Shouldn’t you be excited that our time is ponyville is up?” he asked on the way to the celebration. “It’s not that dusk” she said “The predictions and prophecies book has me worked up”. She tried to calm herself as they walked into the packed town hall. She wiggled to the front of the crowd, as dusk went backstage to wait for his mother to appear” The curtain opened only to show Dusk dressed in his royal attire, he looked beside himself to see that his mother had not appeared. Instead next to him was a pony of similar size to her. She smiled evilly, and proceeded to tell everypony that she would be taking over as the new ruler of Equestria. Causing dusk to turn toward her his eyes glowing red. “What!” he shouted startling everypony in the room including Nightmare Moon. She stepped back without dropping her smile. “Where is my mother” he asked clenching his teeth. “I don’t know who your mother is little pony” She said stepping away from the enraged colt, who had begun to pull his arm back, she flew backward to avoiding his oncoming punch. “My mother is Celestia, come back here so I can beat you” he said as he shot a blast of magic at the dark alicorn who avoided the blow and flew away in a plume of purple smoke. Dusk attempted to chase after her only to be stopped by Twilight. Together, they walk to the library in search of a book on the elements of harmony, being followed by Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity. Pinkie Pie quickly found the book. Twilight reading from the book announced that the Elements of Harmony are located in the palace of the ancient pony sisters in the Everfree Forest. As they stand at the edge of the Everfree, Dusk and Twilight are told by the other ponies that they aren’t going after the elements alone.  The 7 of them walked into the forest together. Shortly after reaching the Castle, they were surprised to see that the Elements of Harmony were just stones. Dusk picked up two and placed them on the ground with the others. He and Twilight began to pour their magic into the stones until Nightmare Moon appeared and teleported away with them. Dusk jumping into the cloud of magic before disappearing. The girls began to panic as they realized that Twilight was also missing, but then ran towards a flash of light that they saw from another tower. Dusk and Twilight looked around until spotting Nightmare, and began to charge at her. She in return began to charge at them. As they neared closer to each other, Twilight used her magic to teleport to the other side of the room, as Dusk punched her in the face distracting her. She quickly regained her concentration and teleported to the other side of the room where Twilight was unsuccessfully attempting to activate the elements. Nightmare Moon shattered the elements as the other five ponies ran into the room. The 6 girls together managed to power up the elements, and with Dusk holding her in place, focused the magic on Nightmare.  As the light vanished and they all stood up they noticed Dusk and a light blue alicorn. Celestia flies into the room as dusk picks himself up off the ground. She goes over to comfort her sister as the 6 ponies stare at him. “Why are you all staring at me?” he asks. “Your eyes have changed color Dusk” Twilight said, picking up a glass shard with her magic. Dusk looks at his reflection. “Dusk” Celestia says as she walks over to her son “are you okay from being hit by the elements?” “I’m OK mom, my eyes are just rainbow colored now” he said looking away from his reflection. “This calls for a party” shouts Pinkie and as if by magic they are back in Ponyville. “Spike, the pink pony just transported us back here, I think she’s an alicorn in disguise” Dusk said to the purple dragon causing him to laugh. “Twilight, Dusk and Spike are you ready to return to Canterlot” Celestia asked looking down on them. “Sorry, but I think we’ll stay here for a while Mom” Dusk said smiling along with Twilight and Spike. Celestia nodded at her son with a smile. “Spike take a letter please, I princess Celestia hereby decree that Twilight Sparkle and my son Dusk Shine will live here in Ponyville as a way for them to learn about friendship” Princess Celestia and Princess Luna return on their way home as the Ponies celebrate their victory. None of them knowing that something more than Dusk’s eyes had changed. