Chapter 1
Vinyl scratch and Octavia city life
Chapter 1 new place
It had been a year since Octavia and her fillyfriend (for those of you who don't know pony lingo a filly is a girl and colt is a boy) Vinyl scratch had gotten out of university and escaped the need to keep their relationship a secret. With the money they earned from Vinyls gigs and Octavia's concerts they had raised enough money to finally move out of the apartment they were sharing with vinyls cousins Shimmer stone into a flat in downtown Manehattan only a few blocks down from their former university were they first met.

Vinyl watched Octavia walk to the window and look out at the school. She took off her signature reflective purple shades and waited for her ruby red eyes to adjust before going over and put her hoof around vinyls as the sun set. "Vinyl it's beautiful." Octavia said tears swelling in her eyes "Hey for you Octy, I would have bought the whole building..." That was all vinyl could say before being muffled by Octavia's Kiss. "Want to break in the new bed?" Vinyl asked with a seductive smile "Dame straight!" Octavia said imitating Vinyls voice.

That night as they lay cutteled  together Octavia's head on vinyls warm chests she dreamed of how she ended up so lucky as to be with vinyl
It started as an argument in "Understanding the power of friendship" class the year befor
Led to them bing assigned to spend time together
Witch led to them becoming close friend
Witch led to more hanging out  witch led to that first kiss with vinyl (Octavia's first real kiss)
witch led to secretly dating
witch led to them talking about more personal feelings
Witch led to sex
And it ended with them declaring they're love for each other and vinyl asking her to move in.(of course she said yes)
Witch all took place in 3 and a half of knowing vinyl, but she knew and she knew vinyl knew that they were perfect for each other and as her dreams drifted else where she felt Vinyl draw her closer and she was happy.
Chapter 2 a party
It was only the second day of living in Manehattan and Vinyl already had a gig she would be playing at the "Double Drum" Bar. She'd only ever been there once or twice with Octavia on some dates but Her special some pony would get to here her play a song she had written for her .
After setting up her mixing table she lifted her shades onto her forehead and made an announcement.
"Greetings Fillys, and Gentalcolts," she started " I wrote this song a while back and YOU are about to be its first EVER audience!" The crowd Cheered and she gave Octavia a wink  making the ash grey mare blush a deep red. Vinyl smiled and started flipping switches and turning dials at lightning speed.

All of a sudden a low wubing sound came from the speakers and slowly rose to a higher pitch  suddenly Vinyl yelled from the stage "DROP THE BASS!!!" As she slammed her hoof down on a button suddenly Otavias mind clicked She was playing her music (Or at least some variation of it) she looked up smiling  at Vinyl, Vinyl typed something in on her computer and walked away down to Octavia "What are you doing?! " She asked bewildered "I just set it to repeat a bunch of different songs so I ask you to dance." She said blushing
Octavia gave her a hug followed by a quick peck on the lips "You never have to ask me." She said "Then come on babe let get our grove on!" Vinyl said enthusiastically.
After about an hour of dancing
they sat down at the bar."it won't be long before the track ends so I should get back on stage sone ." Vinyl said casually "Well then you wouldn't mind if I bought you a drink."
Octavia rip lied smirking "Filly you can buy me two!" Vinyl replied before giving Octavia a (not at all Discrete" kiss on the lips.
Chapter 3 a few drinks
As vinyl sat at her mixing table she would steal the odd glance at Octavia, she could tell she'd had more than a few drinks. She was dancing like no ponies business. "Dame she's sexy when she dances" Vinyl thought to herself smiling. She'd playing music for hours now and it was late so she decided to take a brake. Heading into the crowed of dancing drunks she maneuvered her way towards Octavia. " Hey Octy  never seen you dance like that before."  "Hey Vinyl get over her!" Octavia said pushing Vinyl up against the wall! "I should get you drunk more often." Vinyl said smiling a lopsided smile. "Yes you should." Octavia said as she started to make out with the dj against the wall as the crowd cheered.  After a wile of dance the lights and sounds turned off, much to   the crowds disappointment.  As vinyl packed her stuff up with magic Octavia leaned on her for support. "Come on Tavi lets get you home." Vinyl said as they left the bar doing to drunk herder shuffle.
Chapter4
It was Octavia's first hang over and she now understood why Octavia wore her signature purple reflective glasses even though it cover her beautiful red ruby eyes. Octavia sighed at the though of the dj HER dj
Suddenly she realized she wasn't at the flat and vinyl wasn't there. "Were could she be? Suddenly Octavia's question was answered as vinyl steeped out if the bathroom with a tower around her shoulders and a toothbrush in her mouth
"Hey Octy your awake!" Vinyl said taking her the tooth brush out of her mouth."Vinyl," Octavia said to the smiling unicorn "yes Octy?" "I was just wondering, were are we vinyl?" She asked looking around. "Were at a hotel, you were pretty drunk last night so i thought it would be best to just, get room." Vinyl answered smiling at the joke Octavia didn't quit catch. "Oh well in that case well just have to make the best of our predicament." Octavia said with a sultry smile. Pulling vinyl down on top of her before they started to make out.
/ AN ok for those of you reading this my chapters might carry in length based on what's going on and how I'm felling at the time but I'm going to continue to update this story as often as possible/
Chapter 5
It's was mid day by the time vinyl got Octavia awake so they could go home. "Hey Vinyl?" "Yes Octy?"
Do you think we could go visit Lyra and Bon-Bon? It's been a while and I was wondering how they were doing." Octavia exclaimed "Ok Octy but you owe me a chocolate bar." They both giggled as they left. (For those of you who don't know Lyra and Bon-Bon are friends of Octy and vinyl from university and they own a candy shop ssoooo yea lets continue)

