Chapter 1: We are going to be together forever right?
"Come on BBBFF, you can't break my bookfort that easy!" A little Twilight complained, "you're no fun anymore." While making a frowny face.
"I'm sorry Twily, it is just that I have so much to do, I can't play with you all day long." Said her older brother Shining Armor, "I'll take you out to play tomorrow, I promise." He said with a smile on his face.
"Really? It's been so long since we where out playing! I remember when you taught me to fly a kite, and that time in the park, and-" A hoof was placed on Twilight's mouth. She stopped talking, and began staring at her big brother's face.
"Yeah, Twily, I remember, those where good times" He sighed, "but I have to go to school now, Cadence will be mad if i'm late, shouldn't you go to magic kindergarden?"
Twilight turned around, lowered her head where the smile she just had turned into a frown and stared at the ground. Her ears slowly fell down. Shining Armor gave a worried look, and walked over to the purple filly. He tried to lift her head up with his hoof, but she wouldn't move a muscle. She just sat there without a word coming out of her mouth, she just stared at the floor. He tried to communicate with her.
"Twily, is there something wrong?" He asked. She wouldn't answer, she didn't want her brother to be late because of her.
"Everything is fine brother, hurry, you don't want to be late!" The little unicorn jumped up and began pushing her brother to the door, he was confused, nevertheless, he grabbed his saddle bag and gave his sister a hug.
"You know you can talk to me about everything, if there is anything you need to tell me, just speak up." He said while breaking off the hug.
The filly smiled and thanked the colt, brushing off whatever it was that made her sad a while ago.
The colt rubbed the little filly's hair so it became tangled, then took off in a hurry to the school he went to, Canterlot Academy.
Twilight waved at her brother, and began to giggle when he started running. He was silly and a little goofy, even so she loved her dear big brother best friend forever, she never wanted them to be separated. They where going together forever. He was her knight in shining armor, ironically, he was training to become a royal guard. So he will soon be a real knight, her own knight. Okay, maybe not her own, it was not like she was a princess like Celestia or Cadence, however she was Shining Armor's little princess.
She always taught that her being called a Princess was a little cheesy, she wasn't exactly ''princess material''. She did not have any friends, it wasn't like she minded either, she didn't need friends, she had her brother, and a foalsitter who is a princess for celestias sake! In the end, Cadence is the one who has Shining Armor as her knight, she was his fillyfriend. Twilight was glad that the two best ponies in the world found happiness in each other.
"Twilight, it is time to go to magic kindergarden," called a womanly voice.
It was her mother, Twilight Velvet, they had both the same name so it was confusing when somepony said their names. Her mother was a greyish white middle aged unicorn, her mane had purple and white in it, Twilight and her mother had almost the same haircut. The only difference is that Velvet's mane had a curl in the end of her lower selection of hair. She had light blue eyes just like her son Shining Armor.
Soon after her mother called a deeper manlier voice, he just said her name, Twilight, to get the filly's attention. Twilight stepped in to the kitchen, looking up at the stallion who was her father.
He was a blue unicorn with a darker blue mane, his mane is styled with hair gel so most of the hair goes backwards, but a little bit of hair points out as a bang in his face. His eyes are yellow and he has wavy hair but you can only see it in his tail.
"There you are Twi-Twi" Said the stallion.
The name Twi-Twi annoyed the filly, why did they use a nickname like that, why couldn't they just use Twily like her brother did? It was a cuter and way better nickname than Twi-Twi she thought.
"Dad just call me Twilight" The filly said.
"Come on, Twi-Twi is an adorable nickname for you. If I call you Twilight, both you and your mother might get confused if I talk to you." He explained.
Her mother walked up to them joining their conversation.
"That's right Sparkles, now grab your saddle bag, it is time to go." Said the white mare.
Sometimes Twilight would wonder if her parents were the world champions of stupid nicknames, thay always found something new to call her.
The little unicorn and her mother went out the door and began trotting to the kindergarden. It wasn't so long from her house to the kindergarden, only ten minutes if you are walking. The filly began looking around her suroundings, on the road was some trees, not many, since it was in canterlot, most of the trees there was cut down.
The kindergarden was in sight now, a big white building with big windows, it had a veranda, and of course a playground for the little fillies and colts to play on. There were parents dropping off their foals, some of the foals didn't want their parents to go.
