Alicorndom is a curse.

Celestia, Luna and Cadence know this. Twilight does not. It has not yet dawned on the young mare that she will outlast all around her, watching them wither and die.

Yet when an ageless being steps forth into the light, a mystery long hidden will be uncovered.

It will be left in Twilight's hooves to decide what to do with the answers she finds, and when her new tale ends she will find that not only the ponies of Equestria will be at stake, but the very planet under her hooves.
