//-------------------------------------------------------// Crusaders of Harmony: Friendship is Magic -by Bluepaw- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Celestia sat in her bed coughing, and blowing her nose rapidly. Her sister, Luna, walked over to her, as sick as she was. "Sister?" she said sniffing up her nose. "I do not get it! Princess' achoo! Do not get sick." she sneezed ten times, and she saw her sister doing the same. "Luna, we are cursed, and we will die. We were cursed by Tattered Bride, Princess," her nose clogged up, and she was about to die. The doctor quickly ran in at the noise of the beep. "Luna, you're sister, is dead." he said. Luna's tears dropped to the ground, and she passed with her. After the tragedy, the doctor told Princes Twilight about the news. Twilight had been crying for days, but she knew she needed a new princess. She needed a student. //-------------------------------------------------------// Crusaders of Harmony: Part One //-------------------------------------------------------// Crusaders of Harmony: Part One Dinky Doo puts her card into a bottle, and she walks to the place where Princess Twilight is talking. She sits with her friends. "Howdy Dinky," says Apple Bloom, "Where have y'all been?" she asks. Dinky Doo smiles, and she waves at the fillies. "I was just reading." her cutie mark shows four stars. She looks at the princess, and the music plays. A tarp comes up reveling Princess Twilight Sparkle. Dinky's eyes widen, as she looks at the majestic alicorn. “Fillies and Gentlcolts, Princess Twilight Sparkle!” yells a mare from behind. Princess Twilight waves her hoof at the cheering crowd. “Thank you for coming here today. I have important business, and that is getting my very own student!” The crowd screams, and Twilight waves her hoof again. “OK now I will choose my own faithful student, like I was to Princess Celestia. Might we mourn for her and her sister for ages.” She puts her head down in silence. The crowd follows, and she pops back up. “Now I will choose my own filly or colt to be my student!” she digs into the bowl and all the fillies and colts gasp as they hear the name, “Dinky Doo!” she yells. Dinky is struck. She sees her mom’s ears go down as she hears the name. Dinky runs over to her mother. “Oh mommy please don’t be mad.” She says, and she feels her mom’s hoof rub her head. “I’m not mad, I’m proud.” She remembers that Princess Twilight had defeated Nightmare Moon when Dinky was a filly, and she could not remember. She might be able to do the same. Dinky smiles up at her mother and shines forward to her teacher. “Thank you, Princess Twilight.” Twilight nods, and a tear streams down her cheek. “You’re very welcome, ever pony Dinky Doo!” she screams. The crowd screams her name. “Dinky Doo, Dinky Doo!” they yell, and Dinky sees her mother flying clapping her hooves. Months later. “Babs?” yells Dinky from her mom’s little cottage. “Did you find those books for me?” Babs trots to her and nods, “Here they are!” one has a picture of six stone on it. Dinky grabs it, and brings it in. “Hmm, I’ll read this one, thanks.” She says, and Babs leaves. Long ago in the land of Equestria, There was a loving couple, which married, and ruled an empire together. Their love was so powerful that they had defeated Queen Chrysalis Queen of the changelings together. One day, the prince got sick, and died of a terrible fate. The Princess became so reckless and raged, she became an evil witch of darkness, TatteredBride. She destroyed ponyville, Canterlot, and almost all Equestria. Then a pony came, Princess Twilight and her friends. She banished her to a tall tower, which she remains in Canterlot now. The legend says that on the year that Twilight choses a new student, she will break free, and destroy once more! “All the ponies need are the elements of harmony.” Says Dinky Doo as she finishes the story. “Hmm, Elements of Harmony, I know I've heard that before, but where?” she asks herself. She runs back to the library where her and her griffon lives. “Ganache, Ganache where are you!” she yells. She then realizes that the griffon was crushed by the door. “Ugh, can’t you look where you’re going?” he asks. He starts to sweep up the room. “Sorry Ganache, but I need you to send me a letter.” She says. “OK ready.” He says, and he takes out her quill and paper. “Dear Princess