The Letter
[size=16][/size] It was a beautiful morning in Equestria. Twilight and her friends were enjoying a delicious picnic. While they were eating Spike was running towards them nearly out of breath.
"Twilight, Twilight!" He yelled.
Everypony stopped eating and looked at him.
"Theres...a urgent...letter for you...from your... parents." he panted.
Twilight used her magic to open it up once he burped.
"Dear, Twilight" she began. You would not believe who saw on the Pony Express today..." She drifted off as she read on "(Gasp) James?!"
"Who's James?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"James is my long lost cousin." Twilight explained.
"Ya never told us ya had a cousin." Applejack said.
"Thats because it was personal." Twilight huffed. "Next to Shining Armor James was the only one who I really cared for. He was always there for me. But one day he and his parents were heading home on the Pony Express when there was a crash. James was the only one missing." She started to cry. "Everypony thought he had died. We held a funeral for him." she sniffed. Everything was so different after that, its like I lost all my happiness."
"Well, now that he's back you can you'll regain your happiness!" Pinkie happily exclaimed.
"Yeah, yeah your right Pinkie" Twilight said. "In fact it says here that he's coming to Ponyville."
"Well what are we waiting for!" Rarity exclaimed. "Let's get down to the train station!"
"Yeah!" they all shouted.
As everypony headed toward the train station chatting none of them were as happy as Twilight. She was finally going to see her cousin again after so long, she felt like she in a dream. A dream she definitely didn't want to wake up from.
"This is going to be a geat day!" she thought to herself as they countinued toward the train station.
"WAAAAAAAAIIT!" Pinkie cried out.
Everypony stopped and looked over at her.
"What about the picnic?" she asked.
The train station was very busy. Ponies were boarding and exiting the express. A young pegasus colt exited the Pony Express. He was light gray, his mane and tail were red with two yellow zigzags going across each. His eyes were a purple color similar to Twilight's and he wore a brown fedora.
"Aaaah what a beautiful day" he thought as he breathed in the fresh air.
Today was a new day for James, he was going to be reunited with his family after so many years. He smiled at the thought of being in the welcoming arms of Twilight,, Shining, and the rest of his family.
"James!" a voice yelled.
James was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard that voice. Knowing who's voice it was, he turned around to locate the source only to be tackled by a flurry of purple.
