A dark figure went between the shadows of Ponyville, the shift of metal or the brush of cloth against the ground was the only noise coming from the figure. He ducked under a porch as a few guards walked past, the nighttime emblem on their cloaks as he hid, waiting for them to get out of his sight before he moved further through the streets. He dodged past sofas and quills, his target not too far away as he saw it. Outside of the Sugar Cube Corner, another seven barrel shipment from Sweet Apple Acres sat outside, the inhabitants inside either fast asleep or watching over little ones as he sneaked up closer. He did his best to avoid the light, getting ever so closer to his target. The mud and grime starting to build up near the store should have gave it away, but he could only see those apples, ripe for the taking. His ears twitched, hearing a small snap before a shot of confetti hit his side, knocking him over with an oof. "What in the-" he said, before hearing the whistle blows of guards, along with the lights flicking on in the store. He knew his prize was out of his hooves now, stumbling to get on all fours as he bolted. He didn't dare look back, but the pounding hoof beats told him what he was afraid of. Another sharp snap warned him this time as he dodged to the right, a net springing up from his left as he charged down the alley. Sharp thinking got him over an apple cart, though it did not protect him from a magical blast to his side. He hit the side of a building, landing on all fours as the blast stunned him for a little bit, leaving his ears ringing. This time a sickly blue aura surrounded him, barely deflecting another purple blast as he charged further through the now awaking town. Nighttime and Daytime guards, a mix of silver and gold, tried stopping him; magic nets, wings, and bucking hooves barely missed, though still slowed him down by quite a bit as he avoided the bigger stallions. Shouts could be heard, though the ringing still effected his hearing, leaving them nothing but mumbles as the guards coordinated their attacks. This time he didn't hear the rope go taunt as he tripped, kicking up mud as he tried to stand again to run further. He felt a net fall over his body, heavy with the thick iron near the ends and the rain water, as he growled. He knew he was caught, but he also knew he would make it hell for them to take him as he could tell the guards were circling around. He panted slightly, a blue aura trying to pull off the net as a purple one only made it heavier, pushing him back into the mud. As he struggled, it only got heavier, smothering him, making it harder and harder to breathe till he simply couldn't move anymore. The ringing he was hearing eventually died down, after the net was used to bind him up. "-was rather smart setting up traps for this thief, Thanks again Miss Sparkle for your help." a gruff voice said, the rain soon stopping as a hooded figure came around in front of him. "Don't mention it," Said a more feminine voice behind him, "Though to be honest, Pinkie and Dash helped out too, and Applejack will be more than pleased to hear that we took care of him." A second figure came up to his left, a slight glow coming from under its hood to show a lavender pony as the net moved from around his face. "Now then," she said with a grin, "Lets find out just who he is." It took a short blast to remove the hood, a gasp coming from the figure in front of him as he hissed, baring his fangs before a set of ropes bound his muzzle. Again, he saw the purple unicorn charge up another blast, then felt nothing after the the contact. Chapter 1 When he came to, he was dry, somewhat warm, and resting on a hay mat. He thought for a moment he was at his small home before he noticed the stone walls. A small ring around his gnarled horn tightened when he tried to summon a ball of light as he simply sighed, then decided to look over himself as best he could. He looked over his feathery wings, one of the reasons why he was never accepted in a hive, as he experimentally lifted them. "No broken bones," he said to himself, standing up as he checked over his legs, "And neither are these hurt, holes and all..." He shifted from hoof to hoof, testing each leg for soreness or fatigue. His ears twitched again, taking his sight to a mare walking in before a purple tinted light filled the room, causing him to hiss in pain. "Least you could do is warn a Stallion, Twilight Sparkle!" She simply huffed, "Like I need to be nice to a thief, let alone a creature like you." then she turned "and its Miss Sparkle to you, Changeling." "Alright then Miss Sparkle" He hissed, waiting for her to move before he followed, "Might I ask why I haven't been killed yet? Given the fact I am a creature as you put it, I find that this is highly unnecessary for your kind, given the fact that your kind seems to revel in killing my kind like its some kind of holiday!" Twilight winced at this slightly, letting out a growl of her own "Oh? So we are just supposed to let your kind drain our emotions?" She then turned, staring down the Changeling "Like we're some kind of all-you-can-eat buffet?" Twilight stepped forward, pushing the Changeling back "Let me get one thing strait with you; your kind doesn't deserve to live, your kind is a blight on our world, and if it wasn't for Princess Celestia, you would be nothing more than a green bloodstain on a wall!" This time, he growled slightly, "Oh? Is that it?" He said, stepping forward, "I would be nothing more than a bloodstain?" He nudged her back, snout to snout as his growls increased, "I would like to see you try to make me a bloodstain, Miss Sparkle! Oh, and its Amadeus to you, Miss Sparkle!" Twilight pushed back, her horn glowing before a third voice stopped her "Enough," the voice said calmly as both turned to the new voice, Princess Celestia standing at the doorway, "both of you are acting like a colt and filly," She then smiled "and with how you two were going at it, I truly wasn't sure if you two were going to just kill each-other or do a certain something..." Amadeus and Twilight both blushed deeply, then quietly went along, avoiding eye contact. Celestia merely chuckled, then went along as the two followed behind. They were soon inside the throne room, Amadeus soon stopped near the center as Twilight took her place to the right side of Celestia, Luna on Celestia's left as the element bearers sat in front of the two. "Now then," Celestia said softly "I, along with my sister Princess Luna, call this meeting to order." She then cleared her throat as she righted herself, her sister doing the same as the full group, including the guards, sat up strait. "We are here to discuss the fate of 'Amadeus', caught and charged with seven counts of robbery from Sweet Apple Acres and Sugar-Cube Corner. How do you plea Amadeus?" "Guilty as charged, your highness," Amadeus said, shifting himself as his wings slightly trembled at his sides, "Though I would like to state that I only stole when needed and always returned the barrels, for as much as that counts as a half-changeling." "That is true," Celestia said, before bringing forth a rusted suit of armor. Amadeus shifted slightly as he tried standing up, only to have a spear tell him otherwise before sitting back down, "What I would like to know is just what you were doing