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: ticket problems (re-write) //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter3 ticket problems                                                                            The Son of Celestia                                                                        Chapter 3: Ticket Problems “Thank you both for the help with these apples” Applejack said to Twilight and Dusk as they walk toward the farm’s barn. “Big Mac and I had a bet that you help me win.” She smiled widely. “You’re welcome” Dusk said cocking an eyebrow at the orange farmer “but what was the bet?” Applejack squirmed at the question. “Well” she started “I bet that I could pick all these apples in the barn before supper and that if I won he would have to walk through town in one of granny’s girdles.” She chuckled to herself hoping she had provided enough details. “Well what would you have had to do if you lost?” Dusk asked staring at the squirming mare “If I had lost I would have had to go on a date with you” She whispered the last part not wanting to make him believe that she didn’t want to date him. Which in fact she did but outside of being forced by a bet. Dusk looked at her with a smile and shook his head “Ok then, I think Twilight and Spike are getting hungry” They both agreed by nodding their heads at his statement. Spike then belched a plume of green smoke that formed into a scroll. He began to read. “Hello Twilight and Dusk, as you both know the Grand Galloping Gala is approaching us. In this letter I have enclosed two tickets for you and a friend Twilight. As you know Dusk, you won’t need a ticket. Feel free to bring a date. Your Teacher and Loving Mother Celestia. Twilight and Applejack screamed in excitement as Dusk smiled to himself in halfhearted excitement. He remembered his first gala and meeting Blue Blood, who he later had thrown out because of how stuck up he was acting to everyone including Dusk.  He also remembered meeting Octavia and the wonderbolts and getting knocked out when he asked spitfire to dance. As he shook himself from his memories he noticed that he was alone in the barn and walked outside to see Applejack and Rainbow arm wrestling. “What are you two doing, and where’s Twilight? He asked them. Both mare’s looked at him. “We’re having a contest to see who’s going to get Twilight’s extra ticket” Applejack said. Followed by Rainbow saying “And she said she was going to get something to eat” They both continued wrestling. “Ok then but I have a question. Why not go with me since I can get in without a ticket? My mother did say I could bring a guest.” Dusk inquired causing both girls to blush. He rolled his eyes and walked away. “I’ll see you two around, I’m going to catch up with Twilight and Spike” As he goes to search for Twilight, she runs past him with spike in tow. He runs to catch up with them and they settled themselves at a table in front of a restaurant. Twilight and Spike both ordered something and Dusk ordered water. It started to rain only Dusk noticing as Twilight and Spike were about to eat. The waiter looked at them, “Are you really going to sit in the rain?” he asked. “What are you talking about it hasn’t rained a drop” Twilight said looking around and noticing that it was indeed raining. She looked up and spotted Rainbow Dash holding a hole in the clouds open. “Rainbow Dash, you aren’t trying to bribe me into giving you the extra ticket are you?” Dash chuckled nervously “No, No, not at all. I’m just helping my friends keep dry from the rain, and it just so happens to be you three.” She grinned as she looked down on them. “Well it’s nice to know that you don’t want it bad enough to control the weather over it”. Twilight grinned at the blue Pegasus to show that she couldn’t be bought by it. Dash sighed and closed the clouds as Dusk made an umbrella with his magic. Rain pours on Twilight and Spike as Dusk laughs. “Come on” he said “I’ll cook you both something back at the library and then we can figure out a way for our friends to go to the Gala without me having to bring a date. How many of them want to go.” “All of them” Twilight said. “Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow and Applejack” Dusk nodded at Twilight’s words as they walk into the library. They both sighed as they spotted their friends there. “Everypony sit down now and no one say a word until I get back” Dusk said sternly as he walked into the kitchen. They all sat down at a table. “What got into him all of a sudden” Dash asked. Pinkie Pie shrugged as they all sat in silence. After a short time, Dusk returned placing sandwiches and glasses in front of everyone. Dusk and Twilight started to eat as the other ponies followed. “I believe that I have found the answer to this problem” Dusk announced “Spike please send a letter to my mother asking her for more tickets for our friends” Spike sends the letter and almost immediately belches up a scroll. He reads “You are right son, it wasn’t right of me to play that joke on Twilight. