Twilight's Sparkleby AbbaieTwinkleChaptersThe Mysterious StallionThe MeetingThere's Always A Back StoryThe Mysterious Stallion It was another day in Canterlot and the newly crowned princess, Twilight Sparkle was at the castle with her ponyville friends. They were getting ready for the Grand Galloping Gala. The girls giggled and chuckled as they pampered up themselves and showed off their dresses. "Thanks for the tickets to the gala, Twi." Rainbow Dash said. The girls nodded their heads in agreement. "No problem girls!" Twilight replied. The girls chatted while they waited for their ride to the Grand Galloping Gala. Later, when their ride arrived, they all trotted down the stairs and hopped into the chariot. "I wanted to go too..." Spike said solemnly. Twilight brightly replied, "Don't worry Spike, I got your back!" She handed Spike his ticket to the gala. Spike giggled like a schoolfilly and ran off with his ticket. Twilight rolled her eyes. The chariot rode off to the Grand Galloping Gala. When the ponies all got there, they went inside and gathered around a table at Donut Joe's Donut Parlor. While the rest sat down, ate donuts and chatted, Twilight walked away. Applejack noticed that she was going somewhere and called out to her, "Hey Twilight! Where are yer' goin' to?" Twilight responded, "I'm going to dance, I hear the dances they do are VERY interesting!" Applejack shrugged and carried on with her conversation. Twilight carried on as well. She had made it just in time because the song was just then beginning. The ponies turned their backs to their partners. When the song began, they turned around to see who their partner was. They turned and spun, they made dancing seem so easy. The song started over, and now it was Twilight's turn to dance. Twilight turned her back to her partner, and when the song began, she turned around. She was surprised to see that her partner was a yellow skinned stallion with a black mask on. Twilight did what she always did when she met somepony. She introduced herself. "Hello my name is Twilight Sparkle, what's your name?" The pony was silent for a few seconds. "......It's too dangerous to say my name right here right now at this moment." Twilight was puzzled. "Wh- what do you mean? "It's too dangerous?" The pony grabbed Twilight's hoof and left the venue. They both went outside and sat on a pillow. The stallion looked left, then right, then he looked at Twilight. "Well, you see, I'm being followed by two ponies. A unicorn and a earth pony. They want something from me that is very valuable, and If I give it away, something very tragic might happen." Just then two ponies in a black uniform and sunglasses walked over to Twilight. Both Twilight and the stallion saw them. The stallion gasped. "Listen, Twilight, If those two ponies ask you where I am, just tell them you haven't seen me." The stallion ran away. Twilight called out to him, "Wa- WAIT! I never even got to know you!" The two ponies came up to Twilight. "Hello Princess, have you seen a pony with blue hair and orange skin?" Twilight thought for a moment. She didn't know if it was okay to trust the pony or was it just a trap. Her heart told her not to tell, but she told herself to do it. Finally she decided. "Yes, I have seen him, he went that way." The second pony replied, "Thank you miss." The two ponies ran towards the trail. But what they didn't realize is that, that is the way Derpy went to deliver some packages. Just then, Twilight's ponyville friends ran up to Twilight. "Where were you this WHOLE entire time?" Pinkie pie asked. Twilight responded, "I met somepony. He was...strangely.....familiar..." The Meeting It was 4:34 in the early morning, and the young alicorn was sleeping, dreaming her wonder filled dreams. Her dreaming was interrupted by a loud knock on the door. Twilight arose from her bed and opened her bedroom door. A royal guard had come to tell Twilight an important message. "Sorry for the disturbance princess, but something catastrophic might happen if you don't come with me right now." Twilight was really tired, but she wouldn't go back to sleep and let anything go wrong. So, she and the guard walked down the stairs, and walked towards the exit. The princesses: Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and the youngest one, Princess Nyx were already awake. They were all standing there waiting for their ride to come. Nyx tiredly said, "Mommy, where are we going?" Twilight responded, " I don't know Nyx, Princess Celestia, do you know?" Princess Celestia said in a serious