I slammed the door to sugar-cube corner. I was angry. Why? I don't really remember, but i didn't care. All I knew was my girlfriend just dumped me and I was pissed! I needed to vent, so I kicked off the ground causing chunks of dirt to fly in the air and flew for the first tree I saw in the Ever-free and started slashing at it in a blind rage. My anger was so great, i tore right through the tree. Sending bits and peices into the air. I kept clawing the tree, till i was kicking up dirt and roots. I paid no attention to the damage I was causing that the sound of the tree hitting the ground brought me from my rage and I saw the tree in pieces in front of me. It wasn't enough. I was still pissed. I turned to the mountains. I needed to break something larger, more of a challenge to destroy. I took off from the ground, leaving a crater in my wake. ~~)oOo(~~ Rainbow's pov. We heard something outside the door. I may have been mad, but I still cared about her. I ran out the door to see claw marks and chunks of the ground scattered and immediately knew it was one of Gilda's signature rage offs. I looked up to see if I could see her, but didn't see anything. I started to panic. There is only one thing that she can do to calm down; destroy things. I knew where to go, but I was hesitant. I know how much she dosen't like sympothy. So, I flew up and searched for the tell tale style of my girlfriends rage. I spotted a missing tree in the everfree, and i bolted. I was so caught up with protecting my friends, I didnt see the change. Her mood, her demener, everything changed. I was so blind. I caused this to happen. ~~)oOo(~~ Gilda's pov. I kept hitting the rock. Letting my anger boil over, but i start to slow down, blood dripping down my arms. As I stop, I look at my talons, once sharp and deadly. Now, broken and bloody. "I deserve it.." I said to myself. "I made her angry with me, it wasn't just the party...it was her. She changed.." I sighed and sat down, my talons curled into the ground. It hurts, but it is just something to hate myself for. I caused her pain, and now i'm paying for it. "It was so much better when it was just you and me Dash.." I closed my eyes in anger, the tears finally falling. I sobbed and gripped my head with my bloody hands. ~~)oOo(~~ Rainbow's pov. It was a mess. The anger I felt towards her, the pain I feel from it, and the anguish I feel just knowing she is hurt. I know her enough to know she is crying right now, her talons that were so smooth. Now bloody, stained and in pain. "Its my fault.." I stopped flying and landed on a lone cloud. "I caused this, i made her do this.." I sank into the cloud, the stress of the past few hours catching up with me. I started to cry, my tears burning as they finally escape my tightly shut eyes. I cried for her, for me and for everything I regret. "I..its..all my fault..!" I scream to the sky. I sank back into the cloud, my emotions spent. I looked blankly to the sky, the tears dried and my body tired. "I'm sorry.." I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep. But the sound of wing beats made my eyes flutter open. I looked around and saw a bright blur flying toward's me. I rub my eyes and it starts to come into focus. "Rainbow...are you okay?" I blink and wipe the tears away. "S-spitfire? What are you doing here?" She lands next to me and rubs my back. "I heard about what happened with gilda.." I sit up straight and sigh. I let myself fall into her arms and cry on her shoulder. She rubs my back as I let myself cry. "Shh..its okay.." ~~)oOo(~~ Gilda's pov. "It's not fair, I told her how I felt, but it wasn't enough..." I cough out some blood and sighed. "Dammit..." I cursed. I was so pissed! So sad. So... hurt. I let myself fall into my own blood and let my eyes shut and let myself fall asleep. There was nothing I wanted more than to just be torn to shreds by an ursa or something, but what I heard wasn't giant stomping feet or snarls. It was wings flapping closer to me. I opened my eyes and glared at whoever was stupid enough to come within a hundred yards of me. "Gilda?" Thunder Lane called to me. "Get lost dweeb!" I snarled. "I don't need anyone's help! Especially ponies!" I started to get up but the pain from slashing at the rock and tree with the puddle of my blood prevented that. I slipped straight back to the ground. That black pegasus ran to my aid, but I immediately snapped