Twilight, TatteredBride may return any day now. The legend is true, and she said that when you get a student, she will return. Waiting for your reply, Dinky Doo” Ganache writes down the rest, and he sends the letter. “OK there we go!” he then goes straight back to sweeping. “Thank you Ganache, and now we wait.” she says. Ganache burps up a letter. “Dear Dinky Doo, You are my favorite student, and you know I love you, but you have to stop reading those books! You will be staying in ponyville instead of coming with me to Canterlot as I had said before. I have one assignment for you, and that is, get to know your friends. You haven’t seen them in a long while. Just go out and play. Your teacher, Princess Twilight” They walk outside their cottage, and Ganache is smiling. “Oh c’mon Dinky, you finally get time to be with your friends.” He looks at all her owner’s friends playing ball together or playing with their younger sisters. Babs Seed was playing with her younger sister Berry Pumpkin. Rumble was playing with Chrome Ward. And Scootaloo was playing with Cloud Crackle. Dinky came to join the bunch, and sat with them. “Hi guys.” She looked into the sun accidentally and she hurt her eyes. “Oh hey Dinky, we are playing ball. Wanna join.” Sweetie Belle said, careful enough not to pop the ball. “Sure.” Says Dinky, and she joined the group. They hit the ball ‘round to Apple Bloom them Sweetie Belle, then pop! Dinky Doo, “Oops sorry.” She says, and she tries to use a spell to fix it. “You’re fine! It’s your first time in a while.” Says Sweetie Belle. “I can just learn my new song on my guitar.” She takes out a fine jewel covered guitar case, and starts to play. She sings to the tune, and Dinky just sits and listens. Then they hear the sounds of trumpets from the town hall. “Fillies and Gentlcolts, we would love to say, that today we will witness for the very first time, Princess Twilight raising the sun!” The crowd cheers, but Twilight is afraid. “Tonight, at five thirty eight!” the mares walk into the curtain, and disappear. Ganache burps another letter, and Dinky grabs it quickly. “Dear Dinky Doo, You must come to the festival, no studying. It will be nice, and you will enjoy with your friends. Your teacher Princess Twilight.” Ganache finishes the letter, and reads it again oddly. “Do you know what’s weird? This isn't her handwriting.” He says. “Maybe she had somepony else do it for her.” Says the lavender mare, and she gallops home. The griffon follows swiftly. “OK well what if it’s not a pony we know, like T-TatteredBride!” he yells. Dinky shushes him, and they run home. “It wasn't her Ganache, it couldn't of been!” she yells, “And besides where could she have gotten the magic to send it to us?” Ganache shrugs and he knows he’s wrong. They finally get home, and they turn on the lights. “SURPRISE!!” yells a crowd. Sweetie pops out behind Dinky, “Hi Dinky, we wanted to throw this awesome party, and to let you have awesome fun! Anyway, I hope you like it, because since you were studying so much, you weren't able to have fun. So we threw you this party. It was Scootaloo’s idea though.” She walks off, and Dinky can tell she is excited. She hasn't talked like that since she got her cutie mark. “Ugh Ganache, I’m just going to bed.” She walks upstairs, and sits in her bed. She can’t get to sleep with all the noise. “OK the book says that if the elements of harmony are put together, and there is a spark between them, the sixth element will appear. What if Ganache was right, what if she did send me that letter. . . .” she is interrupted by Ganache jumping in. “Dinky, the festival is going to start now.” He says, and she jumps from her bed. They all come into the town hall, and they saw Scootaloo mad, because Apple Bloom braided her tail. They hear trumpets again, and Mayor Mare calls. “Mares and Gentlcolts, Princess Twilight Sparkle!” The crowd cheers, but when the curtains open, there is no pony there. Sweetie Belle checks inside, but when she comes out, no princess “She’s gone!” she yells. The crowd gasps when purple smoke comes out of the door. “Oh no,” says Dinky Doo, “TatteredBride.” “Did I hear my name? Any pony? Any pony remember me?” she asks, then one pony steps up, Scootaloo. “Where’s Twilight, you fiend!” she yells. “Ah where’s the fun in telling you where she is? You’ll have to catch me first!” she disappears, and the entire crowd gasps