Luna delivered her most recent verdict, and the two arguing ponies trotted out, neither completely happy nor mad. Luna relaxed slightly, as that had been a difficult decision. Suddenly Discord appeared next to her throne, waving a letter around. “Luuuunaaa~!” He sang, waving the letter in face. She jerked back.

“What dost thou want, Discord?” she said, focusing on the letter.

“I have a very important letter for you! I need you to read it right away!” He said, shoving it in her face.

Luna pulled her head back so far it ran into the back of the throne. She took the letter in her magic, opening it curiously. She read it, her eyes growing wide. “Discord, who are these… old friends of yours, and how are we supposed to trust them?”

“Well, you have to at least consider it. It’s not like you and Celestia can constantly keep an eye on me.” He said, smirking.

Luna frowned. “We shall talk to Celestia about it, but do not get your hopes up. Now, we must get back to Night Court.” Discord frowned, but vanished all the same.

The next morning, Luna and Celestia had breakfast- or dinner for Luna- together. Luna passed the letter to Celestia. After she read it, she carefully put it down and cleared her throat. “This is an interesting development. It likely has some connection with the letter Discord received the day before. Likely, the ponies- or creatures, more like- who sent him that letter are the same ones who sent this one. Do you think we should consider this?” she said, glancing curiously at Luna.

“I believe we should. We need to at least find out who these immortals- for they surely must be immortals- are, and discover if they are a threat or not. An interview will allow us to meet them and analyze their personalities.”

“Good idea, Luna. I shall talk to Discord about getting back to his… friends after breakfast.” Celestia said, lifting a muffin up to her mouth.
