Prelude: "Can anyone tell me the name of this weapon?" Professor Marc asked his class, his eyes scanned the room before centering on a very pale red headed teen up in the back row's, he could just see the top's of his wings. "It's a Mark II Mar's pattern Automatic Gauss rifle, sir," The boy said after raising his hand, his red eyes unsettling the professor. "Good job Mr.." he drifted off into a question, his gaze questioning. "Hunter, Max hunter," the boy replied with a grin as he looked at a girl a few seats down, she too was a skyborn but her Wings were a pinkish while max's were a dark reddish color. 'So, this is a classroom, not much really,' he thought, he was cut out of his thoughts by the bell ringing, signifying it was a lesson change. He stood up and walked down to the female Skyborn, "Hi," he said as he walked up to her. "oh, hi," she said with a blush, "my name's Ikaros," she said, her wings wrapped around her like a blanket. "My names Max, Max hunter," he said with a grin, he laughed when she blushed at his grin, "So Ikaros, are you doing anything tonight?" he asked. "I-I'm A-a-actually n-no-not do-doing a-any-anything t-ton-night," she stuttered out, embarrassed. "That's cool, wanna go to the movie's tonight?" he asked with a small smile and a blush. "Sure," she replied with a small smile before walking out the class room, Max just stood there staring at the door before sighing and walking through it. 7 Months later: "Hey Ikaros," Max said as he sat beside his girlfriend, his wing wrapped around her shoulder protectively. "Hey Max, how was weapons practice," she asked as she lean't into him. "it was fine, now how goes the training at the field hospital," he asked  before a Large explosion shook the Space station, Emergency sirens started wailing and students started filing out into the hall, another explosion rocked the station. "Follow me Ikaros," he said as he led her to an armory. when he got to the armory he inputted his code and entered, immediately heading to the armor rack and Equipping a Skyborn Heavy assault suit with Ikaros wearing a Light Combat medic outfit, he then went to the gun rack and selected out a MA5B Gauss Rifle with a scope and a M932 Rail pistol, he grabbed a bag from a closet and stuffed it with ammo, attachments and explosives along with medical supplies, food and water. Ikaros grabbed a Light MP5 SMG that had been upgraded with Rail gun tech and a small M932 Rail pistol, she had a bag filled with armor mods, ammo, medical supplies, communicators and binoculars. "Max, this way," Ikaros said as she led him over to a escape pod waiting for 2 more survivors, before they could make it the pod blew up, "Fuck," Shouted Max as a piece of shrapnel hit his armor and knocked him back. "I heard something," They heard someone shout before the hooves hitting metal reached there ears as a squad of ponies rounded the corner. "Max, incoming," she shouted as she grabbed her gun off the ground and started to fire at the enemies, her gun making little pomfs as each bullet left the barrel. *Bang* *bang* Max's gun rang as his gun fired and kicked into his shoulder, *Thump* a bullet impacted into his helmet, knocking him out as the Nanites in his suit ate the gun and stored it's blueprints into the nanoloather. "You will pay for that," Ikaros screeched as her wings flared and she started to spray and pray from the hip, "Die you bastards," she Shrieked before feeling something her helmet and she was knocked out, her gun being devoured by Nanites. POV Change: Crimson wings was a blood red pegasus mare in her late 30's, her hair was grey with silver streaks. And currently... she was pissed, these two humans had managed to kill 5 ponies in her squad, including her best friend corporal Flash n dash, she turned around when she heard the door open to see her Commander. "Sir, shouldn't you be in the med bay?" she asked her superior as she snapped off a sloppy salute. "At ease Sergeant," he answered as he walked towards a chair, his hooves clopping on the ground with each step, "and as I told the nurse, I'm perfectly fine," he finished as he sat down with a large sigh of relief, "What can you gather on the targets?" "Well, they're young, that's for sure, pretty standard flyer except for difference in weapon's," she said as she started pacing back and forth, "They were larger and more devastating then the previous Mark's," "This is an interesting development," Her commander grunted, "Do go on," "Ahem, okay they are using slightly more advanced armor systems, their guns were devoured by something when they dropped it, this has been happening more and more, almost as it's a countermeasure to keep there tech a secret," she listed off before a guard burst in. "Sir, sergeant, come quick, the prisoners have awoken," the guard said before he ran off, his hooves tapping the ground as he vanished around a corner, Crimson and the commander following him, they passed a few more guards and officers as they jogged. Crimsons thoughts were on what they looked like beneath their masks. "Commander, has anypony ever seen a human with there helmets off," she asked through each breath. "No, no pony has," he answered before they made it to the jail cell, the human male was in one cell and the female was in the opposite to the male. the male was snarling at every pony while the female just sat there dead calm, the room shook as the male leaped at the bars and punched the metal bars, bending them slightly. "Come at me you bastards," the male growled at them as he punched the bar's again. "Quiet prisoner, you will state your name and rank," An interrogator said as he used a spell to punch the male in the face, his only reply was to be knocked out by the female as he was standing in front of her cell while facing the males cell, the female then grabbed the keys from the Pony and hid them in one of her wing feathers. "Name: Max Hunter Rank: Spec ops," he said as he punched the bars. SUCCESS, his fest smashed through the bars before grabbing the collar of a guard and smashing his head into the bars, knocking out the poor pony. 