I sigh in relief as the school bell rings telling us its time to pack up and get lost,standing up I do a short stretch before collecting my things and walking to my backpack. Throwing everything in I close my bag and begin to walk out, just as I'm half way out the door I notice Emily was still packing up, I groan loudly and make my eyes roll to the back of my head as I approach her desk.
Sighing I lean on the smooth wooden desk and say "What's taking you? I ask "It's friday its not like we have homework or anything." I hear her groan in annoyance before zipping up her bag and standing up, she rolls her eyes before walking past me and purposely hitting my shoulder with her bag. "Wait up!" I say as I jog outside after her, I walk by her side passing by other kids who constantly say "hey Bryan!" or "was'up?" My light grey eyes shift to the side as I see a girl from my class say "hey Bryan." in the most soothing voice she could I smile then wave at her saying "hey." for some reason she blushed madly then began to bite her hair of course I didn't really care for what that meant so I walked on. As we exit the school I watch Emily mess with her dark brown hazel colored hair out of boredom before sighing,our shoes make a constant clapping noise on the hard pavement as we walk.
looking around I see the same worn out buildings that had multiple cracks and peeled paint some even had broken windows "Happy we don't live over here" I mumble quietly before stopping at the crossing way. I watch the different colored and designed cars zip past us as the light turns green,looking up at the light it suddenly turns yellow I watch as two cars make it through before it turns red.
Emily walks out first I follow behind putting my hands in my dress pants pockets before I sigh feeling the breeze go through my short light brown hazel hair, we walk onto a nice looking neighborhood after fifteen minutes of walking. It was one of those neighborhoods that had a dead end so it was a bit safer for kids to play in the streets,My orbs shift to a yellow painted house with a chocolate brown roof and a bright crimson red door.Speeding up I walk towards it seeing that our mom's SUV was parked in the driveway Emily follows close behind, rubbing a light hand over my head I brush back my silky hair only to have it bound back up again biting my lip I walk inside. I see the same living room with dark brown plush couches and a beautiful (daily polished) wooden table with small swirling designs on the legs and a medium sized SONY T.V. I set my backpack down next to the door Emily does the same,walking towards the kitchen I see mom cooking something on the stove without even looking at me she says "Hi honey how was your day?" automatically I say "fine." before I peck her cheek and walk to my bedroom.
My bedroom was pretty simple a few drawers,a t.v. and a bed (which of course I have to share with Emily because mom doesn't think we should have our own beds yet...) But other than that one fact I loved my room, sighing I jump onto the bed feeling its softness surround me, within a few minutes later Emily comes in as well still in her skirt and blouse from school sighing she sits next to my torso before laying back onto my stomach.
I didn't mind much we always did this when we were bored smirking I say "hey Emily bring the laptop maybe we could play some fireboy and watergirl." she chuckles lightly before saying "alright." and with that she left, when Emily got back I could see she had got it started already which is awesome because I didn't want to go through the process of having it turn on, then put in the password, then wait for it to load, then click on the icon,t hen wait for that to load, and then type it in then wait for that to load up as well. We played at least two games of fireboy and watergirl before mom called us down for dinner, I mostly stabbed at my food not feeling all to hungry but eventually I ate it all, as I put my plate in the sink I could hear mom say "Bed time in 15 minutes!" that was enough time to get dressed and play on the laptop, so hurrily I put up the dishes and run up stairs taking a long tee-shirt and some pajama pants I strip my school clothes off of me showing my stocky yet lean firm physique and put the pj's on, sighing I jump on the bed and inch the laptop closer to me I could feel the smooth plastic keys under my fingertips as I type.
Soon Emily comes skipping in her once flowing curly hair now in a tight pony-tail held together by a fuchsia pink bow tie which I thought complemented how she looked.