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at the Gala. Your loving Mother Celestia. Twilight handed her extra one top AJ as Spike held up 5 more tickets. She entered yelling for Spike, spotting him on the floor and her male counterpart Dusk Shine sitting in a chair reading. He calmly looks at her as she runs a ladder up to the high bookcase calling for Spike. “Spike, have you seen the book on Predictions and Prophecies” “I was reading it for fun” Dusk told her “do you need it for something, Spike is on his way to a party for somepony” Twilight sighed “Spike you know we don’t have time for things like that” “Let him live a little Twilight” Dusk said, trying to get her to ease up a little on Spike “Well I’m sorry but I need him to help me. Spike take a letter. Dear Princess, I your faithful student wish to inform you that Nightmare Moon will be freed this year at the Summer Sun Celebration. I await your swift response. Signed Twilight Sparkle” she finished “Twilight” Dusk said in a matter of fact tone “don’t hold your breath, my mother is busy preparing for the celebration” “Oh, I’m not worried Dusk, I know your mother trusts me completely. She has never once questioned me in all the years of being my teacher.” She said At that moment Spike belched out an official scroll and began to read. “My dearest student Twilight. You know I trust you completely” Twilight smirked. “But” he continued “you must stop reading those dusty old books. I’m sending you and Dusk to Ponyville to check on the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. You both need to make some friends, and in Ponyville I want you guys to do just that.” “See I told you. WAIT WHY DO I HAVE TO GO!” Dusk yelled “How many friends does she think I need?” he pouted after being threatened with being grounded and forced to hang out with Prince Blue Blood for a week whom he despised. Secretly he was thankful to get away from Canterlot for a bit. He turned to Twilight “Let’s talk about this. While we’re in Ponyville let’s try to have some fun and get our job done. Please for the love of Celestia don’t tell anypony who my mother is so I can try to make real friends” he said. Twilight smiled and shook her head. “Ok Dusk” “We’re here” she exclaimed stepping off of the carriage followed by Spike and Dusk Shine. Dusk turned to Spike “Are you OK, keeping that secret Spike?” he asked “As long as you guys try to make some friends like the princess said. The ponies here might have some interesting things to say” he said as a pink pony walked toward them. “Hello” Twilight and Dusk said as she came closer. She smiled and disappeared in a puff of smoke as her feet left the ground. “That was interesting, I think she lost the right to being called an earth pony.” Dusk said as he turned to Spike. “What’s first on the list Spike?” The baby dragon looked down at the list in his hand “Well the food is being prepared by a mare named Applejack, at Sweet Apple Acres” He said rolling the list back up and putting it in his pocket. “Guess that where we’re headed then” Dusk said as they walked toward a farm in the distance. Upon arriving they witnessed a mare in a brown, kicking a tree. They then watched the apples fall into a basket at the roots. They both walked up to the mare as spike followed behind them. “Hello. I’m Twilight, this is Dusk and that’s Spike. Are you Applejack?” she said introducing them to the orange mare. Dusk shook her hoof all the while realizing she had an extremely strong grip. As he checked for broken bones Applejack swiftly introduced them to her family and begged them to stay for brunch. Being persuaded finally by Applebloom’s puppy dog eyes, they decided to stay for brunch. Granny Smith leaned over to Applejack and whispered into her ear “Isn’t he a cute one Applejack” causing her to blush from embarrassment. What are you talking about I just met him” she whisper-screamed into he grandmothers ear. “Granny Smith smiled and replied. “Well you better snatch him up quick, because the other mares in town might fall for him.” Applejack shushed her grandmother as Dusk, Twilight and Spike began to walk off. “Who’s next Spike” Twilight asked “Well there’s supposed to be a pony named Rainbow Dash clearing the skies” he said “She doesn’t seem to be doing a very good job” dusk commented as he is crashed into by a rainbow colored blur. They both roll and land into a puddle of mud, Dusk remaining on the ground while the Rainbow maned blur hovered into the air. “Sorry dude, are you Ok” She asked as she helped him up “I take it that you’re Rainbow Dash” Twilight said after she witnessed the rainbow mare dry Dusk off in a Tornado she called the Rain-Blow Dry. “Yep, that’s me the fastest pony in Equestria” Rainbow smiled wildly. “I don’t think that’s something to be proud of.” Dusk stated laughing as Rainbow blushed darkly. ‘’Shouldn’t you be clearing the skies right now?’’ Twilight asked “Yeah, Yeah, one moment. You think I can’t handle my body. I can ride you until you pass out before I even cum once” Rainbow stated challengingly “I’ll think about giving you a shot if you can clear the sky right now” Dusk said with a smirk. Rainbow took off into the air demolishing the clouds in a few swoops. “There” She said smiling proudly as Dusk, Twilight and Spike started to walk off. “And what’s next Spike?” Dusk asked before being tackled by Rainbow Dash. “Hey we had a deal. I clear the sky and you give me a chance to prove that I can handle my body against you” Dusk smiled “I never said I would give you that chance in public” he said continuing to walk away with Spike and Twilight. Rainbow Dash blushed and flew off to hide on a cloud. “What is next Spike?” Twilight asked as they entered the town hall. “It looks like decorations. Beautiful.” he says, fixating his view on a gorgeous white pony in the middle of the room. “Yes it is Spike” Twilight said with a smile. “I don’t think he was talking about the decorations” Dusk said pointing over to the pony in the center. “How about I take this one” he continued “Come on Spike, I’ll be your wingman if you pick your jaw up off of the floor. “Hello” he started only to be cut off by the white pony. “One moment I am in the zone as it were.” She finished her task and turned to look at him. “Ye…Oh by Celestia what happened to your mane?” “It’s a long story” he said “Would you happen to be Rarity?” “Yes, of course. Please come with me so we can get your mane settled” She said pushing Dusk toward her home/store. Causing Spike and Twilight to have to follow. “Where are you three from, and” looking at Twilight and Dusk “Are you two twins?” “Well technically we are but then we aren’t” she started. “When I was younger I had to hatch Spike from an egg to get into Princess Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns back in Canterlot. While hatching him I accidentally created Dusk. He’s a genetic copy of me, but created instead of born. So Princess Celestia adopted him as her son as she took me in as her personal student. Oops, sorry Dusk” she said after she realized that she had told his secret. Rarity gasped as she finished fashioning his mane into a Blueblood inspired style. He shook his head to change his mane back to normal. “Is it true that you’re a prince?” Rarity asked eagerly. “Yes” he said glaring at Twilight who smile nervously at him “I’m Celestia’s son Dusk Shine.” “We should be going” he continued as he began walking toward the door “We have a busy schedule to follow. I’ll come back to visit some other time.” He walked out pissed at Twilight for telling his secret. “What’s next Spike I want to go home” He asked still in a bad mood. “It looks like the last thing is music and that’s being handled by a pony named Fluttershy.” Spike said optimistically trying to cheer him up. “Dusk I said I’m sorry please stop being mad at me.” Twilight begged as a yellow Pegasus came into their view. “I’m not mad Twilight, just disappointed. I only asked you to do one thing, the last thing I needed was the unnecessary spotlight” “Let me make it up to you. I’ll take this one” She said walking up to the butter yellow mare. “Hi, I’m Twilight. I’ve come to check on the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration.” The yellow mare gasped and hid behind her bright pink mane. “I’m Fluttershy” she mumbled as Dusk moved closer to them. Her eyes glance over to him. “Who are you?” She asked blushing deeply. “I’m Dusk Shine. You must be Fluttershy. That’s a cute name” he said. Causing her to blush more deeply and hide her face further behind her mane. “We will let you get back to work” he continued “Sorry for startling you.” They started to walk toward the library where they would be staying. “She was cute.” Dusk said as they walked into the library. “So you forgive me now?” Twilight asked. “Sure” he smiled and looked around “Why is it so dark in here?” The lights suddenly came on and in a flash Dusk disappeared. A bright pink mare ran over “Where did the cute guy go?” she asked He reappeared. “I’m guessing you’re the reason for the party” he asked “Yep, I’m Pinkie Pie. Ponyville’s very own party pony” she stated excitedly. “Well my friends and I have been running around all day and we would like to get some sleep. Would you mind rescheduling?” Pinkie nods “Okie Dokie Lokie. Attention everypony” she announces to the room full of Ponies. “The party is now off and will be rescheduled for a later time at this location.” She turns back to Dusk and the others. “Ok, you three get some rest. I’ll see you tomorrow Dusky Wusky” she said walking out of the door her tail raising to brush against Dusk’s leg and crotch. “I think I just made a date. Whatever…I’m going to bed see you both in the morning” He said going up to his bedroom. He goes to sleep quickly looking forward to tomorrow.