wearing a suit of royal guard armor, let alone one of a guard captain, when we caught you that night." Amadeus growled softly "Its my father's suit of armor," He shifted again, feeling a little restless now that the armor wasn't in his possession, "and I would very much like it back, if you would be as so kind." Celestia smiled a bit, before handing the suit off to a guard, "The son of the old guard captain turned thief?" She then smiled a bit "Well, I knew your father, Knight was quite the guard...till he vanished, and if you are his son, he would be very ashamed of you for being the very thing he despised the most." Amadeus shifted again as he watched the armor leave the room, wanting to follow it as he felt a strand of magic tug on his muzzle "Do not fret, little one," Celestia said, "The armor is being refurbished and placed in a spot of honor. Silver Knight was one of the most loyal guards I had, even if he was...strange." Celestia then smiled "But this is neither the time nor place to talk about your father, this is about your fate." It was Luna's turn to speak up, with Celestia nodding to her sister. "We would like to state that there is two options for you," Luna then shifted, lifting a wing, "One is for you to rot in that cell, the other-" She lifted the other wing "-is that you shall do community service, to work off the debt of your theft and better your family name." After she put down her wings, folding them against herself. "Now then, we have brought these six, The element bearers, for the vote." Luna then smiled a bit as she looked at Amadeus, "this is only due to the fact you are a rather special case." It was now Celestia's turn again to speak, speaking loud enough for her voice to be heard, "Now then, those of you who say that Amadeus should be locked away, stand at my side," She then put a wing around Luna's shoulders "Those of you who think he deserves a second chance in the royal employ, please stand next to my sister." It didn't take long before the votes were cast, Twilight standing next to Celestia, while Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy stood next to Luna. "Very well," Celestia said softly, "It is decided then. Under the watchful eye of Twilight Sparkle, Amadeus is to work for Sweet Apple Acres till the debt is settled for the lost product, then for Sugar-cube Corner till the debt is paid for the theft. During which" Celestia said with a coy smile, "Amadeus will be studied by Twilight Sparkle, and will be excused from work only if Twilight allows it." Twilight couldn't understand why the princess was saying such things, but didn't have the chance either to ask, "If at any point Amadeus tries to get out of his duties to either the Apple family, represented by Applejack, or the Cakes, represented by Pinkie Pie, before the Debt to both parties is paid, either he will be forced to work longer or thrown into the dungeon without hope to ever see the light of day again." "Now then," Celestia said softly to Amadeus, "You will start working tomorrow, and after your debts are paid you will be put in the employ of my student, Twilight. For now, you are to follow any commands that these six give you, to a degree." Celestia then stood up strait, taking out a small collar and latching it around Amadeus' neck, "This collar will track you wherever you go, if you try to run, and can only be removed by the royal family. Case dismissed." As the seven ponies left, a disgruntled Changeling being bothered once again by the purple mare, Celestia couldn't help but suppress a giggle, Luna looking at her sister slightly. "You didn't warn them," Luna said, a smile forming on her lips, "Did you?" Celestia merely smiled at the younger Alicorn "I may have forgotten something, though it will make a rather...interesting friendship report..." At this point, the two did their best to suppress foalish giggles, Luna chiding the older Alicorn slightly before the both of them went back to their duties as rulers of the kingdom. Chapter Two: Farm workChapter Two: Farm Work Amadeus yawned softly, stretching in the bed that was 'kindly' supplied to him from Twilight as he adjusted the collar. He didn't remember much of last night, besides fighting with Twilight and purposefully keeping his face muddy, just to make her more angry when she told him to clean up. It was a new day though, and the mud started to feel a little uncomfortable now that it was dry. He stepped out of his room, to a rather disgruntled Twilight Sparkle. He was happy that the mud caked his face, of his blush would be visible now that he saw her without the cloak or anything else on. She was flipping through a book, growling as she tossed it aside before pulling up another one, though the way that the early morning sunlight came off her fur gave it a different hue, and it didn't help that it shaded her body like a piece of art. He snapped out of it when he heard her voice though, "What are you looking at?" Twilight said, bringing him out of his fantasy world and reminding him that she wasn't an angel, "I'm trying to find a book on your kind and you're starting to make me uncomfortable." She then went back to looking "Oh, and don't forget to wash your face, unless your going for dirty hobo." The last part was ignored as he caught a look at something else, his blush increasing as he quickly looked away, heading up the stairs. Amadeus went to the sink, turning the tap on before splashing his face with some water. Her plot, Amadeus thought to himself, I just caught a look at her plot! He submerged his face into the water, splashing it around as he tried to get the next few thoughts out of his mind; one with her in the same position, wiggling those flanks, another where she was under him, taking his shaft and seed, even one where she was upright, feeling him suckle at her clit and folds... Stop it! Amadeus growled at himself, washing the grime from last night off his face as he looked in the mirror She wants you dead, she hates you, she's a bitch! a slut! whore! skank! a mare of the night! The last one didn't help as much as he thought it would now that he was imagining her dressed like one, groaning loudly and submerging his face in the water again. The icy chill did make him calm down a little, then he pulled back and looked at himself. In the Mirror he saw a black furred Pegasus looking back at him, blue eyes with a slight green tint on the whites as he opened his mouth, fangs with slight tartar build up on them as he sighed softly, Even if she didn't want you dead, He thought to himself, It's not like she'd want a thief like you either. He picked at the dark blue mane, trying to get clumps out with his hooves as he then turned and worked on his tail. He then pulled up some water with levitation as he washed it over his carapace, then tried getting some of the yellow off his teeth and fangs, splashing the last of it into the sink as he let it drain. He then stretched, sighed, and headed out. When he stepped out, he heard a gasp, a white unicorn looking at him with a rather shocked look on her face. The mane curled softly, framing her eyes well as he looked on, a little dumbstruck. "Oh my, I didn't know a mud facial would work quite like that..." said Rarity, "I am kidding of course, but you are quite handsome for a...Monster." The dumbstrukeness went to a