tone, "We are going to a secret meeting. It is important we go, or things might happen." Twilight cocked her head. "What is the meeting for? Who are we meeting? What things?" Princess Luna spoke, "We are going to a meeting for all of royalty. Before you ask, yes, there is more royalty than just us alone. We are going to the meeting to handle a situation. It's kind of hard for me to explain it right now, you'll understand at the meeting." The purple alicorn nodded her head in agreement, but she still had a curious look on her face. Their chariot came after a few minutes. They walked into it and sat down. It was a bit crowded, but they managed to get comfortable. They got to the destination quickly. They all stepped out of the chariot and onto the grass. There stood a torn up looking castle. It looked as if it had been burned to pieces. The doors were sealed off with long planks of wood, the windows were cracked and broken, the sky was a grey brown color, it seemed as if they were "ghost-busters" in a haunted house. They walked inside of the beat up castle with Nyx tightly squeezing onto Twilight for protection. "Princess, are you sure this is the right castle? It doesn't seem very.....homey." Twilight asked. Princess Celestia put her hoof on Twilight's shoulder. "My student, please do trust my sister and I. Would we do anything to hurt you?" "Well, once you did." "What do you mean?" "Well, you pulled a prank on me and emptied snakes in my bed. You know I hate snakes!" Celestia smirked a little but then got serious again. "EHEM...well that's different. But anyways, we would never do anything to hurt you, so trust us. Well, I guess we would do a little "prank" hehe... But my student, please be on your best behavior when you go in, because these ponies are looking forward to meeting you, and I wouldn't want you to get off on the wrong hoof with anypony." Twilight thought to herself as she and the other princesses walked into the building. "I'm being treated like a child. I'm 19 for crying out loud!" They headed towards one of the walls in the castle. Luna walked up to it and moved the plank of wood around that looked like it was nailed to the wall. Luna mumbled to herself. "Push....pull....push....turn....turn....up....up....down." Suddenly, the walls shifted and turned until there was a bright blinding light shining in the room. When their eyes adjusted to the light, they all walked in. Twilight and Nyx dropped their jaws. It was nothing like they had ever seen! Alicorns everywhere were casting spells, chatting, flying, running, walking, laughing, it was amazing. There were short alicorns, tall alicorns, fat alicorns, skinny alicorns, girl alicorns, even boy alicorns! It was amazing. The walls were shimmering with crystals and the floor was nice white carpet. The whole place was astonishing and dazzling. The five ponies walked into another room that was in the crystal clear, very cleverly disguised castle. Twilight's eyes glimmered and shone. "Cadence, you knew about this place, why didn't you tell me about this before?" Cadence giggled and smirked. "They told me not to tell anyone. It is a secret you know." Everypony quickly trotted into the room and sat down in the seats that surrounded a large desk. Twilight sat down with the princesses and princes that were around her who were talking. The fillies and colts all went to another room where they stayed and mingled with each other as well. The older ponies started their meeting. An elderly stallion stepped up to pulpit and spoke into the microphone that was connected to it. "Hello ponies. Thank your for coming to today's meeting. I know you have traveled far, and you are all tired. We will try to make this meeting as short as possible." Everypony stopped their chatting and listened to the speaker. The pony cleared his throat. "Now lets begin. There has been a situation that effects our beloved city of Canterlot, and it's next door neighbor, Ponyville. If we do not find a way to stop it, it will also effect the princesses of that city and the citizens of Ponyville and Canterlot. There has been a threat against the two places that demand the life of the youngest princess there, Princess Twilight Sparkle." Everypony gasped and started murmured about the situation. Twilight sat there shocked at what she had heard. She looked at the three worried faces of Celestia, Luna, and Cadence. Twilight looked back at the announcer. The announcer quieted everypony down. "Simmer down, simmer down now! Now don't worry ponies, we have assigned a Royal Guard from