what if the door's locked, we can shoot the fucking locks." I nodded in response, it was Swanson's turn to speak up now.
"G-guys.... I feel cold man..... real cold...." I turned to face out friend. His breath came out in puffs, like in the winter.
"Man, Swanson, you really are... holy shit dude." I watched as Johnson patted his shoulder. "Come on we just need to keep moving, it should pass."
"Come on guys enough dicking around! We gotta go!" I said, heading for a staircase not far to our left, and without a word everyone else followed. Each of the brown wood steps creaked as we slowly made our way up. On foot, then the next. Was all I was trying to think about as we stepped up to the next floor. A giggle, clearly made by the same female voice that said she loved visitors, came from a hallway to our left. I motioned for everyone to stay here, and let me go check it out, yes, I know, it's a terrible idea but hey, when you lead you need to lead by example.
I found the giggle's source from a room. I turned the knob not sure what girl I would see. As it swung open what I was was more gut-wrenching than anything i'd ever seen. "Oh... my god.." was all I could work without getting sick.
"Tee hee hee!" Called the pink little pony, fluffy pink hair, and blackened eyes with big red pupils. "Oh you're here! What a pleasant surprise! Oh but it's too bad you've seen my ingredients for my cupcakes!" I kept glancing around at the innards strung around the place, bladders, livers, large intestines, small intestines, and it all smelled like fucking cupcakes! I backed away quickly.
"Who and what the FUCK are you!?!?" I shouted, backing against a wall as the pink horse approached me.
"My name is Pinkamena Dianne Pie!!" She responded. "Famous baker all over EQUESTRIA!" She seemed to wave one arm, hoof- thing around like a spread.
"Equestria?" I asked, confusion and fear washing over me.
"You know, Equestria, Equestrians, Celestia and Luna? Rulers of the land?"
I backed up, questions now filling my head. One, how the fuck was a HORSE talking. Two, what the fuck was Equestria and who the hell were Celestia and Luna? and Three, why was Swanson walking up?
"Sir! Are you oka-" Before he could finish the sentence a meat cleaver was flung into his forehead.
I sank to the ground, coming down to eye level with the pink horse, she had a smile. "More ingredients! You're going to oh-so looove my cupcakes!" She said, looking at me, those red pupils deep and emotionless.
I stood up quickly and took out my pistol. "Fuck your cupcakes are you fucking crazy!?!? You just killed Swanson!!"
She took this weird deep inhale that made this almost hissy-ish noise. "You just... insulted my cupcakes! That's not very nice!" She poked my stomach forcefully with one of her hooves, backing me against the wall. "I'm going to tell Twilight on you!" She ran off, hooves galloping on the floor.
I ran to Swanson watching the blood pool down on the floor. I knelt in it and pulled is balaclava off and looked into his dead eyes. "Dammit... Swanson.... you've gotten yourself killed.... god dammit man..."