slight huff. "Gee, thanks," Amadeus said, shaking his head ever so slightly, "and here I thought I was going to make friends, how silly of me." Without another word, he left the confused Rarity and Twilight alone, heading to his new job. Amadeus went through the gates of Sweet Apple Acres, only to be stopped short by a rather large and red Earth Pony. "Ready fer work?" Big Macintosh said, looking down at the smaller Half-Pegasus, "Apples won't buck themselves after-all, and you need to get 'bout twenty baskets worth." Amadeus looked a little shocked, then smiled a bit. "First off, got it boss, secondly, I think your the nicest someone has been to me." Amadeus then sighed a bit, "I am sorry for stealing from you, I was just trying to survive." Big Mac just simply turned around, "First off, don't call me boss, makes me feel old." Before heading off though, Big Mac looked back at Amadeus, "Secondly, Ah don't judge a book by the cover." He then started trotting off, Amadeus following close behind, "As for the stealing, Ah can forgive ya, but its my sis that you're gonna need to say sorry to, she's the one that bucked the apples, not me." He remembered the orange mare, but without all that royal regalia on, he saw her for what she was truly worth. Applejack was sweaty, sure, but the curves of her legs told of a working mare, feeling the solid thunks as her hooves met the trees shake him to the core. Though when she turned to him, he saw that fire, Big Mac stepping to the side as Applejack seemed to make a beeline strait for him. What came next surprised the Half-breed, feeling his leg pump up and down as she shook it "Welcome, even if you are the varmint that's been stealing apples." She said happily, letting Amadeus' hoof go, "It's a pleasure to meet you...and if you ever are hungry again, Ah'm sure we can work out a deal for a few apples." Amadeus was confused, looking at the smiling mare as he frowned slightly. "So..." Amadeus said softly, "I steal from you, yet you treat me like an old friend, what gives?" Applejack merely chuckled, walking back to the trees, "Well, if Ah was to treat any old varmint with hostility when they were just trying to get somethin' to eat, Fluttershy would be mad at me." Applejack then looked back at Amadeus, "By the way, how were the apples?" Amadeus was still a little confused, but then headed towards another tree, getting the rough idea as he hind-kicked at the trunk, "They were good, much better than the ones I had around Manehattan..." He then snorted a bit "Of course, I think I'm learning that quite a few things are better near Ponyville than Manehattan." He avoided the apples slightly, surprised at how well they all fell into the baskets. "Well, we're a small community," Applejack said, going to the next tree as she kicked again, Amadeus doing the same. "Ah mean, its not like we're trying to be better, we all are just trying to be kind to others." Amadeus went silent for a bit, then smacked his forehead "Oh, nearly forgot to say sorry for stealing those apples. If I didn't have to I wouldn't have." He then sighed a bit "Not like anyone would hire someone like me anyways." He heard a soft chuckle, them both now on the fourth tree each as Applejack just smiled softly "Well, we could've used the extra hooves around here, but don't worry too much. As for the baskets, all ya need to do now is load them up and take them to the barn, you're pretty much done." "So...You don't mind the fact that I stole your product?" Amadeus said, soon finding the cart and quickly loading it up for his potential future employer, after all, he did have to show that he was useful; filling it to the brim, hitching the back gate, and hooking himself to it before she could utter any kind of opposition. She was a little surprised by his eagerness, then simply shook her head. "So long as you didn't waste any of the apples," Applejack said, smiling as she headed to the barn, Amadeus tugging the cart along, "I don't see any reason why to hate ya for it." The trip back was lightened by a small conversation, along with a promise from Amadeus to continue working when he wasn't needed by Twilight after his 'punishment' was done. Amadeus was smiling till he saw a Twilight at the barn, letting out a small huff. "Took your time didn't you?" Twilight said, glaring at Amadeus "Doesn't matter, I found the book and your needed back at the library, so finish up and get going." Amadeus chuckled some, then grinned slightly "Oh, of course dear, whatever you say." He smirked some and went to work unloading the baskets as Twilight seemed to tense up. Applejack noticed the look on Amadeus' face, and did her best not to chuckle along. It didn't take long for them to finish up, nor did it take long for Twilight and Amadeus to fight again, arguing back to the library as Applejack and Big Macintosh watched them go. "Ya know sis," Big Mac said, "Their fighting like cats and dogs..." Applejack looked at her brother, then sighed softly as she looked back at the bickering couple, "They remind me of when Rainbow and Ah started out, constant bickering, denying the truth...Ah wounder how long it takes for them to notice." "Twenty bits says a week" "...Thirty says three days." "You're on little sis." Chapter Three: Mistakes?Chapter Three: Mistakes? When they entered the library, Amadeus' smile was gone, Twilight angrily yelling at him "-and I still cannot believe you had the gall to call me that!" "What? dear?" Amadeus said, chuckling some "Well with how you're acting towards me, you're making it look like I'm your Stallionfriend!" Twilight balked at this, growling loudly "Name one time when I acted like that, one!" " 'Took your time, didn't you?' " Amadeus mocked, smirking some " 'Doesn't matter, I found the book and I need you back at the library.' " Twilight rolled her eyes "Oh yeah, so what just happened suddenly makes me your Marefriend," She then shook her head, heading over to a small island in a mess of books, "Well then, Sweetheart, since your such a nice Stallionfriend I expect this all to be cleaned up without question." "Oh now that is low," Amadeus said, then shook his head as he started cleaning up the books. It didn't take long for him to hear small claws along the floor as he said loudly "So, does that mean I'm now Amadeus Sparkle or your Twilight Morrie?" Twilight shuddered, blushing some as she glared at the half-breed, himself only laughing as Spike spoke up "Hey now, if you two are going to start that at least wait till I move out of that room!" Upon hearing this, Twilight started blushing deeply as Amadeus laughed harder, Twilight quickly dumping a load of books onto him. "Clean, Now." He kept chuckling, soon putting away books as he smirked back at her, "In all honesty" Amadeus said, "You're rather cute when your angered...Even more-so when your blushing." as he simply continued to work, he didn't notice the rather flustered Twilight behind him. "You're an idiot." Twilight said softly, then looked to him "So your name is Amadeus Morrie?" "One and only," Amadeus said, smiling as he put the books in place, "My mother gave it to me roughly...oh...Three thousand years ago?" "Three thousand?!" Twilight exclaimed, a little surprised by the age of the pony in front of her, "Your kidding right?" "No, did you not take history?" Amadeus said, looking