Chapters Just Another One O' Those Stereotypical Action Stories
A dark grey mare, a Pegasus, walks down the bland, gravel road. The small, smoothed rocks crunch quietly underneath her hooves, barely making a sound in the dead of night. She suddenly stops, her ears perking up as she lays her eyes upon a slight orange glow coming from a large shrub, similar to that of glowing ember.
“Come on out, Blazing, I know you’re there.” She chuckles, knowing how Blazing Heart likes to sneak up on her.
“I probably should’ve doused my hair with water.” An earth pony stallion with a coat the shade of ashes walks out, his mane and tail glowing with the essence of flames, and his mark depicting his talent with fire. Upon closer inspection he’s quite intimidating, being that he has many scars from battles from previous years.
“Ya think?” The small winged horse rolls her lime green eyes, amused with her best friend’s bad attempt at humor.
He laughs openly, a very heart-warming sound that makes her smile widely.
“Sooo, Stormy D, what do you say to hangin’ out for a bit?” He asks, a juvenile grin on his face.
Stormy dash flips her striking neon blue and chartreuse hair, smiling deviously. “Let’s do this.”
The pair runs off, each trying to trip the other, Stormy succeeding while Blazing struggles to keep up.
--Elsewhere--
Shards of ice jut out of the ground in quite a menacing manner at the center of a clearing deep within the Everfree Forest. A hoof the shade of the coldest of blizzards suddenly breaks through the harsh, frozen ground. Another emerges next to it, followed by the rest of the mare. She has cruel, frosty eyes, and deep teal vines running up her legs. She has a horn, but it is broken, she can’t use her magic. She grins dementedly, and breaks into giggles of lunacy.
”Ready or not, Stormy Dash, here I come for you.”
--On a Path in Everfree--
Stormy stops suddenly, a questioning frown upon her unnaturally flawless face.
“Shouldn’t you be sleeping right now? I mean,” she quizzes Blazing Heart, raising her eyebrow in a perfect arc. “You need sleep, being a captain of Princess Celestia’s Royal Guard has GOT to be exhausting... You need your rest.”
“Pff, who are you, my mother? Besides, nothing beats hanging with my best friend!” The ashen stallion punches Stormy playfully.
Stormy Dash hits him back, accidently knocking him down.
“Hah, so much for captain of the Royal Guard,” she exclaims, laughing with a cheeky grin on her face.
“Ha, ha…” Blazing rolls his eyes in annoyance. “Besides, you have a huge advantage over me.” He gets up, shrugging off the punch like it was nothing.
“So? Don’t you have, like, years of training and stuff. Plus you have the power to control fire, we’re TOTALLY even,” she cried, exasperatedly. With a quick flap of her wings she lifts off the ground, several feet away from the hard gravel.
“Nah, you still got advantages over me, miss vampony,” he said with a sideways smirk on his face.
“Enough chitchat, let’s get going already for cryin’ out loud!”

Stormy Dash licks her lips clean of blood as she watches the thief pass out. Her looks turn to normal as she disguises herself as a pony once again. She cracks her neck, satisfied with herself.
"Did you have to do that in front of me, it's kinda... well, creepy to put it straight. Damn creepy," Blazing complains, looking at her like she's not sane.
"Are you forgetting, I'm not a pony, you know that. Besides, he totally deserved it. He should thank me, he's got enough venom in his system to somewhat heal the bone fractures he has. I know for a fact I broke several of his ribs. He won't remember me takin' a sip of him anyways, that's why I get my food from the source. You ponies are really tasty, ya know that?" She looks at Blazing like he's a snack, yet again her looks turning to an unnatural, powerful and beautiful state, and he flattens his ears in annoyance. She is in his face faster than he can see, and he stares in her face, looking agrivated
"Quit. It. It's not funny, quit acting like you're a big bad monster, you're not. You're still a pony and you know it."
"Do I look like a pony to you? I'm so not. I'm stronger," she picks up a large boulder like it's nothing, "faster," demonstrating this quality as well, she darts from him to a spot 100 yards and back in a mere 3 seconds, "I'm built to kill, accept it, bro." She returns to her usual self, tossing her hair like she did none of the things he witnessed.
"Just stop already, just because you're a vampony doesn't make you a monster. Just look at me." Blazing's mane and tail set fire and a circle of fire surrounds him. Extinguishing himself, he rolls his eyes. "We're a couple of people that others shouldn't mess with, not monsters."
"Nah, you may not be a monster, but vamponies are. You don't get it. There are a lot of things I haven't told you, things you couldn't reason against." She looks at him, using her eyes to challenge him to make her tell him those very things.
"Like what?" He looks at her, clearly accepting the nonverbal challenge.
"Well, I remember back when I first turned. I hadn't had my first meal, and it had been 4 days. The monster I am came forth. I ran into the woods, and there, with my horrible luck, there was a filly there." Blazing Heart was silent so she continued. "She was the first meal I ever had. I couldn't control myself. So you know what happened? I killed her. After that, I was deeply scarred, my mind becoming twisted after months of being isolated, being trapped. Not talking to another soul. Only taking souls. Taking the lives of innocent people, without a second thought. Eventually I killed them out of choice. I nearly killed my mother, after killing my father. Taking a snack from a lowlife thief is child's play to me. Do you even know how old I actually am. I look twenty or so, right? I'm TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR YEARS OLD. I am a monster, Blazing, a bloodthirsty monster, never forget it." She looked at him blankly, expecting a look of horror and shock like so many other former friends she's had have given her. She's had so many try to kill her, the people trying not having a happy ending. Blazing Heart sat on the ground, remaining silent for a moment. He starts laughing, and Stormy Dash rolls her eyes.
"You have a sick sense of humor, y'know that?"

The pair stops to walk, as Blazing Heart gets tired while Stormy Dash never gets very tuckered out. While he takes a chance to breathe, Stormy notices a rustling in the trees.
"Hey, anyone there?" She walks closer, inspecting the bush. A masked dark blue stallion jumps out, pushing her onto her back, holding a knife to her neck.
"Give me all ya' money girlie, or I'll kill ya' and yo friend over there, a'rite?" He glares at Stormy Dash, and waving another knife threateningly towards Blazing Heart.
"Is he... is he joking?" Stormy Dash starts laughing, and Blazing Heart joins in.
"Quit ya laughin' or you'll both be pushing up DAISIES!" The theif presses the knife closer to Stormy's neck, hard enough to draw a bit of blood while using his magic to move the other knife closer to Blazing Heart.
"Hey Blazing, I'll take care of him, you take care of the knives. As for you, good sir," she pauses, smiling twistedly, "I suggest you run."
"Or else what, you'll tell ya mom?" The thief raises his hoof to strike Stormy in the muzzle, but his hoof is stopped by hers. She stands up, bending the steel knife in half, licking her own blood off it.
"...The Hell..."
Blazing Heart grabs the other knife, and it melts to a thin liquid that drips off his hoof, and through the process he's grinning. Stormy Dash quickly kicks the thief, sending him flying several yards away. The thief coughs up blood, unable to speak. She walks up to him, smiling widely, two white gleaming incisors appearing. The thief's eyes widen in fear, processing what he is seeing as her eyes turn from a bright cheery green to a demonic, crimson red, pupils turning to catlike slits.
Everything goes black for the stallion, the last thing he sees before passing out is Stormy Dash pulling away from his neck, mouth stained with dark blood, his own.
