I stood there, staring at my work, sure that it would please him. The blood dripping from the smiling faces of unicorns, pegasi, earth ponies and zebras alike as they hung from the slowly spinning carousel by ropes around their necks made me smile like a little colt when he made a work of macaroni art that got put up on the fridge. There were nine of them in all. I counted and smiled wider with each one raised to the slightly rotted wood and chipped paint that comprised the carousel. Some of them were missing parts; Legs, feathers from wings, chips off of horns here and there, small chunks from other parts of their bodies. Their colors varied, a nice shade of teal here, some orange there, I thought I saw some red fur on one of them, but I couldn't be sure, as he was drenched in his own blood.

I never imagined I would ever do anything like that, but life has a funny way of changing who you are.
