There is an incredibly audible thumping coming from somewhere inside your house. You try to ignore it, for you are trying your hardest to sleep; you absolutely abhor mornings with a strong passion. Despite your hardest efforts you find yourself fully awake, searching your room for the obnoxious sound. You spend ten minutes of your time searching for it, and you find it. The sound turns out to be no more than blood rushing through your ears. You sigh, this has been happening for a few weeks now, but you haven't the slightest clue as to why. You push the thought to the back of your mind, it will most likely happen tomorrow, but you'll worry about that when it comes.
You walk over to the window that resides on the opposite side of your room from your bed, you want to take a look at the world outside. It is a bright, sunny day without a cloud in the sky; ponies are going along with their daily business, everything seems right in the world. The view of the events happening outside causes a smile to creep across your lips. You turn away from your window and make your way to the door to your room and grasp the knob with your teeth and open it. On your way out you close the door gingerly with your rear left hoof and continue to walk through the hallway; the front door loses distance as your steps drum on the floor underneath you.
You repeat the process that you had carried out when leaving your room to get out of your house; it was too good of a day to stay inside. Outside now you take a stroll to Sugarcube Corner, not that you want any sweets, but you want to stop in to see your friend, Pinkie Pie. You take your time, not really in any rush to do anything today, it was a Sunday. As you walk you see the schoolhouse, there are foals swarming into the front door, some of them with cutie marks, some without, the teacher holding open the door. The teacher was a slightly overweight stallion with scissors for his cutie mark, Snips, the pony you had least expected to be a teacher, the pony you thought had his cutie mark because he ran with scissors, but he does his job well. You stop by to say a quick hello to him and continue on your way.

After what seemed like thirty minutes of walking and interacting with other ponies you have finally reached Sugarcube Corner. You make your way through the open door, through which you are instantly greeted by Pinkie... This does not in any way take you by surprise. She jumps on top of you and spins on your back, something that you have grown to handle in the past few years. After about five seconds you ask her how the weather is in Pinkietown, she answers with a nice, cheery "Bright, happy and full of candy floss!" Her weather report is followed by her jumping off of your back, landing on the floor to your left. "The same as every day!"
You chuckle at this. "Well, that's good, at least you aren't down in the dark dumps." You nudge the pink pony standing next to you; she giggles. You continue, "So, anything new or important you think I should know about?"
Pinkie nods, "Yeah, take a look at that poster over there." She points to the right of both of you with a hoof and you follow her hoof and notice the poster. You walk over to it while Pinkie is still talking, you hear the words "concert" and "used to live in Ponyville." But you let the poster explain rather than your friend.
The title reads:
Concerto Finale
You become curious, Final Concert? You continue to read.
Come see the show that will blow you off your hooves; the final performance of the marvelous, the beautiful Sweetie Belle is going to be happening next Friday here in Ponyville!
You quickly take a glance at the bottom of the poster; it was posted yesterday. You continue.
This is a once in a lifetime show, so don't miss it! Please purchase tickets at any of these locations: Ponyville Library, Carousel Boutique or Ponyville Concert Hall.
You look back to Pinkie Pie, who is still talking, no surprise there. You ask her who Sweetie Belle is, you know you know the name, but can't place it to anypony in specific. She gives you an answer, "She's Rarity's little sister, you know Rarity, right?" You nod. "Well, Sweetie left Ponyville with her parents as soon as she got her cutie mark... I wonder why."
You blink, still somewhat confused, but you ask her another question. "Do you think I should buy tickets to this?" You think for a short moment and add on to the question. "Is Sweetie any good?" Pinkie answers both questions with a nod. You smile and thank her. "I guess I'll go buy myself a ticket then, see you later Pink."
She wraps her hooves around you in a hug before you go. "Have fun!" After saying this she turns you around and literally kicks you out. You chuckle, classic Pinkie Pie.

