Sumponeigh Knot Yew visits Pony Ville

“Hello Cranky, Hello Matilda”

“Hello Pinky”

“Shush, don’t tell her” whispered Cranky to Matilda

“Don’t tell me what” said Pinky

“That we are going to the train station” volunteered Matilda

“Are you going on a trip?”

“No, we meeting some pony” answered Matilda

“Oh, who?” asked Pinky

“Don’t tell her” whispered Cranky

“Cranky’s former boss” said Matilda

“Oh, he’s the reason Cranky is so cranky today” ventured Pinky

“No Pinky” interrupted Cranky “I’m the reason I am Cranky”

“So what is your old boss’s name?” asked Pinky

At this a mischievous smile crossed over Cranky’s face as he answered “Some Pony Not You”

“So you’re not going to tell me?” asked Pinky

“Actually, I just did” said Cranky “His name is some pony not you”

“Some pony not me?” asked Pinky “Of course, he is some pony not me”

“No not ‘not me’, not you” said Cranky

“Oh, that’s a quadruple negative!” said Pinky

This conversation would have continue if not for the interruption of a zebra

“The sky looks like rain, since we are all going to the train” said Zecora

“Are you going on a trip?” asked Pinky

“No I am going to my uncle Knot to meet” responded Zecora “When he comes to visit it is always a treat”

“Oh I like sweet treats and caramel treats and chocolate treats” said Pinky “but what is a not your uncle treat?”

“Uncle he is not” said Zecora “so I call him uncle Knot”

“As in some pony not you” said Cranky

“Of course, silly, he is not me” said Pinky “I’m me, at least for the moment I’m me”

“So Zecora’s uncle Knot is also some pony not you?” asked Matilda

“Uncle Knot has many names” said Zecora “and also a brown and tan mane”

Upon arriving at the station, Pinky looked down the track toward Canterlot. Seeing nothing she turned her head the other direction, as the others had already done and saw the approaching train. It’s engine hissed steam as it came into the station and lined up with the platform. It was smaller the Pinky expected, consisting of an engine, a wood car for fuel, two coaches and a freight car.

The front of the engine has a double ‘E’ symbol as well as matching smaller copies of the symbol on the coaches. Pinky was excited at the prospect of meeting a new pony, but Zecora also appeared excited.

Zecora waited until the train stopped and then rushed inside the 1st Carriage. Cranky and Matilda looked over at Pinky and she returned the stare. All were wondering if they should board the carriage after Zecora and Pinky was about to chase Zecora, when the engineer in his cap, climbed down from the engine onto the platform. Cranky approached the smut covered engineer and exchanged a bro hoof.

“Well meet Cranky” said Uncle Knot

“Well meet Some Pony Not You” said Cranky

Zecora came out of the 2nd carriage and exclaimed loudly “My uncle is not on the train”

“Then you must be insane” said Uncle Knot jokingly

“Uncle Knot, Uncle Knot, Uncle Knot” exclaimed Zecora as she ran back

“Yeah, its me, glad to see you a lot” said Uncle Knot. Zecora leaped at Uncle Knot and he caught her with a big hug. Big in that Uncle Knot is really big - bigger that even Big Mac or Celestia.

“So how is my favorite niece?” asked Uncle Knot

“Were you tending the engine fire?” asked Zecora “and did you buy it, rent, or lease?”

“I ran the engine cause the crew had some errand dire” answered Uncle Knot

“Excuse me” said Cranky “do you two always talk that way?”

“Of course they do” said Matilda

“They do?” asked Pinky

“Yes, we do” said Uncle Knot “some while back when Zecora was just a little foal, I taught her to speak in rhythm least she talk my ears off”

“But you’re not speaking in rhythm to us” observed Pinky

“Not unless you want me too” said Uncle Knot “and who are you?”

“Me, I’m Pinky Pie”

“Oh, how convenient” said Uncle Knot “I want to arrange a party”
