The Equestrian Robotics League
Epilogue
Previous ChapterApplejack happened to be walking by, and heard what they'd shouted. Running in, she immediately put a stop to it.
"GIRLS!" She shouted, her eyes blazing with anger, "You need to stop trying these stupid, dangerous ideas before Sweetie Belle gets killed!"
"What's so stupid about making knives fight each other?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"What? No, you fight another pony WITH a knife!" Scootaloo informed her.
"Oh. That does sound dangerous!" Sweetie Belle replied.
"Seriously, girls, why can't you try something normal? Open up a dang-blasted lemonade stand or something! Start a cart-wash! Become dog walkers! Normal things for fillies your age, not all this dangerous stuff that's putting us in the poor house with your medical bills!"
Scootaloo looked to the floor, hurt, "Y-you just don't understand, Applejack. I don't have a real sister, I don't have parents. I can't just settle for some run-of-the-mill talent. I have to be something special. I have to make other ponies notice me. I have to BE somepony, so that maybe, just maybe, somepony will love me."
Applejack's jaw dropped, shocked to hear such a heartfelt answer. Scootaloo was just looking for attention. Looking for the affection she'd been denied her whole life. Before Applejack could even respond, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom both grabbed her in a tight hug.
"Now, don't be spoutin' nothin' silly like that!" Apple Bloom said, "WE'RE your family! We love you even if you're not a daredevil robot-battlin' knife fighter!"
"Yeah!" Sweetie Belle continued, "Even if you never find a talent, we'll always love you! We're like sisters!"
Scootaloo couldn't hold back the tears, returning their hugs, "Th-thanks, girls! I love you, too!"
With a soft smile, Applejack left the clubhouse. Maybe those fillies will be alright after all. And then...
"I know! Maybe we can get our cutie marks by sharing our love with other ponies!"
With a look of fear on her face, Applejack ran back in to explain why that was NOT a good idea.