at his neck. "I said get lost! I don't need your help!" "Gilda, I heard about what happened..." He said. "Why do you care?!" I snapped. "You never liked me in that pathetic flight school! Why would you help me now?!" I fiercely glared into his soul, waiting for him to fly away like a damn cowered as he always did. But to my growing frustration he never left. He just stood there waiting for me to let him help me. "Gilda, you need help and I'm not going anywhere until you let me." He said firmly then sat down in front of me. I growled at him. "Just get lost you damn pegasus!" I roared as I felt my anger toward him rising, but something else was rising too. All my emotions boiling at once. Anger the most of all, but also... sadness? I was tired.. My body shook, my head throbbed and my heart rate quickened. I was exuasted. I let my head lay down and sighed. "Fine.." He smiles lightly and rubs my back, soothing me. "Gilda, tell me.." ~~)oOo(~~ Rainbow's pov. After a few minutes, i settled. I let myself fall into the cloud and sighed. "Rainbow, something is wrong, and you need to tell me now.." I looked at her, my vision blurry. "I don't want to talk about it.." I turned away from her, upset. "Rainbow.." She rest's a wing on my back and waited. Waited for me to pour my heart out, to break down again. "I said no.." "Rainbow..please, i want to help you.." I sighed and sat up. "You really want to know?" She nods and i take a few minutes to think about how it all started. I thought back to flight school. The day i saw her, the day she saved me, the day... "I fell in love with her.." The realization hit me like a ton of bricks. "I loved her ever since i saw her.." I looked at the ground, my head finally piecing it all together. "I brought her here, i let her be alone, i made this all happen.." I held my head in my hooves and let the tears build up again. I didn't want to tell her, i never wanted to tell anyone about the day we met. But now, ill have to. For her. Or ill loose her, forever. I shifted in place and kept my gaze to the ground. Afraid of what she will think of me. I wanted to keep it between us. I sat up and looked down at the soft, white mist of the cloud. "We were put in the same class...advanced flying for pegasi and griffons, sometimes the occasional dragon or two." I start to gain more ground when i talk about her. "The moment i saw her, i knew we had a conection..." I shift to get comfortable. "What happened?" the question seemed like a normal one, but truth be told, it wasnt. Twenty-two years ago: Flight school Rainbow soared through the rings of clouds in front of her, moving faster and faster then ever. Rainbow was being pushed to her limits, and this was just the starting test. She needed to impress the teachers and flight academy officials in order to pass. "Come on..." she flew faster, passing through hoops and rings. She flew past the final ring and the buzzer goes off, letting her know she was done. Landing on the hard clouds, she tooks a few needed deep breathes, sweat dripping down her brow from the exurtion. "You did good." The griffon instructor told her as he checked her off his list. "Hit the showers and report tomorrow." Soon after, she was showering, washing off the dirt and sweat from the days events. She felt confident about herself, knowing she couldn't be beat by anyone else. She knew she was the fastet, though she pushed herself harder then any pegasus should. After washing off, she quickly dried and went to get a snack, finding a line for the snackbar Sighing, she stood by the wall and waited. "Tough break." A ruged voice said to her right. Looking over, she saw a carmel brown griffon walk up. Her head feathered tipped with a faded purple, her eyes golden. "Hey, names gilda. Im new here." She extended a hand. Rainbow chuckled and took it with her wing. "Rainbow. Rainbow D. Dash." She gave a smile and looked the griffon over. "So, what brings you to cloudsdale?" She had never seen a female griffon, untill now. "I heard this school was the best, so i decided to try it out." She seemed friendly, but something peaked rainbows interest; something hideen in those eyes. She wanted to know more, so much more about the griffon. But that would have to wait, becuase her stomach grumbled, making her blush a little. Gilda chuckled and gestured for her to fallow. "I keep a stash of goodies in my room. Il share with ya."
