The Darkness

As the group started to walk towards the truck Spike pulled out of nowhere Twilight pulled them all into sort of a huddle so that they could plan their attack.

“Alright girls. Here’s the plan. Pete’s definitely going to have some security around him. So here’s what’s going to happen. Applejack. You, Rainbow and Rarity will clear out the guards that are blocking the entrance and any others if they show up. Pinkie and Fluttershy, you’re with me when we get Pete.” She explained.

“And what ‘bout me? What’s me’ part in this?” Spike asked as he hopped through the truck window and onto Twilight’s shoulder.

“You’ll make sure Pete doesn’t run for it. You have a hoofball costume right?” She asked. Suddenly, the darkling hopped into a small vortex and came out wearing and purple and black hoofball uniform, complete with a helmet.

“Does an ass cut the cheese?” Spike asked sarcastically. Twilight merely rolled her eyes as she went back to the car…. only to find Bloody Mary missing. She made a short yell of frustration as she brought down a fist of the car roof…. a fist that was covered in metal thanks to the shade Twilight’s shadow provided. The force of this blow was enough to dent the roof.

Aw what’s the matter? Little piggy got away? The Darkness taunted her with another laugh. Twilight was about yell again but then realized how idiotic she would’ve sounded had she done so. Instead she fixed the car roof and beckoned Pinkie and Fluttershy to come.

“Alright. Let’s get this started.” Twilight said. Then as soon as she said that, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity climbed into the truck and drove off while Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Twilight hopped into their car and drove a few meters away from them.

Ooooooh Twiiiiiiliiiiiiight! Doooooo noooooot leeeeeeet him escaaaaaape! She heard the Darkness hiss. She kept quiet though as she kept on the wheel. As she drove, she felt a tingling sensation in her head. She suddenly felt light headed and passed out at the wheel. While her physical body lost control of the car, Fluttershy and Pinkie helped steady by moving her to a passenger seat, Twilight’s spirit soon saw what appeared to be a simple home movie. She was sitting in a recliner and next to her was a film projector that was starting a movie.

What’s this? She asked herself in her thoughts. But then as the movie started, her eyes widened at what she was watching. It was the first murder she had ever committed. It was her seventeenth birthday and Blueblood was standing there with a mare tied by her hooves by a steel chain and she was hanging from the ceiling.

“Now Twilight, take this.” Blueblood said as he passed her a revolver.

“W-What’s this for?” She asked in a slightly scared voice. Blueblood merely glowered at her before Twilight felt a hand glide across her face in the form of a slap. The gun slid out onto the ground

“That was for talking without permission you little bitch. Now point the gun.” Blueblood said with the utmost contempt in his voice. Twilight just nodded as she did what was asked of her. She took the gun again and pointed it towards the mare. “And now you pull the trigger. ARE YOU EVEN PAYING ATTENTION?!” The stallion yelled at her as Twilight dropped the gun again. She panicked and picked it up again. She was shaking more than a scared dog as she aimed at the mare who seemed to be crying.

“I-I.. can’t. I can’t do it.” Twilight sobbed as tears leaked from her face. Blueblood then out of rage took his hand and using all of his might, slapped her across the face causing her to stagger.

“YOU BITCH! I BET SHINING IS HAPPY TO BE DEAD SO HE DOESN’T NEED TO HAVE A SCARED LITTLE-” He started until the sound of a gunshot was heard causing him to jump. He looked, and saw Twilight.. with an angered look on her face. He looked.. and saw the mare.. bleeding from her skull. Blueblood smiled as he saw the blood on the little filly’s face. “Now that’s more like it.” He said smoothly. Twilight then aimed the gun at Blueblood and pulled the trigger…. only to find that the revolver had no bullets in it.

“Rule number one-” He started. He then took the gun from her hands and kicked her in the ribs, sending her backwards onto her rump “-Never. Try that. Again.” He finished.

Twilight! Wake up! Twilight! A familiar voice said, breaking Twilight’s attention from the screen as everything around her went white once more.

Meanwhile inside the trailer of the giant truck Spike was driving three mares were gearing up with various guns strewn about the place. Ranging from AK-47s to even a large and deadly Minigun, they were ready to face the Solar and Lunar armies combined. They also slipped on some dark clothing and gloves so they could avoid being detected and avoid any chance of being arrested.

“‘Ey girls, we’re almost there.” Spike said as he neared a large building before he turned his shape into a dark stallion with dark purple fur and a black mane..