back at the mare, "Silver Knight was captain of the guard about three thousand years ago, before being captured by Zylphia Morrie, the queen of the long extinct northern Changeling hive." He then smiled a bit, letting out a short flap of his wings, "I am the last of that hive, a natural born." Twilight looked a little confused, "Wait, then how come I have never heard of you before? Let alone Silver Knight?" Amadeus chuckled softly "And yet you've heard of Discord's tyranny? I'll give you a hint, Zylphia moved halfway across this world before Discord came to power, Silver died in a battle against the revolting hive that Zylphia left, and any records during that time was either burned or lost thanks to Discord." He then shelved another few books, "Least that I know of, the only relic I know of is that piece of armor that was stolen from me." "Understandable, I guess..." Twilight said, then looked at him again, "And what do you mean by 'natural born'?" Amadeus sighed, then waved a wing "Jeez, and here I thought you of all ponies, the one who help predict and stop Nightmare Moon, knew at least a little about Changelings..." He then turned and looked at her, putting away more and more of the books, "Now, we'll start with the Drone Caste, these are the workers, the backbone of any hive, some drones, depending on the hive and the ruling Royal, are either mindless cannon fodder or simple minded workers, they take care of the eggs the queen lays and make sure the tunnels are safe and clear of any other creature. "Next is the Guard Caste, while equally minded when it comes to Drones, Guards have thick carapaces along their backs, making an already tough creature tougher. They are the fighting force of any hive, willing to fight and die for their hive if need be. "Next is the Royal Caste, and of course their the brains of the hive. While not as resilient as the Guards nor as stubborn as the Drones, the royals are the ones giving the orders, along with making the hive more robust. As you may know, a royal needs the essence of a male, or female, to make eggs, and depending on gender, the royal either has an ovipositor or the ability to make an egg sack. "Now..." Amadeus cleared his throat softly, "A Natural Born, like me, is when a male Royal and female royal get together and use their more mammal parts to give birth to a foal, rather than lay an egg. It doesn't have to be two Changelings either. For example, Silver Knight was clearly a Pegasus, and my mother was a pure Changeling Royal. After a night of lovemaking and a few months later, something like me comes out. That is a natural born." Twilight didn't really understand all this, until he put a book in front of her, "This should help," Amadeus said, "The Complete Guide to Inter Species Relationships. gives tips on more...psychical love making, from Cristal Ponies to Zebras and everything in-between." Twilight blushed hotly, and Amadeus simply chuckled, ducking into his little room before Twilight could yell at him again, hearing muffled words outside the door. "Spike! Take a-...actually, on second thought, I'll do it myself." Celestia was doing her best to keep from laughing, looking at the parchment as Luna rolled with laughter behind her older sibling. Dear Princess Celestia Amadeus is nothing but a loud mouthed,improperly behaving creature that is honestly starting to fray my nerves to wits end. I would prefer having to deal with Discord, and even then it would be more tolerable than putting up with this over aged colt. Just this evening he called me his Marefriend only because I was needing his help, saying that the way I said it was calling him my Stallionfriend! Also this evening, he handed me a book on mating like I was some Filly, along with giving a somewhat poor description when it came to the act itself, treating me like some idiot! I do not understand why you put him under my care, but I would like to request a change, if just to be able to put a gag in his mouth to shut him up! As for the friendship report, today I learned that sometimes we do have to go a little far for some friends, I would much rather not get into details, though I will say that Rarity did surprise me today with something. Luna said, smirking some as she did her best to suppress a giggle, "We give it a few more days till we 'warn' your student?" Celestia smiled back at her sister, then giggled some "I'd be surprised if they didn't just go at it tomorrow, with how much their already acting like a couple." The two matriarchs continued laughing, loudly enough that a certain god of chaos chuckled along too before teleporting in. "Ah, so the game begins huh?" Discord said, smiling some as he chuckled along, "I heard that the Apple family has already placed bets, care to join in?" Celestia was a little surprised by the spirit of chaos, but smiled none the less as Luna rolled back over onto all four hooves, "Gladly, what will be the wager?" Now it was Discords moment to be confused "Not even going to ask why I was following our new friend?" Celestia simply shook her head before he continued "Very well, if you win, I follow your orders for a week, both you and your sister." He then playfully flew up for a bit, landing on his front as he looked at the sisters, "Now, what do I get if I win?" Celestia thought for a moment, then leaned over to Luna to whisper something in her ear, causing the Lunar Princess to blush then playfully hit the Solar Princess with a wing, "Sister!" Luna said "That is so scandalous! I agree." Discord lifted an eyebrow, but it didn't take long for a grin to come across his face as he looked at the pair, "As in the both of you, together?" Celestia nodded as Discord grinned wider, "Alright, what are we betting on?" Celestia thought for a moment, then smiled some, "Which one makes the first move, Amadeus or Twilight." She then waved a wing "Sister, you agree that Amadeus would be the first to move, right?" Luna nodded as Discord chuckled "Ah, so I get the reserved Librarian," Discord said with a smirk, "How bout we make it a bit more interesting?" "How so?" "We can alter the dreams of the one's we're betting on." "Oh, now your cheating." "Have I ever played fair Tia?" Celestia was quiet for a bit, then grinned, "Very well, but both Luna and I can alter Amadeus' dreams to our heart's content, you are alone on Twilight, unless you can find someone else to join in on the bet before its over." Discord grinned, letting out a paw as Celestia shook it with her hoof "Deal, and I have just the Changeling in mind." Before Celestia could ask an explanation, the Lord of Chaos was gone in a puff of smoke, one that just somehow tasted of blueberries. ---Discord was here, eat it 52--- Chrysalis yawned softly, nuzzling one of her many recently hatched foals as she gave it a little love, a muted blue coming from her snout into the others as she did feel a little tired from the transfer of love, though it did not distract her enough as her ears twitched forward, the mismatched Draconequus looking at the Changeling queen, the little Changeling foal looking at the mismatched creature in surprise. "And what do I owe the pleasure of seeing the Princesses Lapdog?" Chrysalis said, using the hive mind connection to summon a drone to take the little foal, "Before you ask, no, we are not buying any chocolate covered