//-------------------------------------------------------// It isn't tuesday, is it? -by SubCinemaProductions- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Tuesday //-------------------------------------------------------// Tuesday Celestia's morning sun shone through the cracks in Twilight's curtain. The beams peirced through the sleeping pony's closed eyes. She stirred, not wanting to wake of fear of what this day might be. She pulled the covers over her head. Waking up would mean that she would have to aknowledge the horrors that were bound to happen. You see, Twilight Sparkle had a phobia since she started living in this small town. She was afraid of Tuesdays. She had a new plan to deal with them now; though staying in bed all day ws hardly a solution, she knew that. It was the only way, though, for her to deal with it, in her mind at least. She couldn't explain it. Things rarely happened on Tuesday; maybe that's what terrified her so. She figured that everything would seek a state of equilibrium and therefore something atrocious or world-ending would happen. So, she stayed inside. Her plan wasn't working though. Thanks to the sun, she was now awake. The kind of awake where you can't go back to sleep, and trying to do so just made you wake up more. She turned and figetted in her bed. Her body was fighting her at every turn. Defeated, she decided grudgingly to get out of bed. She trembled as she reached for her plae grren morning robe. She tied the band around her waist soundlessly. Suddenly an Idea came to her. What if she slept all through Tuesday and now it was Wednesday? She raced down her stairs and to her daily calender, which sat on to of her table in her kitchen. She nearly tripped running down the stairs. She made a sharp turn into her kitchen and skidded to a halt in front of her table. A feeling of dread rushed over her. The calendar read: Tuesday, October 8th. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" ~ Fluttershy was walking to the Gloden Oaks Library. Besides seeing her friend again, she went there because she had come upon an animal whom she knew nothing about. It was this weird squirell that had a sort of furry webbing between it's front and back legs. As she was walking down the road, she bumped into Rainbow Dash. "Excuse me," she said softly. "No problem Fluttershy," the brash pony said. "You going to Twilight's?" "Yes. Are you?"Rainbow nodded. "Yeah I'm going to go and return this book she gave me." She pulled out a book entitled: SMART Goals for Young Fliers. "She said it would help me train. It was a little boring, but I guess something in there will help me." The two friends ildly talked as they walked to the Library. Once they had arrived, they had noticed something odd. There was a sign on the front door which read: CLOSED ON TUESDAYS Rainbow tilted her head to the side. "Oh my," Fluttershy exclaimed quietly. The cyan pegasus was the first to approach the door, her yellow friend right behind her. She knocked on the door, a small ammount of worry showing on her face, and even more on Fluttershy's. "Twilight, you in there?" she called. "GO AWAY!!!" came the harsh voice of her friend. The pegusai were taken aback. She never bevaived like this before. Fluttershy took the lead. "Twilight? Are you okay? What's worng?" "IT'S TUESDAY! THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG!!!" she shouted at them. "TUESDAYS ARE SO CALM THAT SOMETHING CATACLYSMIC WILL HAPPEN!!!!!!" The two pegasai looked at each other. They could tell that this would take awhile. ~ After three hours and getting help from just about everypony, including Spike, they had to resort to their last option. They had bribed, coerced, threatened, used formal diplomacy, Pinkie Pie, and fireworks, but nothing worked. The had to call on the big guns. Celestia walked to the door. She called out her student's name gently. "Twilight?" There was a gasp from the other side. "Celestia?" she sniffled. "Yes, it's me," she spoke softly, "You need to come out now." "B-but... I just know that something bad will happen. I just know it!" She began to cry. "And now I've gone and gotten everyone worried and brought you all here so that now something horrible will happen!" The Princess sighed deeply. She looked at everypony that had gathered there. She waved them away, motioning for them to leave. The obeyed her and left surprisingly quickly. After a moment, it was just the Princess. She leaned in close to the door. "Twilight," she spoke, "Do you remember that time when you were a filly and your foalsitter, Cadence, brought you over to the castle for a night? And then a gaurd told you that I had a pet monster living in the castle that ate little fillies? And then you woke up half the castle with your crying because you were afraid of the Filly Fermenter?" Twilight laughed. "Yeah, I remember that." "Not even Cadence could calm you down. Finally, she brought me in to save the day. I brought you to where I had supposedly kept it on a promise that I wouldn't let it eat you. I led you to a janitor's closet. You were shaking behind me as I opened the door, only to find that there was no monster. Do you remember what I had told you?" The unicorn on the other side of the door sniffled. "You said that 'Sometimes our imaginations can get the best of us. Sometimes we need to rely more on our rational mind than our superstition.'" Celestia smiled. "Exactly. Now, why don't you come outside. I Pinkie Promise that nothing horrible or cataclysmic will happen." There was a pause, and then the sound of a bolt sliding open. The door crept open slowly as the light poured into the Library and onto Twilight. Celestia extended her hoof to her. She looked around the outside world scared. She steppd out nevously and grabbed her mentor's hoof. She continued to glance around. They stood there a momment. All was silent and calm. "Well Twilight? Are you satasfied?" she asked. "Shall I sound the 'all clear?'" she added jokingly. The purple pony just smiled. "I'm sorry for putting everypony into such a worry, princess." "Perhaps it's not me you sould be appologizing to," the elder pony said. Twilight chuckled sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah, I guess I had better go to them as well." She bowed. "Thank you, princess." Celestia smiled proudly as Twilight walked away and into town. ~ Celestia's early morning sun peirced Twilight's closed eyes. She shifted in her place, and then sat up in bed and looked around. She felt energized this morning. She adorned her moning robe and walked downstairs, laughing as she remebered how silly she had acted the previous day. Deciding that she wanted some fresh air, Twilight went to her front door and opened it. There was a scream of terror and a zap of lightning. She could see a rouge stormcloud had grown wings of it's own and was going around zapping ponies. It had also caused some buildings to catch fire. The weather team was trying desparately to control it, but with little success. Twilight sighed hapily and calmly. It was her kind of morning. Author's Note RLFiE Tomorrow. Spelling errors? Probably.