'this is gonna be a long session,' Crimson thought as she looked at the male struggle against a unicorns magic. //-------------------------------------------------------// Weapons, Ships and tools //-------------------------------------------------------// Weapons, Ships and tools Weapons: MA5B Gauss Rifle: This weapon is the standard weapon for all marines in the HRA and uses a large a large magnetic coil inside the barrel to propel the round forward at subsonic speeds, The bullets of this gun tear through flesh and break bone, a single shot to the head leave's nothing. M932 Rail Pistol: This pistol uses the same principle as the MA5B but on a smaller scale Skyborn Heavy assault armor: This armor uses nano fiber weave and a crystal surface to provide lightweight defence while still being able to use one's wings in combat, they have energy shielding and armor plating but not enough to weigh you down, the crystals act as a minor cloaking system. Sierra Class frigate: A special forces Vessel used by 'MAGIC' user's and skyborn, have heavy armor and a medium armament consisting of machine guns, MAC guns, Missiles and torpedoes. houses 500 soldiers, 20 crew and 40 technicians. N9 minor nuke: A small nuclear charge designed to destroy reactors and large groups of enemies. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Meet the team //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Meet the team Location: Planet mersar, Time: 5:25 am Standard human time. Sector: Minos, Sub-sector: Golden wasteland POV: Max Max shivered and shook his wings to remove them of snow that had recently settled in them, the rest of his squad behind him were sitting around a campfire trying to keep warm. "Sarge, why don't you come over and join us," Grey, the teams sniper, said as he noticed Max shiver, "it's really warm here and I'm sure your wings are getting stiff," "Yeah Max, come and join us." Ikaros, the teams Combat Field Medic and Max's Girlfriend, said as she rubbed her hands together trying to get as much warmth into them through the gloves. Max grumbled as he stood up and walked over to the fire, his D45 Assassination Sniper in his hand, his Armor was painted a mixture between snowy and Forest camouflage, his helmet had the telltale light on the side that said he was currently looking through the camera drone that was stationed on a mountain behind them. Max looked at his squad as he had flash backs of when he first met them. FLASHBACK: Playing Video file: 3-0-3 or as designated by owner: "Meeting Grey" Max woke up to a beeping as his alarm clock which was currently playing "Requiem for a dream", He looked over to the source of noise before smashing the top of it which turned it off. "Why can't I get a bloody break and just sleep," He moaned as he sat up, the blanket he was under fell of his chest revealing a Lightly muscled but still muscled body, A scar ran from his left shoulder to his right eye, a result of the torture at the hands of the ponies when he was captured with Ikaros. "Nice scar," A voice rang out as Max jumped and fell off his bed, he got up and looked to his door only to see a boy around the age of 15, the thing that caught his eye's were the grey wings on his back, they were fairly for someone so young but the main thing about them was the cybernetic lines running along them. "Whats with your wings," Max asked before grey chuckled. "They're Implanted with cybernetics, mean't to increase my suits scanners and thermal vision or something, didn't really pay that much attention," the boy replied with a laugh, "Names grey, mind telling me your's? "Sure, it's Max Hunter," "You meant the survivor of the Zero station attack?" "The one and only," "COOOOOOOOOL," FLASH BACK END. "Sir, You kinda blacked out on us there," Ground-side said, his heavy armor making his voice sound even more threatening which was already quite scary considering his huge size. FLASH BACK: Playing video file:  3-1-0 or as designated by owner: Meeting Ground-side Max blocked another punch, sweat dripping off his face, he quickly sidestepped a charge and kicked his opponent in the back which did nothing to this behemoth of a man. "Just give up, you know you can't beat me," the man said, as he kicked Max, "I'm not even breaking a sweat," "I'm fine, and I won't surrender," Max replied with venom in his voice, her quickly dashed forwards, his speed faster then the man expected as he used his wings to dash faster, he dodged a quick kick and knee'd the man in the face before roundhouse kicking him out of the ring. "Good... fight... my names... James... but most... just call me... ground-side." "Cool, I'm Max," FLASH BACK END Max looked at Ikaros, not needing a flashback as it was too painful. "Grey, whats the status on the Designated target?" Max asked as he sat down, his Sniper put down next to him as he