Jumping on the bed next to me again I could hear her sigh I ignore it though and continue to type something in, just as I was about to press enter a large add popped up in the middle of the screen I squint my eyes as I looked at it and read aloud these words "Have you ever wanted to go to Ponyville? Well now you can just sign up here." "what type of stupid question?" I mumble as I get ready to exit out the pop up but before I could Emily clicks on YES, I give her a hard stare but she was completely oblivious to it, as I look at the screen again I see something that looked like a sign up sheet sighing I look at the first question. "How many person(s) are playing this?"
groaning I type in "2", next question, "which character would you be out of the mane six?" I barely knew half the characters on the show so I asked Emily if she could choose for me since she clearly knew a bit more about the show smiling she typed in Applejack and Twilight. Last question "what are you name(s) and gender?" Personally I thought that was a bit more information then needed but I typed in both of our names and picked the genders. Scrolling down I see where it says 'ENTER' pressing it I watch it buffer and load then after a few minutes of waiting it says "Thank you for taking this quiz you have been accepted have a nice day."
And that was it I had no idea what just happened but before I could say anything else mom switched off out light and said "Time for bed you two." both of us groan as I shut down the laptop and put it back into the carrier bag then I jump into bed behind Emily, I sigh looking at the off- white ceiling then close my eyes and say "Night Emily." who mumbles "Night." in return...
I wake up to the feeling of damp grass on my coat... WAIT! grass... coat? "I don't have any of those!' I think to myself as my eyes pop open,I looked around expecting to see the dull yellow walls of my room but instead see the bright morning sky. "What in the world?" I mumble as I sit up, I rub my eyes with my hands...No not hands... instead of my light tan colored hands,two scarlet red hooves rub my face. My eyes widen a bit as I extend my hooves and examine them...Yep they were hooves no kidding. "Ahh!" I yell as I spring up into the air, I close my eyes waiting to feel my face get smothered in dirt but nothing happens .Hesitantly I peek to see what happened and to my surprise I was floating in mid-air,or so I thought when in actuallity I was flapping my wings in a furious rhythm. I look at my wings as I hover and bite my lower lip chewing off some of the skin,then quickly I clamp them back onto my sides and land on my hooves as I hit the ground.
Inhaling deeply,I look around and spot a silvery white unicorn mare,with a long mane that was placed neatly in a pony-tail with a pink bow. "Emily?!" I say loudly making her wake up from her once peaceful slumber. "Wha-what?" she says rubbing her eyes as she sat up on her haunches. As she stops she looks at me with a puzzled expression before suddenly yelling, which caused me to yell. "Why are you yelling?!" I say as i stop yelling,"Because your a pony!" she says her eyes going wide, "So are you if you haven't noticed." I say " How did this happen anyways?" And as if the universe answered me, a yellowish brown scroll tied with a silky red ribbon pops up out of a green mist and falls at my hooves. "Um...Okay?..." I say a bit awkwardly, before slumping onto my haunches. Fiddling with the tie I finally pull it off using my teeth, rolling it out I read it.
"Hello, young ponies...Or should I say humans, You have been transported to Equestria because you have
completed the survey last night. You shall be staying here for a week but if you would like to extend that stay then come visit me at the castle. If you are confused then don't be, but I would recommend you get some jobs while your staying.

"Well that answers alot." Emily says from behind me, I nearly jump up at her voice and turn around seeing her. I growl lowly at her then say "When did you get here?" she shrugs then says "I walked." I continue to look at her and study her new body (not in a perverted way.) She had a sleek lean physique, and was a bit taller than the average pony, her eyes were a light violet color with hints of cyan.Her mane was long and had curled bangs that covered most of her left eye, its coloring made it look like a rainbow... kinda. it was colored with topaz, a very light almost dull crimson red, and a creamy orange. And last but not least her cutie mark was a light orange skittle, with the colors of her mane making a rainbow behind it, and a few sparkles.
"Why are you looking at me?" she says cocking her head to the side," What?" I say shaking my head to regain my senses. 'mmm...nothing" she says waving a dismissive hoof and rolling her eyes.
I sigh lightly and stand up on all four, it actually wasn't that bad to master walking correctly as I thought.