again. Dinky then runs outside, in horror. To be continued, //-------------------------------------------------------// Crusaders of Harmony: Part Two //-------------------------------------------------------// Crusaders of Harmony: Part Two Dinky runs inside, and she puts Ganache to bed. “We have to stop TatteredBride!” he exclaims, but then falls back down. “You’re just a baby griffon; you need sleep.” She tucks the griffon in, and then closes the door. She looks for the book that had the Elements of Harmony. Suddenly Scootaloo crashes in. “Hey, how did you know who she was?” she asks. “Are you a spy?” Apple Bloom runs in after her. “OK c’mon, we all know Dinky ain’t no spy,” she stops for a second, and all the ponies come in. “but we do know she knows what’s goin’ on. Don’t ya’ Dink?” She asks, and Dinky Doo frowns. “I do, TatteredBride, the pony today, is going to destroy ponyville.” She says, “Only if I could find that Element. . . .” she is cut off by Scootaloo. “The Elements of Harmony, a Reference Guide” she says. Dinky runs into her, and looks at the book. “How did you find that?” She asks. “It was under E!” she yells. Dinky’s ears go down, and she lifts the book up. She starts to read it, “It says here that when the five elements are put together, they create a spark that creates the sixth element. But where are they? Ah here! They are in, The Everfree Forest!” they walk to it, and chills run up their spines. “Thanks girls, but I think I should go alone now.” “Nope, we’re stickin’ to you like paint on a barn!” says Apple Bloom, and they gallop in. Dinky follows into the dark forest, and they get deeper and deeper in. Dinky starts to get scared. “Hey ya’ know why you can never hear about explorers from the Everfree?” asks Scootaloo. “Because they never come, out!” Then suddenly an avalanche starts. Scootaloo trips and she sprains her wing. She jumps to Dinky, and she tries to fly. She then sees the purple smoke come out. “Scootaloo, I’ll be fine, just go!” yells Dinky, still holding on for her life. Scootaloo gets mad at TatteredBride. She picks up Dinky even though pain runs through her body as she does it. They hit the ground. “Thanks Scoot,” says Dinky, “that was very brave.” Scootaloo winks. “I would never leave my friends, hanging!” The ponies laugh at her joke, and they walk through the forest when they hear a bear roar. “Oh no!” yells Sweetie. Her friends coward back, “Sweetie no!” yells Dinky. Sweetie walks over to the bear. “C’mon, I know that you have that.” The bear puts his paw to her. Sweetie Belle quickly pulls it out. “Sweetie weren’t you scared?” asks Dinky. “Oh girls, When I saw my first animal, I was very scared,” Dinky’s ears go down. “Please tell me she’s not.” “It growled, and was mad, and that made me frown.” “She is.” Says Scootaloo sadly. “I’d hide inside the bushes from what the animals did, but Rarity said that wasn’t the way to deal with things at all! She said ‘Sweetie, you gotta stand up tall, learn to face your fears. You’ll see that they can’t hurt you just kiss, and make them love you. You just have to love them. Show a little love then. C’mon I’m just tryin’. But if that animal is mean, and bites you, and scratches, all you gotta do is, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!” She finishes her song, and the mares all hop to another obstacle. “Wait!” yells Dinky. The road ahead was terribly rocky. “We can fly you over.” Says Rumble. Scootaloo remembers her sprained wing. “I can’t remember my wing?” Rumble nods, “I can accept it.” He says, and he flies each pony over. He then gets to Dinky, and winks at her. “Thanks.” She says as the stallion puts her down. “As I said, I can accept it.”¬¬ Dinky smiles, and they trek on. They reach a broken bridge. “We’ll never get across, and we’ll never be able to get to TatteredBride, and we’ll never. . . .” Apple Bloom shoves her hoof in her friend’s mouth. She puts in her hoof, and pushes it out, breathing heavily. “We can use this rope on the ground! I bet TatteredBride ripped it off, and left it here by accident!” She ties one end of the rope to the broken bridge, and fixes part of it. She then tightropes to the other side. “I got it!” she yells. Suddenly there was a loud screech! A billion fruit bats came after Apple Bloom. She stayed calm, and took out an apple. She throws it down the cliff, and the bats follow. “Is it safe