the Crystal Empire to become a private guard and protect Twilight from anything that seems suspicious and evil." The ponies sighed in relief and murmured again. The announcer released the ponies for a break. After the break the crowd returned or the next subject. One of the princes started a subject about finance and money. Meanwhile, one of the royal guards slipped in the wide door and took a seat next to Twilight. The periwinkle princess turned her head and looked at the guard. The guard looked at her and smiled. Twilight smiled back. She looked into his eyes. They were an amazing shade of light blue. Suddenly, all the sounds in the room had been muted out. All she could hear was the sound of her heart thumping. The princess had a feeling like never before. Her heart started throbbing against her chest, she felt like she couldn't breath, her face turned a bright of red, and her head felt like it was spinning around. She tried saying something to the guard, but all that came out were stutters. Twilight looked down at the floor and squinted her eyes in embarrassment. The guard looked at her and put his hoof on her head. "Princess Twilight, are you feeling alright? You don't look too good." She calmed down and looked up at him again. She replied with a simple nod. The guard smiled at her again. "Hi, my name's Flash Sentry. You remember me from the Crystal Empire, dont you? I bet you were kinda nervous about that threat made against your home. Don't worry, we will make sure that threat doesn't harm you or your friends." Twilight smiled at him again. Then she got the feeling again. That name, she remembered it from somewhere. Oh yeah, it was the person she met in the human world, and the guard she ran into at the Crystal Empire. Her face got red again and Twilight looked down at the floor again. Then shet heard something. Something that sounded like her name. Then she realized, she was still in the meeting. The prince was still talking about money. He called her name in an annoyed tone of voice. "Miss Sparkle! Miss Sparkle!" Twilight looked up at him, her face back to the same purple it had been, her heart rate slowed down, and her head stopped spinning. "Miss Sparkle. What do you think about our idea?" Twilight just stuttered. The prince sternly looked at her. "That's what I thought. Please Miss Sparkle, don't daydream and please pay attention." Twilight hung her head in embarrassment while the other ponies chuckled quietly. The meeting was soon over and everypony was dismissed. Princess Celestia walked up to Twilight with a un-amused expression. All Twilight could do was smile and chuckle. "We'll be heading back to the castle soon. So be prepared. Luna and I just want to say hello to some friends of ours." Celestia and Luna went off. Twilight walked over to a water cooler next to the wall and had a drink of water. Then the guard she met in the meeting came up to her. "Hey Twilight. You didn't look well in the meeting. Were you feeling okay?" "Y-yeah I just um, needed something cool to drink. That's all!" "Well that's good. I'm glad you're alright." "T-thanks!" "Our ride will be here soon, so I'll see you then." "Alright! S-see you then!" Flash walked away. Twilight was blushing. She thought to herself. "I've only known him for a short time, but still...I wonder...this feeling...could it be...love?" There's Always A Back Story Twilight walked out of the ragged entrance, waiting for their ride to come. She sat on a bench that was right next to the un-inviting castle. She sat there for a while, calmly blushing and twirling her hair in deep thought. If she was doing those things, that only meant one thing: she had a deep crush on somepony. Obviously her crush must have been Flash Sentry, because once he walked through the door, she focused on nothing else but his eyes. He greeted her with a small smile and sat next to her on the bench. "Hello princess. Thinking about some things?" Twilight shook her head and refocused. "Yeah, sorry about that." Everything was silent for a while. Every now and then they would look at each other and smile. Twilight thought to herself. Ugh, I can't keep smiling at him. C'mon Twilight, think of something! Flash finally broke the silence. "Um, princess, can I ask you something?" "Yeah, sure." "W-what would you do...if....someone you really want to be friends with....just doesn't accept you the way you are?" Twilight paused. What was he talking about? Was he asking for advice? Did he want something from me? Is he saying he likes me? "Well, I would definitely stop