My name is Bass Chord. My entire life, my mother, a Royal Guard carriage repairpony, has had to move all around Equestria under orders from her superiors, with me in tow. I've had to live with constantly moving around, no real permanent residence to speak of. In my 16 years of life, I've never really felt that I've belonged anywhere. Now, I'm moving to some small town, Ponyville, the transfer itself being requested by Captain Shining Armor. Even if I like Ponyville, it's not like I'll get to stay forever. When will I find that one place where I feel I belong? When will I find a place to call home?