By the time they had paid and gotten to the shop it was closed. " Well know that bits." Vinyl said as they looked at the closed sing. "Before we give up hope I have an idea." Octavia picked up a rock and hurdled it through imam open window "What the hell was that for"  a mint green unicorn with a light blue mane pocked her head out the window.
"Hey Lyly." Vinyl giggled at Bon-Bon nick name for Lyra. "I should have known" she grumble "Bon-Bon we have guests it Vinyl and Octavia."

Chapter 6
As vinyl and Octavia snuggled with lyra giving them a lopsided smile waiting for Bon-Bon to show up
"So you two still together." Lyra asked still smiling "Yup are you and Bon Bon still together?" Vinyl asked jokingly "That we are" said a cream earth pony with a blue and pink mane siting down next to Lyra giving her a quick kiss. "Here you go" Octavia said handing vinyl a few bits (dollars)
"What was that for?" Asked Bon Bon quzikely "oh I bet Octy here that you two were a couple know." Vinyl answered giving them a smile. "Yes and I bet age ate it" Octavia said. A long silence "Well hate to cut this visit short but me and Bon Bon here gave some un finished Business" she smiled at Bon Bon "ok just go easy on her." Vinyl said with a wink make in the two mares on the opposit couch blush. "Later" vinyl said getting and leaving with Octavia.
As they reached the door they broke into uncontrolled laughter "I was just kiding wene I asked" vinyl said composing herself. "Yes we should go home." Octavia said wiping a tear from her eye and with that they trotted back towards they're home.

Chapter 7
/if you haven't noticed I'm don't have the greatest punctuation I noticed this after reading over a few chapter/
For the next few weeks life continued as normal vinyl going to gig Octavia performing concerts (getting drunk) hanging out and going on double dates with Lyra and Bon Bon. Everything was perfect... Until one fateful dj battle.
A new Dj showed up in manehaten one day and challenged vinyl to a battle. This ponys name was Dark Rhythm ( his stage name RatchetPony) here a little info on DR as his friends called him he started as a fan of Djpon3 (Vinyl) and finally saved up some bits for a turn table. He practise on it for a few years before he started working at raves. After his first rave he earned his cutie mark with was a subwoofer. After he earned a name for himself he decided to challenge his idol (vinyl scratch)
Back to the story
After a few minutes of sending notes back and forth during the battle DR finally lost it " your cheating" he yelled a Vinyl stoping the music "how?"(I'm about to do something confusing just remember vinyl said how) "your using magic!""so I'm a unicorn""well I bet you couldn't play a single song without your magic!""what did u say you racer hussy?"" You heard me you have no talent without that horn if yours" I'll have you know it take way more concentration to use my horn than hooves.""what ever I'm out, you pathetic lesbian."  Befor he had time to turn she had graves him with her magic thrown him of the stage into the back wall knocking him unconshis and ran out of the building
When vinyl opener the door to her and Octavia's flat she was greatest with a menacing glare from her fillyfriend.

Chapter 8
Asking
"Octy you ok." Vinyl asked nervously. "I'm fine vinyl can you come with me pleas." I replied keeping my expression stern trying not to let my neves show. But Vinyl on the panther hand look like confusion and nervousness had a baby that was living in her brain.
"Octy were are we going?" Vinyl asked me after the 20 minute hick through the streets to the manehaten park. "You'll see vinyl." was my reply fallowed by a loud sight from vinyl.
"We're here." I exclaimed just as we arrived. We were standing under the tree where Vinyl asked me to be her mare friend. "Octy," Vinyl said nervously. "Why are we here, Are you breaking up with me?" She asked. "No silly I would never break up with you," I replied a smile finally peaking through and showing on my lips. "I was actually going to ask you simething." When I looked at her eyes (she wasn't wearing her glasses.) I saw her confusion and nerves replaced with hope. I reached my hoof into a small bag I was carrying and brought out a ring "Vinyl," I started "Will you..." "Yes yes yes, Octavia I will marry you!" Vinyl said not giving me time to finish and pulling me into a tight hug. "Vinyl... That a...little to tight." I said between breaths." She let go at that. "Oh sorry Octy I'm just so exited! Let's go tell Bon-Bon and Lyra." My 'Fiancé' exclaimed as she ran off. I sight at the thought of use being together in a whole new way entirely before chasing after her towards our friends store smiling all the way.
