The morning after Chapter 1 – What Happened? Fluttershy was starting to wake up as usual to the sun in her eyes ready to get out of bed and feed her animals, but there was something different about the way she woke up today, she woke up snuggling into what seemed to be a very comfortable cyan coloured pony. “R…Rainbow…Dash! What are you doing in my bed?” Fluttershy screamed to the best of her ability but not very successfully. “Er….Flut…Fluttershy? I could as you the same question.” Rainbow looked around the room to check that it was actually her room and her suspicions were correct it was her room and it didn’t look so clean, there were empty wine bottled and Apple Jack Daniels. Pegasus ponies were known for their light-weighted-ness as the two mares just found out. *The night before* “Hurry up Fluttershy, we are going to be late…..again” Rainbow said quite angrily. “Sorry Rainbow but I have to look perfect for dinner with the others, I’m sure they will look wonderful” Fluttershy was getting into the dress Rarity made her for the Grand Galloping Gala but was also trying to do it to Rarity’s high standards. “You look great but we can’t all redo our dress’s to the way they were when we went to the Grand Galloping Gala.” Rainbow was starting to get more aggressive each time she spoke. Rainbow was also in her dress that she wore to the Grand Galloping Gala and it was obvious that she put it on in a rush. “Ok, I think I’m ready.” Fluttershy was ready but it was too late because they were late once again. “Good. Now let’s go, we are late…again” Rainbow was ready to take off to the sky only to remember that her friend was not the best of fliers and decided to keep her hooves on the ground. “Ok, let’s go before everypony thinks that we are not coming to meet them.” Fluttershy started to look a little more nervous than usual. They both galloped out the door of Fluttershys cottage and towards Sugar Cube Corner where everypony else was waiting chatting to one another. “When do you think they will arrive?” “I don’t know Twilight but hey were late last time too, Fluttershy must be fussing over her dress again poor darling, I shall have to teach her someday at the Boutique.” “Do you think they’re still coming Twi’?” “I don’t think they wouldn’t turn up without letting us know before the time we arranged.” Twilight looks up to the clock tower. “They are only 5 minutes late, they will be here soon” “We’re here, sorry we are late, someone was fussing over their dress again” Rainbow looks over to Fluttershy “Well we are all here now so we should get going to the restaurant. Rarity you know where to go don’t you?” “In deed I do darling, Follow me.” Rarity walks up the street that the market is normal in but since it was quite late at night there was just the town drunks on the street. They arrived outside of the fancy restaurant and it was obvious that it was for the rich ponies to spend all of their cash. “Why here Rarity? Why chose the place with the snobbiest of ponies in it?” Rainbow said a little too loud turning a few heads from the patio outside of the restaurant. “Well Rainbow my dear if you must know I come here all the time for my lunch and it happens to be the best place to dine in style close to us.” Rarity said giving Rainbow a very scolding look. “I guess we better go inside be..before it gets to..oo late.” Fluttershy nervously stuttered. “Your right Fluttershy we should get inside” Twilight was the first on to enter the fancy restaurant turning heads of all the posh ponies with her wings and horn indication that she is a princess. The other five followed her to the table in the corner of the room. “So what is it that we are here for again? Because this place isn’t as lively as our normal dining locations.” Pinkie didn’t sound too pleased about the restaurant not having fast paced music, balloons and streamers. “Well actually, there is nothing happening. That’s the whole point, it seems like the only time we are all together is when there is something threating all of equestrian. So I thought we should go out when there isn’t anything that requires us to fight.” Twilight looked around the table at the smiling faces of their friends. “So what should we have to drink girls? Maybe some Apple Jack Daniels and some wine for Rarity?” Rainbow started to giggle at Rarity grinning as if she was planning something evil.” And I really shouldn’t have too much to drink, I’m a bit of a light weight when it comes to it.” “But Rainbow I thought you were a dare devil that was always looking for a challenge, oh well, looks like I will have to take my shot challenge to somepony else” Rarity gave Rainbow a look that said ‘You’re going to accept my challenge or you will look like