whatever." Discord made a small noise, pretending to be hurt "Oh, dear me, that means my chocolate covered chocolate will never be sold!" Nighttime and Daytime guards, a mix of silver and gold, tried stopping him; magic nets, wings, and bucking hooves barely missed, though still slowed him down by quite a bit as he avoided the bigger stallions. Shouts could be heard, though the ringing still effected his hearing, leaving them nothing but mumbles as the guards coordinated their attacks. This time he didn't hear the rope go taunt as he tripped, kicking up mud as he tried to stand again to run further. He felt a net fall over his body, heavy with the thick iron near the ends and the rain water, as he growled. He knew he was caught, but he also knew he would make it hell for them to take him as he could tell the guards were circling around. He panted slightly, a blue aura trying to pull off the net as a purple one only made it heavier, pushing him back into the mud. As he struggled, it only got heavier, smothering him, making it harder and harder to breathe till he simply couldn't move anymore. The ringing he was hearing eventually died down, after the net was used to bind him up. "-was rather smart setting up traps for this thief, Thanks again Miss Sparkle for your help." a gruff voice said, the rain soon stopping as a hooded figure came around in front of him. "Don't mention it," Said a more feminine voice behind him, "Though to be honest, Pinkie and Dash helped out too, and Applejack will be more than pleased to hear that we took care of him." A second figure came up to his left, a slight glow coming from under its hood to show a lavender pony as the net moved from around his face. "Now then," she said with a grin, "Lets find out just who he is." It took a short blast to remove the hood, a gasp coming from the figure in front of him as he hissed, baring his fangs before a set of ropes bound his muzzle. Again, he saw the purple unicorn charge up another blast, then felt nothing after the the contact. Chapter 1 When he came to, he was dry, somewhat warm, and resting on a hay mat. He thought for a moment he was at his small home before he noticed the stone walls. A small ring around his gnarled horn tightened when he tried to summon a ball of light as he simply sighed, then decided to look over himself as best he could. He looked over his feathery wings, one of the reasons why he was never accepted in a hive, as he experimentally lifted them. "No broken bones," he said to himself, standing up as he checked over his legs, "And neither are these hurt, holes and all..." He shifted from hoof to hoof, testing each leg for soreness or fatigue. His ears twitched again, taking his sight to a mare walking in before a purple tinted light filled the room, causing him to hiss in pain. "Least you could do is warn a Stallion, Twilight Sparkle!" She simply huffed, "Like I need to be nice to a thief, let alone a creature like you." then she turned "and its Miss Sparkle to you, Changeling." "Alright then Miss Sparkle" He hissed, waiting for her to move before he followed, "Might I ask why I haven't been killed yet? Given the fact I am a creature as you put it, I find that this is highly unnecessary for your kind, given the fact that your kind seems to revel in killing my kind like its some kind of holiday!" Twilight winced at this slightly, letting out a growl of her own "Oh? So we are just supposed to let your kind drain our emotions?" She then turned, staring down the Changeling "Like we're some kind of all-you-can-eat buffet?" Twilight stepped forward, pushing the Changeling back "Let me get one thing strait with you; your kind doesn't deserve to live, your kind is a blight on our world, and if it wasn't for Princess Celestia, you would be nothing more than a green bloodstain on a wall!" This time, he growled slightly, "Oh? Is that it?" He said, stepping forward, "I would be nothing more than a bloodstain?" He nudged her back, snout to snout as his growls increased, "I would like to see you try to make me a bloodstain, Miss Sparkle! Oh, and its Amadeus to you, Miss Sparkle!" Twilight pushed back, her horn glowing before a third voice stopped her "Enough," the voice said calmly as both turned to the new voice, Princess Celestia standing at the doorway, "both of you are acting like a colt and filly," She then smiled "and with how you two were going at it, I truly wasn't sure if you two were going to just kill each-other or do a certain something..." Amadeus and Twilight both blushed deeply, then quietly went along, avoiding eye contact. Celestia merely chuckled, then went along as the two followed behind. They were soon inside the throne room, Amadeus soon stopped near the center as Twilight took her place to the right side of Celestia, Luna on Celestia's left as the element bearers sat in front of the two. "Now then," Celestia said softly "I, along with my sister Princess Luna, call this meeting to order." She then cleared her throat as she righted herself, her sister doing the same as the full group, including the guards, sat up strait. "We are here to discuss the fate of 'Amadeus', caught and charged with seven counts of robbery from Sweet Apple Acres and Sugar-Cube Corner. How do you plea Amadeus?" "Guilty as charged, your highness," Amadeus said, shifting himself as his wings slightly trembled at his sides, "Though I would like to state that I only stole when needed and always returned the barrels, for as much as that counts as a half-changeling." "That is true," Celestia said, before bringing forth a rusted suit of armor. Amadeus shifted slightly as he tried standing up, only to have a spear tell him otherwise before sitting back down, "What I would like to know is just what you were doing wearing a suit of royal guard armor, let alone one of a guard captain, when we caught you that night." Amadeus growled softly "Its my father's suit of armor," He shifted again, feeling a little restless now that the armor wasn't in his possession, "and I would very much like it back, if you would be as so kind." Celestia smiled a bit, before handing the suit off to a guard, "The son of the old guard captain turned thief?" She then smiled a bit "Well, I knew your father, Knight was quite the guard...till he vanished, and if you are his son, he would be very ashamed of you for being the very thing he despised the most." Amadeus shifted again as he watched the armor leave the room, wanting to follow it as he felt a strand of magic tug on his muzzle "Do not fret, little one," Celestia said, "The armor is being refurbished and placed in a spot of honor. Silver Knight was one of the most loyal guards I had, even if he was...strange." Celestia then smiled "But this is neither the time nor place to talk about your father, this is about your fate." It was Luna's turn to speak up, with Celestia nodding to her sister. "We would like to state that there is two options for you," Luna then shifted, lifting a wing, "One is for you to rot in that cell, the other-" She lifted the other wing "-is that you shall do community service, to work off the debt of your theft and better your family name." After she put down her wings, folding them against herself. "Now then, we have brought these six, The element bearers, for the vote." Luna then smiled a bit as she looked at Amadeus, "this