The night the Gold Leaf came home to stay.
Chapter 1: meeting the new pony
A palomino with a dark grey mane stumbled along a sidewalk in a large city. She flutters her wings nervously and looks over her shoulder with the eye that wasn't obscured by her mane. Seeing nothing she continued to walk out of town. A large billboard read "You're now leaving Manehatten!" The mare sighed forlornly as she saw the sign. "I know I shouldn't leave but still," she said to herself " I don't know what I'm supposed to do."
The mare looked over her shoulder once more then ran. She began to fly about 40min out of the city. Her one eye had tears streaming down that cheek. The eye that was covered didn't seem to be affected by the other. At some point he spotted a forest. She stopped going forward and stared at it tight showing in her eye. " It, it can't be." She said fear filling her voice. It's the EverFree forest. She glided downwards and stood at the edge of the forest looking in on it. She looked at the foreboding forest once more and turned towards a rather nice hill with a small copse of birch trees. the trees made a rather nice clearing. Looking around the mare saw nothing exactly scary or threatening.
Seeing nothing threatening the mare curled up. Dawn awoke the mare. The sun shining in her eye that wasn't covered by hair made that eye squint. She shook her hair trying to make it look at least a little bit better. Looking in a mud puddle she saw it didn't. Well she thought I wonder what town is around here?
A leaf being stepped on behind made her whirl round. She found herself face to face with a stallion. Her cheeks blushed and she thought about how terrible she must look. "Who are you?" she inquired briskly. Before the stallion replied she began to notice how he looked. His coat was a light-ish brown and his mane started and had several spikes till it met the back of his neck. "Ummm... Hi my name is Doctor Hooves but you can call me Doctor if you like." the stallion replied a bit hesitantly.