trying to be their friend, and move on." Flash smirked and looked up at Twilight's face. "Thank you." The purple mare looked puzzled. What did I do? Did I just win his love or something? "Um your welcome? But thanks for what exactly?" "You really want to know?" The princess nodded her head. Flash was silent for a moment, but then began to speak. "Well, when I was younger, in all my grades, I was kind of the geek of the school." *SQUEE* FLASH BACK TIME!! *** Flash at the time was is 5th grade. He walked up to the teacher to get his math test. "Oh no" he thought. He hid his paper under his wing. Meanwhile his friends were at the playground, talking about their grades. Flash walked out the back door and headed towards his friends who were putting their backpacks with the other students' underneath an oak tree. One of the boys waved his hoof to him. "Hey Flash! Over here." Flash slowly walked toward his friends. "H-hey guys. What's up?" "We were just talking to each other about the grades we made. I made a D." The second boy spoke up. "Yeah, well I got a C+." The third boy boasted. "I got a B. Ha, try and beat that! What did you get Flash?" The boys all looked at Flash, waiting for an answer. He just stood there nervously. "W-well, I got....I got an...an A+...." The boys looked at each other worryingly. This was the 8th time that year that he got a great passing grade. And anypony who made higher than a B would be beat up by the school bullies. Suddenly, a tall indigo colt and 3 other ponies walked up to the boys. "Well well well, looks like it's time for my daily grades." He snatched Flash's paper from under his wing. The young colt and his gang looked at each other, then looked at Flash mischievously. Flash knew this was it. He slowly walked back as the bullies walked towards him. They pounced onto Flash's back and beat him up. Flash's friends ran up to the bullies and tried to defend Flash by punching them on their nose. They ended up getting punched back, but they ran inside to get the teacher. The ponies who where at the playground saw what was happening, and started cheering them on, chanting, "Fight! Fight!". The fight lasted 2 minutes, and when the teacher came outside the crowd left, and there laid poor Flash, crying. The bullies got detention and a trip to the principle's office while Flash and his buddies were sent to the school nurse. Later that night, Flash ran into his room, slammed the door, and cried his heart out. "Nopony likes me!" He sobbed. "I probably should just kill myself right now. Nopony would even care. They wouldn't even notice I was dead." His mother came into the room and sat down on his bed. She stroked his mane, trying to calm him down. "Sweetie, don't say that. There are a lot of people who care about you. Your dad and I, your cousins, your neighbors, your friends, we love you." Flash raised his head and showed his wet face. "You really think so mom?" "Why wouldn't we? You're kind, you're smart, heck you're adorable for crying out loud!" The sweet mare tickled her son, making him laugh out of control. "M-mom! Stop! I c-can't breath because I'm l-laughing so m-much!" Flash fell off his bed. He got up and dusted himself off. He hugged his mom as a way of saying thank you. "BACK TO THE PRESENT TIME" "Later, when I grew up, I came to the Crystal Empire to become a royal guard. Obviously I passed the test and officially am a guard now. When I became a guard, ponies actually liked me for a bit. Now for some reason, they bully and tease me. I tried fitting in but I kept making a fool and an embarrassment of myself." Twilight was shocked. She had no idea what to say to him. "Erm, sorry Princess. I guess I got a bit too personal." "It's fine, but...I had no idea Flash." Twilight still was a bit shocked. Flash smirked. "I-it's really no big deal Princess. Besides, who would like a guy like me." Twilight looked up at him and smiled. "Well, lets see. There's your parents, your family, your friends.......and me." Before the guard knew it, he got a big kiss on the lips from the young alicorn princess. He counted the seconds it lasted. "1...2...3...4...5...6...Shut up brain let me enjoy this." It only lasted 8 seconds, but when Twilight was done she winked and trotted off to the ride that finally arrived. Flash was blushing like crazy, and the only thing he could say was, "Oh....my.....sweet.....Celestia...." Meanwhile, while Flash was temporarily paralyzed Twilight also was blushing like crazy. She thought to herself out loud. "Oh my gosh...I cannot believe I just did that."