Apple Bloom?” asks Dinky. Apple Bloom tightens the rope. “Yep!” she yells back. The ponies cross the bridge, and Dinky comes to Apple Bloom. “How weren’t you freaking out when the bats attacked?” she asks. Apple Bloom shrugs, “I just had calmness.” she says. Dinky smiles, and they see the castle where the Elements of harmony are. They walk into the castle, and they actually see the elements. “One, two, three, four, wait there are only five.” Says Scootaloo, and Dinky comes to sit next to the stones. “The legend is that when the five elements are put together, they create a spark that creates the sixth element.” Dinky’s magic ¬¬¬¬¬¬starts and she concentrates on the elements. “C’mon yawl, she needs to concentrate.” Says Apple Bloom, and the ponies leave. Dinky’s magic gets bigger and bigger, until she sees a spark. She is shot back, and TatteredBride comes, and teleports the elements away. Dinky jumps onto her, and is put into a different castle. “Dinky!?” yells Apple Bloom. “Where is she?” The ponies gasp, and they see the shining in the other castle. “Girls look!” yells Babs, and they all run to that castle. Dinky and TatteredBride are beginning to fight. Dinky runs towards TatteredBride. TatteredBride runs to her, and then Dinky teleports to the elements. She rubs her aching head. “C’mon just one spark!” then the spark begins when TatteredBride teleports in the middle of them. She laughs and cracks the elements. “What where was the sixth element?” asks Dinky. “You fool!” yells the bride. Then Dinky hears her friends. A spark comes in her eye. “No I’m not a fool, because the elements are right here!” yells Dinky. “Scootaloo, when she helped me even though her wing was sprained shows the element of devotion! Sweetie Belle, when she cared for the poor bear with the thorn shows the element of love! Rumble when he lifted us over the rocks even though he didn’t have help shows acceptance! And Apple Bloom when she was calm when the fruit bats attacked shows calmness!” “But the spark didn’t work, the sixth element didn’t appear!” yells TatteredBride. “Yes it did! A different kind of spark. The feeling that I got when I heard you coming for me.” She says. “The sixth element, it is magic!” the elements shine, and a giant rainbow shoots at TatteredBride. She is sucked in. Dinky saw the sun rise and a shadow come up. The shadow comes into the room. “Princess Twilight!” she yells running to hug her. “You ahev learned that friendship is magic.” She says, “But I hope some pony else has too. Cadence? Sister, please accept my friendship. You have become younger because of that spell you put on yourself.” She stands, and the ponies wait for the other princess to agree. “Oh yes! I missed you, now big sister.” She says crying. “I’ve missed you too.” She says, and her tears are streaming too. Later, in Ponyville, a huge celebration starts. “Dinky Doo! You will now be coming with me to Canterlot.” Dinky’s ears go down, and she looks at her friends. “Anything wrong?” asks her teacher. “Well when I learned about friendship, I was so happy, but now I must leave it.” She says. “Ganache, take a letter. From this day fourth Dinky will be sending me letters about what she learned about friendship.” She yells. The crowd cheers and the friends come together. “Thank you.” Says Dinky. Twilight nods, and she goes with her sister home. Prologue and Epilogue to two. “Twilight,” says Cadence to her little filly that she was foal sitting. “I want to tell you a song. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are grey You never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away.” Years later, when Twilight became princes, Cadence sings, “The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping I dreamt I held you in my arms. When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken. So I hung my head, and I cried. When Cadence was in her castle,  “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are grey You never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away.” When they come back together, “I'll always love you and make you happy if you will only say the same but if you leave me to love another, you'll regret it all one day” Years later, alone in a meadow, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are grey You never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away. Please don’t take my sunshine away."
