It was a calm and peaceful day in Ponyville, calm but cloudy. The reason for the scattered clouds is because a certain rainbow mane, blue Pegasus was scheduled to clear out the sky that afternoon, but instead of getting ready for work, she thought it would be a good idea to practice up on her flying skills for the Wonderbolt Academy flight test. So, taking her time to get in the right position, she took off towards the sky.
In the act of being cocky, knowing that she’ll pass the test with yet another academy record, she thought she do some tricks well she was practicing. So, she starts performing a few spins, rolls and loops. In her mind, she had the test in the bag. Getting even cocker with her fancy aerial tricks, she thought she end it with a stunning new move, which she never performed ever. She smirked as she gained massive amount of altitude that she could see Canterlot Castle and all of Ponyville.
She inhaled deeply as she closed her eyes and wings and goes into free fall backwards. Her body was in form of a T and holds it for a dramatically long time. After a few minutes, she opened her eyes and wings and rotated her body, only to fly into a flock of ducks. Quacks and feathers were everywhere around the daredevil. She manages to brake free, but didn’t see the tree nearby. She crashed straight into it and falls out below with a hard thud. Seconds passed and she finally came to. She slowly stands up, and checks her surroundings, hoping nopony saw her tumble.
Meanwhile inside Sugarcube Corner, a pink puffy mane pony was planning a party for Pumpkin and Pound Cake, whose birthdays was 4 weeks away. The mare was in her room which was in the second floor. She was on her pink fluffy bed with a clipboard and pen on hoof. She tapped the pen on her bottom lips as she glanced at the sheet of paper.
“Hmm, should I add streamers? Balloons? Defiantly not confetti.”
She looked at her checklist on party planning and things needed for parties. The things she checked off was: Balloons, banner, cake, cupcakes, bottles of milk, a changing station, baby toys such as building blocks, teething toys est. Once she nodded to her list see looked out her window and see that the clouds weren’t gone.
“Hmm, I wonder why Dashie isn’t working today. Maybe she overslept and forgot to set her alarm.” She said to herself. She smiled and starts bouncing on her bed and flies off and lands near Rainbow Dash’s cloud house. She looked up and took in as mush air as she can possibly take in and shouted, “Hey Rainbow Dash! Time to wake up sleepyhead!”
She stood there, looking up at the floating cloud home. There was no answer or any response. Pinkie’s ears dropped as she tapped her lips with her hoof. She then got an idea and pulled out a ridiculous oversized megaphone and aimed it right at the floating house. With the same deep inhale, Pinkie readied herself to call out for Dash.
“RAINBOW DASH! IT’S TME TO WAKE UP!”
Her voice echoed throughout all of Equestria as the area around her trembled and shook like jiggling jelly. The surroundings soon start to settle and return to its normal state, but still no answer. Pinkie Pie pouted, as she began to think of another way. Soon, the sound of several hooves galloping in the grassy field could be heard. Pinkie looked over to the noise and sees it was three of her best friends.
One of them was a lavender alicorn with her wings flapping her she ran. Another was an orange earth pony and the last was a white unicorn. Pinkie jumps to her hooves at the sight of her best friends. “Hi Twilight, hi Applejack, hi Rarity! You came to try to wake Dashie up too?”
The three stopped and looked at one other. The earth mare turned to her. “Uh, no Pinkie.”
“We all came down here to see what that explosive loud boom was.” The alicorn spoke up.
“Oh, that was me. I was trying to get Rainbow Dash so she can clear the sky today.” Pinkie smiled at them. The three had grave looks on her faces. The white one stepped up and spoke. “Uh, Pinkie dear, Rainbow Dash is in the Hospital.”
“She injured herself well practicing some of her moves.” Twilight finished for Rarity. “I thought you heard already.”
Pinkie’s face was in pure shock from the sudden news. “What?! Dashie’s in the hospital and no pony told me about all this?!”
The three mares looked at each other nervously, knowing what Pinkie might do. They all waited for that puffy mane to go flat, but it never did. Instead, Pinkie stood up and smiled. “Oh well, I guess I’ll give Rainbow a little visit.” With that, she started hopping her usual hop back into town. Her three friends smiled and soon followed.