You arrive at Carousel Boutique; you didn't want to buy your tickets at the concert hall, so you decided to buy them here. You open the door to see that Rarity and Applebloom are working as hard as ever, they don't take a look up from their work to greet you. But you are greeted by Opalescence, the cat that likes barely anypony. She seems to have softened over the years, because she just seems like a frail old cat now; you lean down and nuzzle her gingerly, she purrs in response.
You knock on the door and Rarity jumps out of her seat, Apple Bloom just looks at you somewhat drearily. The yellow earth pony nodded to you and came your way, leaving the work to Rarity for the time being. She starts with a friendly "Howdy!" She smiles, "What can I help you for?" You tell her that you want to buy tickets to Sweetie's show. Her smile becomes much larger when she hears Sweetie Belle's name. "I'll go get you one, but you can count your bits, it'll be twelve bits." She runs off as you pull out twelve bits.
After what isn't even a minute Apple Bloom comes back with the ticket. She trades it for the bits and thanks you. You turn around and hear her say "Have a nice day!"
An unreal roaring comes to your ears, waking you from your pleasant dream of playing with small animals in a meadow. The roaring is almost as if there are ten timber wolves growling at you from your bedside. At least this morning you are able to recognize what it is, yet again, it is blood rushing through your ears. You really need to get the angle of your bed checked, to see whether or not it's on a downhill slope. You roll to the edge of your bed lazily, your wings impeding on your tumble halfway down. You let out a deep sigh; you don't want to go to work today. It has been four days since you bought the tickets to Sweetie Belle's concert, it is Thursday. You glance over at the nightstand, where the ticket now resides, to steal a glance at it. You never, before now, took the time to actually look at many of the details on the ticket.
Now you are:
This ticket is a voucher to redeem admission to see "Sweetie Belle: Concerto Finale"...
You roll your eyes at this, "Obviously." After a quick snicker you continue reading:
in addition you can come and meet Sweetie Belle and her double bassist Octavia herself at Ponyville Library the night before the concert.
You stare at the small blue voucher that sits on your nightstand, the first thing coming to mind being: "How did they fit so many words on such a small ticket?" But, you let that thought pass as another crawl into your subconscious. You jump out of bed, letting the thought linger in your head whilst you run out the door to your room, then out the front door, locking it on your way out. While you are running you look up at the sun to determine the time, 10 to 11 AM by your estimate, you don't think much of this, you just want to get through your day. You look to your right and see the Ponyville Library, where Twilight Sparkle and Cheerilee work, but you aren't going to stop in there right now, you are on your way to your job.
But, not every journey goes unopposed, and yours is obstructed by an orange and dark purple blur. You meet with it in a crash, causing you to fall one way and your obstruction to fall the other; you hear the sound of metal clattering on the ground. The pain washes over you for a moment before you struggle up to look at the other pony, well, you hope it's a pony. It is. It is Scootaloo, of course it was her. The orange pegasus looks at you, about to lash out at you, until she realizes who she just ran into.
"Oh my Celestia! I-I am so sorry, that was my fault!" Her face went red within an instant. You sigh, remembering back to the last night that you had spent with this beautiful mare, the time you had all but forgotten about:
The moon of Luna's night was full, shining down unto the small hill outside Ponyville that the two of you were stargazing on. It was just you and Scootaloo, nopony else, it was perfect. Her mane was still the same unkempt cat that she wore, but neither of you cared; this was a special day. It was your four month anniversary that day, you had chosen this specific spot just for this special occasion with this special pony.
You looked into her purple eyes, seeing a boundless well of emotion behind them. You loved this more than anything, and you could tell from the smile she was giving you that she did as well. You wrapped your hooves around her neck in a hug and she returned the gesture.
"Scoots, do you know how much I love this right now?" You asked her whilst you still shared your embrace.
"If you didn't, then I wouldn't be doing my job right," She softly pressed her lips to your cheek before continuing. "would I?"
You giggled, half to yourself, half to her. "No, I guess it wouldn't." You released her and looked into her eyes; your's widened within an instant. She wasn't looking into yours, rather, she was looking at your body. Your face instantly welled with heat as you filled with embarrassment. "Scoots! Do you think that my flank is more interesting than my face?" You saw her face turn to a shade of red that made it look almost as if she was never orange, she looked up at you.
"N-no, babe! It's n-not like th-that!" She points in the general direction with her hoof, but she was obviously lying.
You stood up onto all four of your legs, not wanting to listen to her cock-and-bull story; you stormed away, hoping to never see this orange mare again.
But now, in the present, here she is again. Your face hardens with anger as you look at her, her again. As before, you turn your back and storm away.

Your day is now almost finished, having also forgotten the incident with an unfortunate mare earlier in the morning. Now was your time to meet the stars of tomorrow's concert, more one than the other. Sweetie Belle and Octavia were here, at Ponyville Library, greeting fans and family. You were watching from afar, not wanting to approach either of them before the crowd died down... At least, that was what you kept telling yourself that. You felt warm while you watched Sweetie Belle, not like you did with Scootaloo, but... Better. You are oblivious to everything going on around you, all besides the things that this white mare does. You sigh. While watching you are approached by Rarity, who surprises you with a shockingly forceful shake on the shoulder. You look up to her and ask her what she wants.
She smiles for reasons unknown. "Oh, I just noticed you mooning over my little sister, nothing too serious."
Your face was flushed within an instant. "M-mooning?! No, no, no, not mooning, I haven't done that since... That... Certain mare..."
Her smile disappeared and she shook her head. "Come on dear, that is in the past, it's best you not let it linger."
"Then what do you suggest I do?"
"Well, were you, or were you not mooning over my sister?"
You shake your head violently, your face flushing more.
"Are you lying to me?"
You try to shake your head once more, but your conscience won't allow for you to lie any more. "Y-yes, Mist Rarity, I'm sorry. Now what do you want me to do?"
She smiled, "You don't need to call me miss." She giggled; she was standing next to you. "And take into mind everything that I tell you." She points over to the bar that somepony set up. "I brought up all of those drinks, and I know for a fact that there isn't a drink that she doesn't like. Bring her one, I'll pay."
Alcohol, you had never had alcohol before in your life... But, this could be your chance. You look to Rarity and nod, "Thanks, will do." You make your way over to the bar, not too urgently as to not bring too much attention to yourself. You look for the most expensive looking bottle you could find -Rarity did say she was paying- and you poured two glasses of... Whatever it was; you didn't bother to read the label for too much besides the fact that you now know whether it is not dangerous to drink. You take your time propping both glasses atop your head so they wouldn't fall as you walked. Once you knew the glasses were stable you made your way over to Sweetie.
The white mare looks over to you and giggles at the way you're carrying the drinks and asks, "Do you plan on joining the circus?" There was a humourous tone to her voice. She blinks a few times, her smile dropping off of her face as she notices that you have two drinks, not one. She steps out of your way. "I'm sorry, you must be needing to get to whoever the second one's for."
When she says this you tip your head ever so slightly, not wanting the drinks to spill. "The second one's for you." Her eyes widened and a blush crawled onto her face, obviously not believing you. "C'mon, take it, I mean, it is for you."
You feel the weight on your head lighten slightly as you see the drink float off of your head. Sweetie Belle takes a sip and smiles after getting the taste onto her tongue. "Thanks."

(Alright guys, the polls are in! "You" are now a mare, a pegasus specifically, in this story. How will this unravel? (P.S. I know you totally read that in an announcer's voice, shame on you.))
