Nightlight, a gifted wielder of spirit magic, must fight to end the tyranny that the release of the shadow king has created. The path before her is steep and treacherous, but she doesn't have to travel it alone. With the help of her best friend, a sorrowful spirit, a vengeful specter, Death, and the remains of the Equestrian army, she might even stand a chance. Before she is ready to lead an army however, she must first learn to take control of herself.