a fool’. “You’re on! First to 10 Shots” Rainbow walked over to the bar that was situated in the middle of the restaurant and asked for 20 shots of Apple Jack Daniels and returned with all 20 still perfectly aligned for their little challenge. “Girls we should really wait for the fo…” Twilight was rudely cut off by Rainbow “No, we can have food after we’ve had our shots. Ready Rarity?” Rainbow gave Rarity an evil look. “Oh yes i am. Oh sweet Celestia, what have i got myself into” Rarity drank the first 3 slowly but then began to catch up with Rainbow who was already starting to lose her balance. “I always thought you were the formal one Rarity but I guess we can’t be right all the time” Rainbow continued down her line of shots until she got to the end of them just before Rarity did. ”I knew I would win. IN YOUR FACE!” Rainbow began to stumble but caught herself in the safety of the chair. Rainbow has always been a bit of a boast when it comes to winning but everypony didnt really notice it since they had been around her for so long. “Ok, I guess we should order food” Twilight handed everypony an overpriced menu. Chapter 2 Is this ok? “Is that all you remember?” Fluttershy was still in the same bed as rainbow and she was starting to like it. Rainbow had always been a friends of Fluttershys since flight school and has never fallen out with her (Apart from when discord escaped) and didn’t plan on doing so anytime soon. “Well no, there are a few more things I do remember.” Fluttershy hung her head in shame, scared of Rainbows response of what she was about to tell her best friend. “It can’t be so bad, or can it?” Rainbow was beginning to worry about what was about to be told to her. *The Night Before* (Continuation of the last chapter) “oh oh oh me first me first” Pinkie was starting to get loud and hyper again while talking to the waiter. “I’ll have the…… soup, yes I want the soup” The waiter giving a simple head nod in response. “I’ll have some of th’ apple pie, thank y’al kindly” Apple jack was also thrilled to be in such a high class restaurant, after all she is only a farm pony. “What will it be for the princess” The waiter said giving a slight bow to Twilight “Ok then I will have a dandelion sandwich, please” Twilight didn’t want to spend too much time choosing since everypony was probably hungry and again the waiter just nodded his head. “Oh I simply can’t chose, there is such a wonderful range of food. I think I will have the….. Fondue, please” Rarity said with a Canterlot accent but still slurring her words. “I … I will have some hay fries, ple…please” Rainbow was right about Pegasus being lightweights, she was unable to keep her balance while standing. “What would you like Fluttershy? Fluttershy? Where did she go?” Twilight looked around the room and seen Fluttershy standing over at the bar getting some wine for herself. ‘Wait Fluttershy is drinking? There must be something wrong’ Twilight thought to herself. “I’ll be right back” Twilight walked over to Fluttershy at the bar who has noticeably been crying a little bit. “Shy, what’s wrong?” Twilight had always been there to help Fluttershy through bad times or the really bad times like when Angle Bunny passed away. “Oh, Twilight… nothing’s wrong, but there is” Fluttershy was hiding behind her mane to hide her eyes that started to fill up with tears again. Twilight gave the sad are a tight hug which stopped Fluttershy from crying. “Now, what’s wrong? Has someone hurt you?” Fluttershy just hid behind her mane a little bit more. “No, it’s just….i li…..i like. Rainbow Dash” Fluttershy started to whimper again but Twilight pulled her in closer. “It’s ok, I’m sure if you tell her the truth she will understand.” Fluttershy simply nodded. “Now lets go have some fun” Twilight picked up Fluttershys wine and walked back over to the table and set it down. “….And I asked Shy if she had a crush on any stallion and she said no but for the rest of the night she couldn’t keep her eyes…..” Rainbow was cut off mid-sentence by Fluttershys disapproving eyes “Hey shy, how you doing?” Rainbow chuckled nervously. “I’m fine, I’m just here to order my lunch and have fun with my friends” Fluttershys smile was obviously fake but nopony questioned it. “Darling its ok I picked out your favourite, Daffodil Soup” Rarity looked at Fluttershy who was smiling properly now but was still worried about what her friends response would be. *10 Minutes and 3 glasses of wine later* “Your food has arrived” The waiter put all the plates down on the table “This looks yummy” Pinkie was now licking her lips in anticipation but resisted and waited for everypony else to be ready to eat. All the food was put out in front of everypony “This looks