is only due to the fact you are a rather special case." It was now Celestia's turn again to speak, speaking loud enough for her voice to be heard, "Now then, those of you who say that Amadeus should be locked away, stand at my side," She then put a wing around Luna's shoulders "Those of you who think he deserves a second chance in the royal employ, please stand next to my sister." It didn't take long before the votes were cast, Twilight standing next to Celestia, while Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy stood next to Luna. "Very well," Celestia said softly, "It is decided then. Under the watchful eye of Twilight Sparkle, Amadeus is to work for Sweet Apple Acres till the debt is settled for the lost product, then for Sugar-cube Corner till the debt is paid for the theft. During which" Celestia said with a coy smile, "Amadeus will be studied by Twilight Sparkle, and will be excused from work only if Twilight allows it." Twilight couldn't understand why the princess was saying such things, but didn't have the chance either to ask, "If at any point Amadeus tries to get out of his duties to either the Apple family, represented by Applejack, or the Cakes, represented by Pinkie Pie, before the Debt to both parties is paid, either he will be forced to work longer or thrown into the dungeon without hope to ever see the light of day again." "Now then," Celestia said softly to Amadeus, "You will start working tomorrow, and after your debts are paid you will be put in the employ of my student, Twilight. For now, you are to follow any commands that these six give you, to a degree." Celestia then stood up strait, taking out a small collar and latching it around Amadeus' neck, "This collar will track you wherever you go, if you try to run, and can only be removed by the royal family. Case dismissed." As the seven ponies left, a disgruntled Changeling being bothered once again by the purple mare, Celestia couldn't help but suppress a giggle, Luna looking at her sister slightly. "You didn't warn them," Luna said, a smile forming on her lips, "Did you?" Celestia merely smiled at the younger Alicorn "I may have forgotten something, though it will make a rather...interesting friendship report..." At this point, the two did their best to suppress foalish giggles, Luna chiding the older Alicorn slightly before the both of them went back to their duties as rulers of the kingdom.
Chapter Two: Farm workChapter Two: Farm Work Amadeus yawned softly, stretching in the bed that was 'kindly' supplied to him from Twilight as he adjusted the collar. He didn't remember much of last night, besides fighting with Twilight and purposefully keeping his face muddy, just to make her more angry when she told him to clean up. It was a new day though, and the mud started to feel a little uncomfortable now that it was dry. He stepped out of his room, to a rather disgruntled Twilight Sparkle. He was happy that the mud caked his face, of his blush would be visible now that he saw her without the cloak or anything else on. She was flipping through a book, growling as she tossed it aside before pulling up another one, though the way that the early morning sunlight came off her fur gave it a different hue, and it didn't help that it shaded her body like a piece of art. He snapped out of it when he heard her voice though, "What are you looking at?" Twilight said, bringing him out of his fantasy world and reminding him that she wasn't an angel, "I'm trying to find a book on your kind and you're starting to make me uncomfortable." She then went back to looking "Oh, and don't forget to wash your face, unless your going for dirty hobo." The last part was ignored as he caught a look at something else, his blush increasing as he quickly looked away, heading up the stairs. Amadeus went to the sink, turning the tap on before splashing his face with some water. Her plot, Amadeus thought to himself, I just caught a look at her plot! He submerged his face into the water, splashing it around as he tried to get the next few thoughts out of his mind; one with her in the same position, wiggling those flanks, another where she was under him, taking his shaft and seed, even one where she was upright, feeling him suckle at her clit and folds... Stop it! Amadeus growled at himself, washing the grime from last night off his face as he looked in the mirror She wants you dead, she hates you, she's a bitch! a slut! whore! skank! a mare of the night! The last one didn't help as much as he thought it would now that he was imagining her dressed like one, groaning loudly and submerging his face in the water again. The icy chill did make him calm down a little, then he pulled back and looked at himself. In the Mirror he saw a black furred Pegasus looking back at him, blue eyes with a slight green tint on the whites as he opened his mouth, fangs with slight tartar build up on them as he sighed softly, Even if she didn't want you dead, He thought to himself, It's not like she'd want a thief like you either. He picked at the dark blue mane, trying to get clumps out with his hooves as he then turned and worked on his tail. He then pulled up some water with levitation as he washed it over his carapace, then tried getting some of the yellow off his teeth and fangs, splashing the last of it into the sink as he let it drain. He then stretched, sighed, and headed out. When he stepped out, he heard a gasp, a white unicorn looking at him with a rather shocked look on her face. The mane curled softly, framing her eyes well as he looked on, a little dumbstruck. "Oh my, I didn't know a mud facial would work quite like that..." said Rarity, "I am kidding of course, but you are quite handsome for a...Monster." The dumbstrukeness went to a slight huff. "Gee, thanks," Amadeus said, shaking his head ever so slightly, "and here I thought I was going to make friends, how silly of me." Without another word, he left the confused Rarity and Twilight alone, heading to his new job. Amadeus went through the gates of Sweet Apple Acres, only to be stopped short by a rather large and red Earth Pony. "Ready fer work?" Big Macintosh said, looking down at the smaller Half-Pegasus, "Apples won't buck themselves after-all, and you need to get 'bout twenty baskets worth." Amadeus looked a little shocked, then smiled a bit. "First off, got it boss, secondly, I think your the nicest someone has been to me." Amadeus then sighed a bit, "I am sorry for stealing from you, I was just trying to survive." Big Mac just simply turned around, "First off, don't call me boss, makes me feel old." Before heading off though, Big Mac looked back at Amadeus, "Secondly, Ah don't judge a book by the cover." He then started trotting off, Amadeus following close behind, "As for the stealing, Ah can forgive ya, but its my sis that you're gonna need to say sorry to, she's the one that bucked the apples, not me." He remembered the orange mare, but without all that royal regalia on, he saw her for what she was truly worth. Applejack was sweaty, sure, but the curves of her legs told of a working mare, feeling the solid thunks as her hooves met the trees shake him to the core. Though when she turned to him, he saw that fire, Big Mac stepping to the side as Applejack seemed to make a beeline strait for him. What came next surprised the