Back inside Pinkie room in Sugarcube Corner, she trotted inside and still held her smile. Her pet alligator Gummy was in his bed then looked up at you as she entered and just blinked.
“Okay, Gummy, I’ll be going over to the hospital. You behave yourself mister.” She glared at the toothless gator as he blinked again. She giggled and leaves the room.
Down inside the Ponyville Hospital ponies were out about and working hard. Medical professional ponies worked with injured and sick ponies. In room 7 was a certain rainbow mane, high flying dare devil Pegasus, Rainbow Dash. She was brought in account on her wing, again. She was in the same pale green colored patient garment and had her right wing bandaged up. She sat in bed with her face inside a Daring Doo book. The title was ‘Daring Doo and the Curse of the Black Pearl’. With a satisfied sigh Rainbow shut the book and places it on top of five other Daring Doo books.
She plopped on her pillow and groaned some. “This sucks, if it wasn’t for that flock of ducks I would have landed that trick perfectly. Now I’m stuck in here again and with nothing to do. I already read all the Daring Doo books like five times over.”
She groans in frustration as she looked around the for once at least something to pass the time. She turned her attention to a lamp, in remembrance that she rapidly turned it on and off countless times. She didn’t feel like doing that again. She continued to scan the room more, and then thought about the ball that she used to play with in her last visit here. She recalls the time she hits the ball at the opposite wall and bounces on the floor then comes back to her. She sort of liked that time, until the ball bounces a bit short off the floor. Dash sighed as she looked up the clock and only 3 minutes had passed by.
Not too long afterwards the door to her room opened and a voice entered. “Rainbow Dash, it’s time for our check-up.”
Dash tilled her head in questioning the voice and her check-up. “Check-up, what check-up?”
The door then swung open fast as a particular pink pony appears in the doorway. Rainbow Dash jumped slightly from door swinging open fast. With one good look, she smiled and quickly recognized her pink pony pal.
“Hey Pinkie Pie, what’s going on here, what you doing here?” She asked with a friendly smile but failed to realize that her friend’s mane and tail weren’t as she remembered.
Pinkie’s mane was flat and draped over her face as it partly cover her left eye as her tail hung low as if it lost all live in it. Pinkie also donned the Ponyville Hospital nurse cap. She then smiled back at Dash, as she looked at her.
“Oh, I just figured since you’re stuck here again, I decided to volunteer on tending to you, myself.”
The last word that came from Pinkie gave Dash the chills slightly, but she still maintains to keep her friendly smile.
“That’s uh great. I could really use your element of laugher to help heal my wing faster.” She chuckled a bit and turned back to her friend.
Pinkie giggled lightly as her smile grew a bit bigger and starting to look uncomforting. Dash’s smile being to shrink down some as starts to feel a bit uneasy seeing her friend having a somewhat creepy smile.
“So uh….what do have plan for me Pinkie?”
“Oh, I’m so glad you asked that Dashie.”
Pinkie then pulls out a blood stained rusty bone saw from behind her back. Rainbow Dash jumps as she sees the medical instrument.
“Whoa, P-Pinkie?! W-what are you doing with that?”
Pinkie didn’t reply as she steps inside the room and closing the door behind her. Her smile now turning into a grin as she slowly approaches the bed ridden rainbow Pegasus.
“Y-you better stop Pinkie, this isn’t funny anymore. If you don’t I’ll….I’ll scream.”
Pinkie again not responding back to Dash as she steps closer and closer to the bed. Dash was sweating bullets and froze in fear as she watched her closest friend come ever so close. Pinkie finally reaches the foot of the bed and starts to climb up on top with the blood drenched bone saw on her hoof. Her grin growing wider as her eyes beginning to dilate some. Dash’s eyes widen in fear seeing Pinkie grin becoming somewhat sinister looking. Soon, Pinkie was eye to eye with Rainbow Dash their noses just mere inches from touching. Pinkie’s eye fully dilated and her grin grew to its max. Pinkie then leaned in towards one of Dash’s ears and opened her mouth and said.
“Don’t worry Dashie, I’ll take real good care of you.”
