Twilight bit her lower lip, and screamed into the night. Just a few days ago, Her world had been fine. Sunny, even. Now it was over, and her friends- and family- were dead and beaten to dust by the zombie ponies, that smelled her warm pounding heart this second. Twilight run, her wings helped her soar shakily into the sky. She must find the two princesses!
her heart beat soundly, as she crept across the marble floor, searching for proof her mentor and Luna were still safe and conscious. She knew what a zombie could do- Their bite would either kill you- or turn you into a zombie pony. Trotting quietly she checked the royal bed chambers and found the sun ruler, lying blood splattered on her soft velvet bed. Twilight, was horrified...
"Why? H-how?" she spoke her voice trembling in grief.
A squealing door, made her turn alertly.
"Its just me, Twilight, I bear the same grief. Knowing not only I could have prevented my sisters death....But every subject. I feel horrible you lost your best discovery. Friendship. Looking back on the many days I could have spent with My sister I see I was rather foolish, to waste time on petty needs....When I could have told her good morning, or said I love you every night" Said Luna, who sounded sad and mad with agony too.
Before she could know, she was in Luna's hooves crying her heart out with despair, letting everything she had held back unveil...
"W-W-e have to GO" Cried twilight." I must help you save yourself!"
But luna shook her head, "Twilight you must embark on this journey alone and see what you can do!" Luna spoke motherly, but twilight could see she was reluctant to let her leave.
"Fine dear twilight, I will become your mentor and help you....On one condition. If anything happens to me you must promise to try and stay alive" Luna smiled.
Then twilight surprised herself, by making a PINKIE PROMISE. Fresh tears rolling down her cheeks. They turned to the balcony window watching the horde of demons outside, And both took flight to escape. Twilight, thought she looked pathetic flying next to Luna! The grey clouds and red sky made it hard to see. Ever since the sun princess died....Lets say the sun died into a small ember....Only the moon was intact thanks to Luna.
They found a cave in a sky-bound cloud. Luna reckoned it was the remains of Las Pegasus. Both agreeing to take watch and rest. During the day twilight was watch for the zombies and at night Luna would take guard, walking into Twilight's dream if needed. That first night, Twilight had the same nightmare she had every night since her friends died.
The sun was shining in a meadow of sunflowers, and she and the girls were having a picnic. The small purple teacups, and the cakes and pastries applejack had made. They were laughing, and playing, until the red sky inked over them and the gray clouds moaned- But the zombies closed in, tearing a bite into their backs while twilight ran...and ran...and ran....
"TWILIGHT!"
what? Luna?
Twilight awoke with a snort, and sleepily galloped out of the cave to find herself not face to face with a zombie, but rainbow dash!
"Hey Twi, sorry about being late. You guys moved around a lot and I just managed to escape cloudstale!" She gloomily forced a demented grin- She obviously was missing the others too!
Twilight embraced her friend, and together they all walked out to examine the skies. The red sky, was clouded in thick dust and debris. That moment Luna cast a summoning spell, and three sleeping bags with cushy pillows appeared on the cold cave floor. Settling down to rest, Luna lay under the cover and fell asleep in raspy breaths.
"Twilight?"
"What is it rainbow?"
"I can't sleep."
"I don't blame you! Every moment I hear my heartbeat and wonder if I make it tomorrow...If I die or if I make it again...If Luna Is with us nothing should go wrong." Twilight said.
"Hey um twilight I was wondering...If you could...well...um...." rainbow blushed in the pitch black dark, grateful for the darkness of the night Luna had brought forth minutes ago.
"It must be hard for you. After all, Applejack WAS your Filly-friend." Smiled twilight at all the memories.
"Well...I was wondering if you would be my Filly-friend, and maybe give me something so we can do....something." Said a scarlet rainbow dash.
Twilight, shocked but tempted by this offer, Cast a summoning spell and the key to her happiness grew on her plot. Lying, her hooves in the air far apart, Rainbow dash stood over her, wedging it in it out....slowly...faster....rougher.....Twilight, was moaning as rainbow dash pushed in, and out roughly, and twilight stood upright, rainbow bashing so hard it was making her flank sore. But she didn't care! As long as this great feeling, lasted.
Morning came quickly, and Luna was refreshed, spreading her wings and took a morning flight. Rainbow looked giddy to have a flight, but waited patiently for her turn after twilight. Happily, she locked tongues with her Filly-friend, but soon enough the time was right, to spread her wings and soar into the red.
Twilight, woke in a huff sweating onto her pillow. But this was no nightmare, it was a dream. Rainbow dash was stretching and bending her wings and hooves, getting ready for the next long flight. Luna had decided, moving around would make their scent harder to follow.
"twilight! You okay? You seem a little jumpy this morning." Commented rainbow, who had noticed twilight's wide eyes and pounding heartbeat.
"I'm fine. Just nervous. I never got much practice on flying, that's all" Said twilight, smiling.
Luna's silent wings and ringing voice, announced their departure.
"We'd better go while the coast is clear" she said alertly.
The three ponies took off, and flew through the planes of endless crushed houses and cities. Proving the zombie ponies, proved threat to the threesome. Relaxing her wings, and beating slowly, twilight scoured the red skies for a shelter.
"I found one! Over by the cloud is where saddle Arabia territory begins!" Rainbow dash pointed a hoof, at a large mountain, where clouds circled.
Luna nodded a sign of approval and they lowered themselves onto the rocky earth.
Twilight made a magenta shield, with her magic and Luna started a fire, Rainbow dash setting up their bedtime needs.
"You okay Luna?" asked twilight, her brow furrowed in concern of her favorite princess. She had always loved the night! Where she could study peacefully, the long breathes of spike her dragon assistant- Who sadly had been trampled the day she was attacked.
"Yes, my twilight. I am only thinking of how foolish we were. You see....Those ponies are a mix of both zombies and changelings. With the extra powers of venom and stealth." Sighed Luna.
"Don't worry Luna, we'll be okay!" Twilight rose her chin to show her confidence.
But inside. She felt to crawl into a ball, and hide forever.