“Alright. We know the plan. Let’s get this over with.” Rainbow said as she placed a ski mask on her head. Applejack and Rarity did the same as the truck made a short turn. The truck pulled in and they heard some mumbling outside the truck, most likely Spike trying to get in without an issue. Rainbow then passed Applejack a suppressor for the shotgun she was loading. The mumbling outside ceased and the truck passed through easily. Applejack just got the shotgun ready when the door to the trailer was opened. She pulled the trigger and the stallion was blasted back.

“Special delivery mother buckers.” Applejack said with a little smile concealed by her mask. The three then hopped out of the truck and Rainbow tapped it giving Spike the signal to move.

“I’ll see ya’ in a few.” He said as he changed back into a darkling and drove away.

“Excellent. Now, let’s see if Pete is home.” Rarity said as she picked the lock on the door successfully.

“Remember, don’t make a whole lotta noise.” Rainbow said as she placed a silencer on her AK-47. The other two mares nodded before continuing inside the building. As they went in, they noticed something strange.

“Where the hay is all the guards?” Rainbow asked.

“Why yah complainin’ fer Dash? This just makes it easy.” Applejack said. As they headed further in, however, the guards suddenly seemed to have appeared from thin air.

“You were saying Applejack?” Rainbow smirked as one got too close to her and she grabbed him. She placed her hand over his mouth as she slowly started to break his neck with ease. “Hate to break it to you pal.” Rainbow said as the stallion’s neck finally snapped. “But you were in our way.” She placed the body in a box soon after.

“Not so bad. But let a real assassin show you how it’s done.” Rarity said boldly as she drew out her knife. Quickly, she snuck up to a guard and using her blade, she dragged it across the guard’s throat, causing his crimson blood to gush out like a sprinkler as he choked on his own blood and gasped for air.

“Sorry to cut our meeting short.” Rarity said. Rainbow just rolled her eyes as they proceeded further along the pathway. The trio soon arrived at a locked door that was guarded by two stallions armed to the teeth. Normally they would’ve just shot them and be done with it but if they were guarding who they thought they were guarding then anything out of the ordinary would’ve exposed them and the target could make an escape.

“What do we-” Rarity started until suddenly.. a very cold chill slithered up her spine.

“Rarity, are ya’ okay?” Applejack asked. But then suddenly, a dark aura surrounded the mare, making the section of the room turn shadow black.

“What the-” The mares heard the guard say. The next thing they knew the two guards were set upon by creatures that seemed eerily familiar to Spike. Neither guard gave out a scream as the creatures set upon them. When the darkness faded all three of them looked up….. and nearly barfed by the sight before them. The guard had barely anything remaining of him. Blood splatters on the roof, walls, and floor, bits of bone and flesh scattered about, and the head of the guard laid in the middle with blank stare.

Twilight had been asleep for several minutes but she still insisted that it felt longer. It didn’t matter as she, Fluttershy, and Pinkie arrived at their destination soon after.

“Alright. Let’s hope they got rid of the guards.” Twilight prayed. Then, the three went into the building but gasped at the sight. All of the guards were slaughtered like animals.

“S-S-S-” Fluttershy managed to stutter before she let out the contents of her stomach all over the ground.

“I know. Come on, let’s catch up.” Twilight said as she stepped over the vomit puddle and pass the bodies of the guards. But what really made her want to vomit was the remains of what was left of the guard. His body parts were scattered everywhere and seemed to have been… chewed off by some kind of animal. She soon arrived and saw three masked mares. She was about to open fire on them when she saw that one of them had a rainbow mane behind her.

“So is he in there?” Twilight asked. Rainbow was startled and nearly fired on Twilight before she saw who it was. She then grunted in irritation.

“Don’t know. He’s been awfully quiet.” Rainbow said as she took off her mask along with AJ and Rarity.

“Alright. I’m going in. Make sure nopony comes this way.” Twilight ordered. The mares nodded as she walked into the room. She looked around the room and noticed a whole lot of things. It was well decorated, large bookshelves on the walls, and of course, Pete sitting in a chair with his muzzle in some books. Twilight didn’t consider walking up quietly and so just stormed on up to Pete who’s last image before being knocked out was a lavender gloved fist approaching him.

“Sorry. But this place isn’t where we’re gonna talk Pete.” Twilight said as she picked up the unconscious stallion. She then walked out of the room, but not before pulling the pin out of a grenade and rolling it into the middle of the room.

“So Twilight, what’s next?” Fluttershy asked as the unicorn closed the door.

“Well… we might wanna get moving.” She said as the place suddenly shook a little violently. Twilight concentrated and soon all six mares and one unconscious stallion out of the suddenly collapsing building.