That was exactly how Twilight Sparkle felt right now, she didn't want to go and be social. It is not that she had any problems with the place, it was the ponies she had problems with. Her parents or brother didn't really know that she was kinda afraid of the other foals. They knew she wasn't really social, but they never thought that she had a bad time there.
"Now Twi go and play with the other foals." Said Twilight Velvet.
She smiled an waited patiently for her filly to go. But the filly didn't move, she just stood there, it was like she waited for something to happen.
"Eh, mom, can't I just go with you, I don't want to be in kindergarden today." Said the little filly.
The white mare stared at her filly, a little confused, but she kneeled and asked.
"Why would you want to be with me Twi-Twi? Is there something wrong?"
Little Twilight Sparkle shook her head, when she saw some foals walking up to her. She decided to just go with the other ponies, her mother left, she had work to do, she was a famous author, the Daring Do books don't write themself you know.
"Hello Twilight Sparkle, or should I say Twi-Twi?" Said one yellow unicorn filly with a purple mane.
She had blue eyes and her hair was in a ponytail. There were three other foals, just one of them was a colt.
The colt was a unicorn with a grey coat and a red mane, his mane was long and his eyes were yellow.
The other two fillies was both white, they were not related but they looked very much alike, one of them had a yellow mane, she was a unicorn and the other had a orange mane, she was an earth pony. The one with yellow mane had purple eyes and the one with orange mane had green eyes. Why was an earth pony in magic kindergarden? Twilight didn't know.
"What do you want Sunny Flower?" Twilight asked.
"Well you know, the teacher need a pet, and we thought you would be perfect for the job. Since you are such a nerd and all." Sunny said with a grin.
Who cares is she was a nerd, a bookworm, whatever, what has that to do with anything involving helping the teacher? The purple unicorn was offended.
"What has that to do with helping the teacher?" The purple filly asked, she was beggining to get really mad at Sunny.
"Well, the teacher need somepony who is smart and actually can do a little magic." Sunny Flowers said while rolled her eyes.
That was it, they were jealous of Twilight's abilities. They could not do magic yet, Twilight was one of the first fillies in the kindergarden who could do magic, she was a fast bloomer.
"Ah, okay." Said Twilight while grinning.
She actually made somepony jealous of her abilities, that was a first one. Maybe she was special after all? Grown ups always said that, even Princess Cadence said that she was anything but a regular old unicorn.
Twilight was picked up by her father. Her mother was apparently grocery shopping or something like that. Just like when she walked with her mother to the kinderhgarden, the walk only lasted ten minutes.
Twilight walked in the door, she heard somepony talking, it was a manly voice, but it wasn't as manly as her fathers. It was her brother, Shining Armor who was talking to Cadence. Yay, cadence was here, maybe she was going to foalsit Twilight today? Or maybe they were going to be all lovely-dovely today? The little unicorn began hopping up and down with excitement, if he had time for his fillyfriend, he had time for her. She overheard their conversation.
"I'm so happy for you Shining, getting accepted to the Royal Guard training grounds," Cheered Cadence happily. "It will be a little sad though, you will have to move away, and we won't be able to spend so much time together." She said with a softer voice than before.
Royal Guard training grounds? He never mentioned anything about going there and move away! We were going to be together forever, he is my BBBFF. He can't move away, not without me..
Twilight stood in the middle of the opening of the entrance into the living room. Looking down at the floor, her ears were facing down. She could not hold it in anymore, a little tear began coming out of her eye, slowly but surely more tears began to slide down her cheeks. Falling on to the floor, it was silent, you could almost hear the little teardrops landing on the tree floor. The filly tried to hold them in, that didn't work though. Why?
(Why didn't he mention this to me? He promised, to be my best friend forever, how can he be that when he is far away from me? Why didn't i notice this gap between us before it was to late? We have been slowly drifting apart from each other, he taught be how to fly a kite, he was always there, moreover that he has been less and less with me lately. I miss him, I miss him so much, even if I see him every day. His face has already begun to fade, in my memory.
"Why, WHY!?" Screamed Twilight.
"Big brother best friend forever, you liar!"
She was bursting out in tears, she would be seeing him, it wasn't like he would just disappear. But there was something that Twilight didn't want, it was them getting further apart than they already where. ((He was my big brother best friend forever, but now we'll do things rarely together...))