Half-breed, feeling his leg pump up and down as she shook it "Welcome, even if you are the varmint that's been stealing apples." She said happily, letting Amadeus' hoof go, "It's a pleasure to meet you...and if you ever are hungry again, Ah'm sure we can work out a deal for a few apples." Amadeus was confused, looking at the smiling mare as he frowned slightly. "So..." Amadeus said softly, "I steal from you, yet you treat me like an old friend, what gives?" Applejack merely chuckled, walking back to the trees, "Well, if Ah was to treat any old varmint with hostility when they were just trying to get somethin' to eat, Fluttershy would be mad at me." Applejack then looked back at Amadeus, "By the way, how were the apples?" Amadeus was still a little confused, but then headed towards another tree, getting the rough idea as he hind-kicked at the trunk, "They were good, much better than the ones I had around Manehattan..." He then snorted a bit "Of course, I think I'm learning that quite a few things are better near Ponyville than Manehattan." He avoided the apples slightly, surprised at how well they all fell into the baskets. "Well, we're a small community," Applejack said, going to the next tree as she kicked again, Amadeus doing the same. "Ah mean, its not like we're trying to be better, we all are just trying to be kind to others." Amadeus went silent for a bit, then smacked his forehead "Oh, nearly forgot to say sorry for stealing those apples. If I didn't have to I wouldn't have." He then sighed a bit "Not like anyone would hire someone like me anyways." He heard a soft chuckle, them both now on the fourth tree each as Applejack just smiled softly "Well, we could've used the extra hooves around here, but don't worry too much. As for the baskets, all ya need to do now is load them up and take them to the barn, you're pretty much done." "So...You don't mind the fact that I stole your product?" Amadeus said, soon finding the cart and quickly loading it up for his potential future employer, after all, he did have to show that he was useful; filling it to the brim, hitching the back gate, and hooking himself to it before she could utter any kind of opposition. She was a little surprised by his eagerness, then simply shook her head. "So long as you didn't waste any of the apples," Applejack said, smiling as she headed to the barn, Amadeus tugging the cart along, "I don't see any reason why to hate ya for it." The trip back was lightened by a small conversation, along with a promise from Amadeus to continue working when he wasn't needed by Twilight after his 'punishment' was done. Amadeus was smiling till he saw a Twilight at the barn, letting out a small huff. "Took your time didn't you?" Twilight said, glaring at Amadeus "Doesn't matter, I found the book and your needed back at the library, so finish up and get going." Amadeus chuckled some, then grinned slightly "Oh, of course dear, whatever you say." He smirked some and went to work unloading the baskets as Twilight seemed to tense up. Applejack noticed the look on Amadeus' face, and did her best not to chuckle along. It didn't take long for them to finish up, nor did it take long for Twilight and Amadeus to fight again, arguing back to the library as Applejack and Big Macintosh watched them go. "Ya know sis," Big Mac said, "Their fighting like cats and dogs..." Applejack looked at her brother, then sighed softly as she looked back at the bickering couple, "They remind me of when Rainbow and Ah started out, constant bickering, denying the truth...Ah wounder how long it takes for them to notice." "Twenty bits says a week" "...Thirty says three days." "You're on little sis."

" Amadeus mocked, smirking some " 'Doesn't matter, I found the book and I need you back at the library.' " Twilight rolled her eyes "Oh yeah, so what just happened suddenly makes me your Marefriend," She then shook her head, heading over to a small island in a mess of books, "Well then, Sweetheart, since your such a nice Stallionfriend I expect this all to be cleaned up without question." "Oh now that is low," Amadeus said, then shook his head as he started cleaning up the books. It didn't take long for him to hear small claws along the floor as he said loudly "So, does that mean I'm now Amadeus Sparkle or your Twilight Morrie?" Twilight shuddered, blushing some as she glared at the half-breed, himself only laughing as Spike spoke up "Hey now, if you two are going to start that at least wait till I move out of that room!" Upon hearing this, Twilight started blushing deeply as Amadeus laughed harder, Twilight quickly dumping a load of books onto him. "Clean, Now." He kept chuckling, soon putting away books as he smirked back at her, "In all honesty" Amadeus said, "You're rather cute when your angered...Even more-so when your blushing." as he simply continued to work, he didn't notice the rather flustered Twilight behind him. "You're an idiot." Twilight said softly, then looked to him "So your name is Amadeus Morrie?" "One and only," Amadeus said, smiling as he put the books in place, "My mother gave it to me roughly...oh...Three thousand years ago?" "Three thousand?!" Twilight exclaimed, a little surprised by the age of the pony in front of her, "Your kidding right?" "No, did you not take history?" Amadeus said, looking back at the mare, "Silver Knight was captain of the guard about three thousand years ago, before being captured by Zylphia Morrie, the queen of the long extinct northern Changeling hive." He then smiled a bit, letting out a short flap of his wings, "I am the last of that hive, a natural born." Twilight looked a little confused, "Wait, then how come I have never heard of you before? Let alone Silver Knight?" Amadeus chuckled softly "And yet you've heard of Discord's tyranny? I'll give you a hint, Zylphia moved halfway across this world before Discord came to power, Silver died in a battle against the revolting hive that Zylphia left, and any records during that time was either burned or lost thanks to Discord." He then shelved another few books, "Least that I know of, the only relic I know of is that piece of armor that was stolen from me." "Understandable, I guess..." Twilight said, then looked at him again, "And what do you mean by 'natural born'?" Amadeus sighed, then waved a wing "Jeez, and here I thought you of all ponies, the one who help predict and stop Nightmare Moon, knew at least a little about Changelings..." He then turned and looked at her, putting away more and more of the books, "Now, we'll start with the Drone Caste, these are the workers, the backbone of any hive, some drones, depending on the hive and the ruling Royal, are either mindless cannon fodder or simple minded workers, they take care of the eggs the queen lays and make sure the tunnels are safe and clear of any other creature. "Next is the Guard Caste, while equally minded when it comes to Drones, Guards have thick carapaces along their backs, making an already tough creature tougher. They are the fighting force of any hive, willing to fight and die for their hive if need be. "Next is the Royal Caste, and of course their the brains of the hive. While not as resilient as the Guards nor as stubborn as the Drones, the royals are the ones giving the orders, along with making the hive more robust. As you may know, a royal needs the