"Soooo...." I say pawing at the soft almost muddy dirt under me, 'I think we should get some jobs." Emily says "Like.now."
'Right now?" I ask raising an eyebrow "Yeah right now." she says rolling her eyes,"alright." I say "But where's ponyville?"
As if to answer me Emily walks to the right of me and points forward, walking to her I see the ponyville train station."Oh." I say as my face burns with embarrassment, she chuckles lightly before walking down hill I follow in close pursuit. "Gah!" I say as I trip on a large rock and somersault the rest of the way.
*thunk* I stop rolling as hit the train that just arrived, I wince feeling a large bump form on the back of my head. Grunting I stand up and see Emily sliding down the hill then running to my aid, "You okay?" she says partially out of breath.
I nod placing a gentle hoof on the back of my head and rubbing the sore spot, "well... you always were the clutz so I'm not surprised that happened." Emily says snickering, I roll my eyes then say in a annoying mocking voice "You always were the clutz and blah blah blah blah blah!" Emily only snears and rolls her eyes before trotting past me and walking onto the station's platform. inhaling slowly I exhale quickly in a sigh then canter after her. Catching up quickly we both walk out of the train station and into town, then the both of us stop to discuss what jobs we should get.
Emily's P.O.V.
"Alright I can go find a house." I start "And then see if they'll let us pay a few days later." I watch as Bryan shifts around uneasily at what I said, then finally with a defeated sigh he says "Alright you do that but then after find a job okay?"
I nod my head, my mane jumps up and down at my motions.
"But what jobs should we get?" I ask, "Um I could go to Applejack and probably get a job there." He says "And you like to bake and stuff... so you could go to sugarcube corner."
I shrug then say "Alright.", "So we're all set right?" Bryan says as he turns in the direction of Sweet Apple acres. "Yep." I say, then at that we both walk off.
2 HOURS AFTER FINDING A HOUSE LATER...
I groan as I walk into the crowded Sugarcube corner, almost all of the seats in the bakery were taken, and a ridicuously long line of ponies were waiting for their orders.
After a few minutes of shoving past the horde of ponies I make my way to the counter, and see a very stressed Mr.Cake handing out orders by the second. Stress sweat drips from his forehead, his eyes shift from side to side in a frantic order, and he struggled to keep a warm smile on his face as I approached him..
"Um H-hello Ma'am...um you'll have to wait back there for your order." Mr.Cake says with a very nervous smile.
"Mmm... I'm not here to order... I just wanna ask you something." I say brushing my mane out of my eye and watch as he grabs a freshly baked warm blue berry muffin, the smell fills my nostrils and I try not to salivate.
"There ya go." he says giving the muffin to a grey pegasus mare with a yellow mane who I recall as Ditzy Doo, 'So what's the question? Mr.cake asks, as he trots to a platter filled with cupcakes and picks up a vanilla cupcake with strawberry and raspberry icing swirled together and places it neatly on a tray next to three others, before handing it to a light orange mare.
"Uh...well it seems like you have a lot of customers so I wanted to ask if I could...relieve you...", "Relieve me?" he repeats raising an eyebrow."Yes, you seem like a very stressed man..." "Erm- stallion." I correct myself then give him a half smile.
He trots towards me then says "Sorry but I'm already married." Married? I think to myself, what does that have to do with- oh... My eyes almost bust out of my sockets as I become extremely flustered. I press my ears to the back off my head as I say "Th-tha-that's not at ALL what I meant!" I say my face becoming hotter, I try to hide it but it was completely visible due to my white coat.
"Oh" He says becoming slightly flustered "Sorry." Facehoofing I say "What I meant was do you need any extra assistance because it seems like your being over-run." I gesture over to the crowd of ponies who were becoming impatient from waiting.
"Well it has been hard lately, since my wife Mrs.Cake is taking care of pumpkin and Pound cake and Pinkie Pie is always out with her friends doing whatever so I guess I'm usually the only one here." He says with a short sigh, a sympathetic frown forms on my face, quickly I lift my upper body up and place my forehooves on the counter.
