What was supposed to be a routine trip to the Griffon Kingdom and a learning experience for the newly crowned Twilight quickly turns to disaster as she finds herself in the middle of a coup.

It was supposed to be a routine meeting with the Griffon Kingdom. Twilight was supposed to accompany Luna to sign trade treaties so that she could better learn to be a princess. Instead the Equestrian princesses find themselves entrenched in a violent coup that threatens an all-out war between the two empires.