essence of a male, or female, to make eggs, and depending on gender, the royal either has an ovipositor or the ability to make an egg sack. "Now..." Amadeus cleared his throat softly, "A Natural Born, like me, is when a male Royal and female royal get together and use their more mammal parts to give birth to a foal, rather than lay an egg. It doesn't have to be two Changelings either. For example, Silver Knight was clearly a Pegasus, and my mother was a pure Changeling Royal. After a night of lovemaking and a few months later, something like me comes out. That is a natural born." Twilight didn't really understand all this, until he put a book in front of her, "This should help," Amadeus said, "The Complete Guide to Inter Species Relationships. gives tips on more...psychical love making, from Cristal Ponies to Zebras and everything in-between." Twilight blushed hotly, and Amadeus simply chuckled, ducking into his little room before Twilight could yell at him again, hearing muffled words outside the door. "Spike! Take a-...actually, on second thought, I'll do it myself." Celestia was doing her best to keep from laughing, looking at the parchment as Luna rolled with laughter behind her older sibling. Dear Princess Celestia Amadeus is nothing but a loud mouthed,improperly behaving creature that is honestly starting to fray my nerves to wits end. I would prefer having to deal with Discord, and even then it would be more tolerable than putting up with this over aged colt. Just this evening he called me his Marefriend only because I was needing his help, saying that the way I said it was calling him my Stallionfriend! Also this evening, he handed me a book on mating like I was some Filly, along with giving a somewhat poor description when it came to the act itself, treating me like some idiot! I do not understand why you put him under my care, but I would like to request a change, if just to be able to put a gag in his mouth to shut him up! As for the friendship report, today I learned that sometimes we do have to go a little far for some friends, I would much rather not get into details, though I will say that Rarity did surprise me today with something. The two matriarchs continued laughing, loudly enough that a certain god of chaos chuckled along too before teleporting in. "Ah, so the game begins huh?" Discord said, smiling some as he chuckled along, "I heard that the Apple family has already placed bets, care to join in?" Celestia was a little surprised by the spirit of chaos, but smiled none the less as Luna rolled back over onto all four hooves, "Gladly, what will be the wager?" Now it was Discords moment to be confused "Not even going to ask why I was following our new friend?" Celestia simply shook her head before he continued "Very well, if you win, I follow your orders for a week, both you and your sister." He then playfully flew up for a bit, landing on his front as he looked at the sisters, "Now, what do I get if I win?" Celestia thought for a moment, then leaned over to Luna to whisper something in her ear, causing the Lunar Princess to blush then playfully hit the Solar Princess with a wing, "Sister!" Luna said "That is so scandalous! I agree." Discord lifted an eyebrow, but it didn't take long for a grin to come across his face as he looked at the pair, "As in the both of you, together?" Celestia nodded as Discord grinned wider, "Alright, what are we betting on?" Celestia thought for a moment, then smiled some, "Which one makes the first move, Amadeus or Twilight." She then waved a wing "Sister, you agree that Amadeus would be the first to move, right?" Luna nodded as Discord chuckled "Ah, so I get the reserved Librarian," Discord said with a smirk, "How bout we make it a bit more interesting?" "How so?" "We can alter the dreams of the one's we're betting on." "Oh, now your cheating." "Have I ever played fair Tia?" Celestia was quiet for a bit, then grinned, "Very well, but both Luna and I can alter Amadeus' dreams to our heart's content, you are alone on Twilight, unless you can find someone else to join in on the bet before its over." Discord grinned, letting out a paw as Celestia shook it with her hoof "Deal, and I have just the Changeling in mind." Before Celestia could ask an explanation, the Lord of Chaos was gone in a puff of smoke, one that just somehow tasted of blueberries. ---Discord was here, eat it 52--- Chrysalis yawned softly, nuzzling one of her many recently hatched foals as she gave it a little love, a muted blue coming from her snout into the others as she did feel a little tired from the transfer of love, though it did not distract her enough as her ears twitched forward, the mismatched Draconequus looking at the Changeling queen, the little Changeling foal looking at the mismatched creature in surprise. "And what do I owe the pleasure of seeing the Princesses Lapdog?" Chrysalis said, using the hive mind connection to summon a drone to take the little foal, "Before you ask, no, we are not buying any chocolate covered whatever." Discord made a small noise, pretending to be hurt "Oh, dear me, that means my chocolate covered chocolate will never be sold!" He then chuckled as Chrysalis simply rolled her eyes, "But I digress, that is not why I'm here." Chrysalis waited for a moment, then growled a bit, "Well?" Chrysalis said softly, "Are you going to explain why your here, or are you here to simply annoy me?" Discord smiled wickedly "I'm sure you know a half-royal called Amadeus, right?" Chrysalis' ears perked up, looking at Discord in disbelief before having a talon cover her mouth, "he's currently living with the Element of Magic, Twilight Sparkle, and I may have put a charm spell on the two as a joke." Chrysalis couldn't believe her ears, "Zylphia's son is alive, and you put a charm spell on him and Celestia's Number one Student?! Celestia is going to ki-" "It was her idea" "What?" Discord chuckled at Chrysalis, her jaw dropped and wings flat down, unable to process what she had been told, "You heard me, Princess Celestia herself ordered me to put a charm spell on both Twilight and Amadeus as a way to feed him at first, but then we realized he didn't need love, so now its a bet to see how long they last. Applejack and her brother is betting bits, I can't help but think that the other element bearers will find some way to bet themselves, Twilight excluded of course, as for Celestia, Luna, and I..." Discord smiled some "If they win, I follow their orders without question for a week, and if I win-" Discord's grin soon became much more wider "-I get their virginity, least when it comes to Stallions, everyone knows Celestia enjoys the moon as much as Luna enjoys the sun after-all." Discord then coughed a bit, holding out his lion's paw "And I was just wondering if you would like to take part in the royal deflowering, if we win. I do believe a week taking orders is well worth the chance if we lose." Chrysalis was shocked, stunned at the offer put in front of her. It didn't take a second to figure out her answer, hoof in his paw as she grinned "Deal." Discord laughed some, "Very well! Now then, let me explain just what we will be doing..."

His hooves were covered in a special kind of shoes, covering most of the holes with thin lines of metal as he tried them out, laughing a bit as he smiled. "My own hive?"