"Well I could help you with that problem, I could say I'm an exceptional baker but I believe I'm a bit better than that." I say as I turn onto my back still leaning on the counter and wrap a gentle hoof around his neck bringing him closer, "um..well that would be nice bu-" I cut him sort though as I tighten my grip bringing him closer to my chest, I could feel his mane brush against my fur as I whisper in his ear "please?"
I could hear him sigh as I remove my hoof from his neck and jump off the counter, "Fine I'll let you work here." He says, "But its only temporary okay?" I nod my head telling him that I understood "Good you can start baking a new batch of muffins were kinda running low."
"Mmkay." I say with a half smile, just as I get past the counter and near the kitchen door Mr.Cake asks "By the way whats your name?" Oh crap I didn't even think of a name... I think to myself I turn around to face him and give him a wide sheepish smile, "M-my name?" I stutter out, "Yes i'll have to call you by something." Mr.cake says waving a hoof.
My brain wracked as I tried to think of a name, "Um its..." I grit my teeth as my mind raced and then I thought back to my cutie mark. Usually ponies names are based on their cutie marks...Or so I'm guessing so quickly I say "My name is... Blazing Skittle." Oh worst name ever! I curse in my mind, "Well Blaze...Um do you mind if I call you blaze? just for short." Mr.cake asks, I only shrug. "Okay then blaze, you'll be being paid five bits per hour and maybe you could get extra bits if you babysit... If that's alright with you." I nod then say "Sounds like a plan." Mr.cake smiles then says "Alright then you should start baking now." before trotting off and arguing with a sky blue stallion trying to jump over the counter.
I groan flattening my ears as I walk into the kitchen before letting out a tired sigh, my eyes shift to a white apron that had in dark red 'KISS THE COOK!' I let out a long sigh as I try to levitate it towards me.
My horn sparks up as I begin to activate it, levitating things was actually pretty simple you just had to concentrate on your target. A light orange aurora covers the apron and levitates it towards me, tying it on I sigh as I levitate a few simple ingredients towards me and begin to work.
I inhale deeply smelling the fresh new batch of banana nut muffins I sigh happily at my work and place all ten of them neatly on a tray before levitating it in front of me and bringing them out to Mr.cake who was less stressed than before.
Placing the tray down on the counter I place the muffins onto a platter near some other various types of muffins, flicking my ears I turn my head and look out of one of the windows seeing it was getting later the sky was darkening and less ponies were walking around.
"I only made a few batches and its this late already?" I mumble shaking my head. I sigh brushing my mane out of the way with my hoof, I perk my ears as I hear Mr.cake say something to me turning my head I say "Sorry didn't quiet catch that." he sighs then says " I said its almost time to get going so you should start wrapping up." I nod then walk into the kitchen my eyes shift to four apple fritters that I baked like fifteen minutes ago, "Hmm. guess I forgot to put you guys up...Oh well." I say as I place them into a napkin.
Cleaning up flour and egg shells I sigh in relief as I finish, walking out I notice Bryan was standing there he looked worn out, he was sweating uncontrollably and his eyes drooped. "Yellow." I say to him raising an eyebrow he looks at me then says "you ready to go?" I nod 'Not yet." I say as I walk out from behind the counter and next to him, I gesture towards one of the booths only to have him sigh and hover lazily towards it.
Sitting next to him I place the semi-warm fritters on the table then say "So how'd it go with Aj?" He only shrugs brushing back his fiery mess of a mane "It went fine I got a job and she's payin' me ten bits an hour since I asked if I could do extra work." Bryan says closing his eyes for a short period of time before opening them again.
"What's then extra work?" I ask as I levitate one of the fritters and pop it into my mouth, he sighs then says "Babysitting the cutie mark crusaiders." I only shrug then say "Well... Its better than nothing." Bryan only rolls his eyes then says "So... what's your new pony name?" "Blazing skittle." I say with a short sigh "And whats yours?" I say perking my ears at him he closes his eyes then says "Flaming hedge." 'Nice..." I say in a sarcastic voice but he doesn't seem to notice.