started to get an MRE out of his Large backpack. He quickly ate his meal before grabbing his sniper and moving back to his ledge that covered the enemy base, and just in time as a large group of vehicles pulled into the base. "Sir, targets inside," Grey chimed in over the Team COM, "I suggest setting up and using the laser setting," "Roger that, and maybe you could have alerted me earlier," he replied as he deployed the bipod for his rifle and set it down in the snow, he laid down next to it and synced the scope to his helmet CAM. A small square of static appeared in his VISR before being replaced by an image of a window, he quickly panned down to the second floor and started to search for his target, he scanned the windows three times, his frustration mounting before he switched to thermal, the target highlighted in a red diamond on the edge of his screen showing that the target was up a floor. Max quickly panned the scope to the window his target was in where he found his target  on the balcony, he quickly lined up the shot as he, he held his breath waiting for the signal to fire. *BOOOOM* //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 BOOM The rifle kicked back as the Magnetically propelled Bullet was sent flying out of the barrel, ripping ripples into the air as the speed tore through wind and sound before Blowing apart a unicorns head. Max Grabbed a Pocket knife out of his Sleeve pocket and added a notch to a small list of notches on his stock. "This is Special forces sniper Max hunter, Target is down, I repeat the target is down, team is now cleaning up the scientists inside," Max said over the radio. "Copy that, new orders are to clear out the facility and gather all data, HQ out," "Copy that," Max replies with a somber tone as he Pulls back the Bolt to allow another round to be loaded in from the top, He quickly snaps the bolt back before raising his scope up to his eye and searching for another target. He scans the windows for guards before turning to thermal and scouring the hallways inside. as his sight reaches a corner he sees red outlines of Ponies firing at 3 red human outlines, quickly lining up a shot with a large pony totting a HMG and pulls the trigger. [POV change: Ikaros] I was running through the halls as my P23R SMG fires at the Ponies on the end of the hallway. Quickly reaching cover I remove the empty mag before slapping a new one into place with a satisfying click before leaning out and firing at a unicorn using magic to hold up 2 pistols while holding an MG in his hands. *Poof* *Poof* *Poof*, the gun rattles as the bullets leave the gun and tear through the stallion. "Another one's down," I shout before firing at another Pony, this time a pegasus mare who was flying around and shooting us. I quickly duck as a bullet goes over my head and look at what fired at me. I regret that as a huge Behemoth of a Earth pony walks around the corner with a Gatling Gun, before he could fire his explode's as I hear a large bang in the distance, I quickly send a silent thanks to Max before charging at a pony and slashing it in half with an O-katana I found on a previous mission. [Flashback: Ikaros: Planet Haven] I woke up with a start as I felt Max stir beside me, mumbling something about fuck off or something... probably a bad dream, his mumbles quiet down till all i can hear is his light snores. I get up and untangle myself from Max's iron grip before heading to the shower, The door opens with a rusty whine before I step into the bathroom and close the door, the small thud echo's around before I turn on a small radio as I listen to the news. "Sightings of Equestrian forces in the Minos Wasteland continue to rise as more and more transports are spotted travelling around..." I ignore that piece of sound before I remove my shirt and pants, looking in the mirror my red hair is a tangled mess... never will remove that curse of bed hair. I quickly finished undressing before stepping into the shower and turning on the hot water first, I jump back as the scalding water cascades to the ground before it turns into a bearable warm temperature. the water runs down my pale skin and tickles my wings as the crack and pop as I stretch them slightly. the water runs down over my slight c-cup breasts before continuing down my body, my hair sticks to my face, hiding my blue eyes and small pointy nose. I grab a brush and start to brush my wings and hair before shampooing and conditioning them. after I brush my teeth I turn off the water and go to the small towel cupboard and open it. I frown noticing that the only towel left is a small pink one. I put on with a huff before opening the door and heading to the wardrobe, I grab out a pair of Camouflage pants and a brown T-shirt and some underwear. turning around I try to head to the bathroom but I instead trip over the blanket and land on the bed. Blushing at my position. I had landed laying on top of Max with my lips locked against his and my towel off. before I can escape Max wraps his arms around me before hugging me tightly. [POV: Max: same flashback] I wake to the feeling of something against my lips. Opening my eyes I find myself staring up into the blue orbs of eyes that belong to Ikaros before I realize what position we're in. I quickly get up before turning away with a blush as she gets up and walks into the bathroom. A few minutes later Ikaros steps out in her clothing, she still has a small blush but that's fading quickly. (Cliffhanger)