delicious, I’m happy you brought us here Rarity” Twilight was now ready to eat her lunch too. “I’m glad you like it” Rarity was looking around the table to check everypony was ready to eat *Back into reality* (If that’s what you would call it?) “Wow Wow Wow. Shy… Did you say that you like me?” Rainbow had a smile on her face but was also a little bit nervous about hearing the response “Well…. Yes, I mean if that’s ok with you?” Fluttershy lowered her head onto the soft fluffy cloud, it felt like the mare had just entered a furnace. “Shy, I’ve been your friend since we were just little fillies, you could have just told me. Besides I’ve been feeling the same way for quite some time now and well now that it’s actually happening I couldn’t be happier” Rainbow had the biggest smile on her face while she waited for Fluttershys response. “So, does this mean…. You know, that this is ok? Us two together? Dating?” Fluttershy started to raise her head from the cloud bed. “I guess so. If you want to make it happen then, yeah it is fine” Rainbow was now gradually getting closer to Fluttershy. “Oh Rainbow” Fluttershy jumped on top of Rainbow snuggling into her light cyan fur while Rainbow wrapped her wing around Fluttershy. “So, are you going to tell me the rest of the story and how we ended up in my bed together and what happened?” Rainbow was now nuzzling Fluttershy “Sure thing…. Snuggly wubbly” Fluttershy gently started to nibble on Rainbows ear. “Don’t start with the nick names….. Nibbly wibbly” Rainbow just giggled at the fact she just called Fluttershy ‘Nibbly wibbly’. What do you think they will say?” Fluttershy tightened her grip on Rainbow. “They have been our friends since we moved here from Cloudsdale, I’m sure they will be fine with us being… you know…fillyfoolers.” Rainbow was now looking at Fluttershy with a serious look on her face. “Your right but I still think we should wait a while before we tell them.” Rainbow was still looking at Fluttershy with a serious look until Fluttershy looked up to her, now blushing slightly, obviously considering the consequences of letting their friends know about this. "If you are sure they wouldn't think any different of us, then it would be a relief to not have to hide this around them." “When should we tell them?” Rainbow was edging closer and closer to Fluttershy. “Well, maybe then next time we see them” Fluttershy was only just inches away from Rainbows lips when…. *Knock Knock* Fluttershy groans “Ugh, Ok, I better go see who it is” She glides her way down the stairs of the cloud house. Fluttershy opens the door to see her scientifically enhanced friend Twilight “Oh, hello Fluttershy. How are you? And more importantly why are you in Rainbows house and….” Twilight sniffs a little “…Why do you smell of Rainbow Dash?” She was now staring into the timid Pegasus’ eyes. “Well… maybe you should come inside so we can talk” Fluttershy hurried over to the couch “Take a seat” She pointed to the reclining chair that was obviously the one that had been used the most. “Let me go get Rainbow” She hurried back up the stairs and back into the room where Rainbow and she had slept. “Hey Shy, Who was it?” Rainbow didn’t look too worried about the whole situation they were in. “It’s Twilight and she’s waiting on the couch downstairs waiting for a reason for why I’m in your house and why I smell of you!” Fluttershys breathing pace had increased obviously panicking. “It’s ok shy, just calm down please, we can work this out together, ok?” Rainbow was giving Fluttershy a reassuring smile that almost instantly calmed her down. “Ok. We should go tell her, She will be wondering where I got off too” Fluttershy walked slowly out of Rainbows bed room with her new partner in close proximity. The hallway to the sitting area seemed to have become longer since she was last in it. Fluttershy now wasn’t looking so confident. “It’ll be ok shy, she will understand.” Rainbow nuzzled Fluttershys neck. Fluttershy gives a little smile to Rainbow and continues her way down the hallway and made her way down the stairs. “Oh, hello Rainbow” Twilight was now smirking at her. “So, enjoy your night out.” She give a very obvious eye wink to Rainbow. “Shut up twilight. We have something to say…… we are……” Rainbow was cut off by the impatient princess. “In a relationship.” Twilights smile was now bigger than ever. “How did you know?” Fluttershy was not moving her eyes off Twilight. “Well it was a bit obvious after your little make out session” Twilight was on the edge of laughter. “We WHAT!” Rainbow was now in a huge panic. “Calm down Rainbow. Me and pinkie were at it too, I think Rarity and Applejack” Twilight just giggled at the looks on Rainbow dash and Fluttershys face.
