Octave Symphony is an agender pony living in Canterlot, a city full of snobbish, transphobic mares and stallions. The bigotry hurts them deeply, and something's got to give- they have to find a sliver of support to grasp at before they fall apart. A journey of the self, Mezzo documents Octave's coming out and search for acceptance in a world where queer earth ponies are often ignored, the little attention given to them is far worse than the ignorance, and everyone knows the androgynous pony as "Octavia Melody".