"Hey open your mouth." I say levitating one of the fritters, he opens his eyes and looks at me then at the floating fritter and sighs. He opens his mouth half way making a narrow entrance, I think I used a bit to much force because when I placed it in he gagged on it for a few seconds before swallowing it and gasping for air. He gives me a hard stare "Sorry to much force let me try again." I say with a sheepish smile he only groans in annoyance but lets me try again, this time I place it on the tip of his tongue and he chews it with ease. I sigh and pop the last fritter into my mouth before flicking my ears and craning my neck as Mr.cake says behind me "Here's your bits blaze...oh and who's this gentle stallion your talking to?"
Gentle stallion? Did he just say that? I ask myself, rolling my eyes I swallow the fritter forcing it down my throat with a loud gulp I say "This is my brother... Flaming Hedge." Flame waves a lazy hoof at him before sighing and closing his eyes.
"Well nice to meet you flaming hedge." Mr.cake says handing me the violet colored bit bag, I take it and say a short and simple "Thank you." "Your quiet welcome" Mr.cake says with a soft smile, just as I open my mouth to say something Bryan (A.K.A Flaming Hedge) says "Well nice meeting you and all but my sister and I need to get home." "Don't we?" He whispers in my ear through grit teeth. I look at him and frown before sighing I knew he was tired and so was I so I wasn't about to fight about this with him.
"Well... yes my brother is right we do need to get home we'll be very tired...ponies if we don't get our rest." I say with a small smile, Mr.cake nods in understanding, begrudgingly both Flame and I stand up and make our way to the door.
As I step outside I'm greeted by a cold gust of wind, shivering slightly I walk on flame follows in close pursuit.
Sighing heavily I feel another strong gust of wind blow by my face, walking up to me flame asks " Why do you have that apron on?" "Huh?" I say stopping in mid trot looking down I see the same white apron laying gently on my chest. Untying it I place it on my back letting it rest there looking lifeless only moving as the wind blew past it.
"I guess I should return it." I say with a small groan, flame only looks at me before sighing "I'll be waiting its not like I know where the house is anyways." He says matter a factly
Shrugging lightly I turn around and trot back to Sugarcube corner.
I sigh in relief as I feel the warm air of the bakery touch my freezing body, looking around I see nothing but a empty bakery. I flick my ears as I hear Mr. Cakes voice echo out from the kitchen, walking behind the counter I push the kitchen door open. "Hey Mr.cake I forgot I had this apron still so I wan-" that was all I could say before my brain went numb, lying there was Mr.cake covered in icing, laughing and rolling on the floor like a little colt.
He stops rolling around as he sees me, a bright blush appears on both his and my face. "Is-is this normal?" I ask a bit confused yet amused at my boss's unusual behavior, sighing Mr.cake says " unfortunately...yes." "Would you care to join?" "Nope." I say nonchalantly as I hang the apron back up and back out of the kitchen.
"That was unusual." I say as I trot out the bakery.
"What took you?" Flame asks as we trot to the house, it was a small house very ugly peach color with a brown roof and a balcony. Unlocking the door I say "long story not gonna tell."
Walking inside it was dark except for a lone candle that I lit up, groaning I use my magic to turn on a light switch.
I look around seeing a burgundy colored love seat next to a medium sized puke green couch.
Trotting past all of that I climb up a small set of stairs which took me to the bedroom, ironically there was only one medium sized bed made up neatly with four pillows on each side and a blue cover laying on top of the spring loaded matress.
I moan softly as I jump on it surprised by how soft it was, burying myself under the covers I watch as flame flies in and lays next to me, his back was facing me so with a soft sigh I wrap my fore hooves around his torso pulling him close in a tight embrace.
I could feel him shift around, as I closed my eyes I could feel him hug me back and plant a soft kiss on my head in a brotherly way. "Good night..."
Both of us say in unison before dozing off.
