Bon-Bon Unboxes an Unusual
Unboxing on a Dustbowl Server
Pony roommates Lyra and Bon-Bon actively played VALVe's Team Fortress 2 together. They not only played the game because it was fun (and they liked hats.), but for their own specific reasons. Lyra liked to play with REAL humans. Bon-Bon liked the personality of the characters. One thing was missing though, Bon-Bon didn't have an unusual hat.
Lyra had an Searing Plasma Ol' Geezer AND a Green Confetti Firewall Helmet! Bon-Bon's most valuable item was a Strange Sight for Sore Eyes, not exactly worth any unusual hat.
It was a beautiful fall day outside, and it's too bad Lyra and Bon-Bon decided to waste it by playing Team Fortress 2. It was Lyra's turn to decide which server they would join. Eventually, Lyra decided that good old Dustbowl would be nice. Together they joined a server named "Skial | DUSTBOWL US."
The worst thing about Bon-Bon's Team Fortress experience was finding out about "bronies," humans who adored ponies much like herself. (They also thought that ponies were fake, thankfully!) Lyra somehow loved them even more than other humans, yet, they terrified Bon-Bon. It also freaked her out to see Lyra blowing thier cover! Lyra's name was "Lyra Heartstrings," and her avatar was artwork of her! If you're supposed to be undercover from aliens who freakishly love you, your friends, your family, and your hometown you REALLY shouldn't change your virtual name to your own. Bon-Bon's name was a much more secure "AL29467" The worst part was that Lyra talked to them with her own voice! She had nightmares of a brony coming over for dinner. Lyra probably fantasized about having one over for dinner.
Now on the server, Bon-Bon selected RED while Lyra chose BLU. It was the final stage and BLU had already captured the first point. Bon-Bon chose to play as Demoman and quickly took on making a sticky bomb trap. From across the room Bon-Bon noticed Lyra blushing and heard her say, "Thanks," into the mic. She looked down at chat and saw a freak named "BL Nℴrfℴlk Terrier♥Lyra" had told Lyra about how she was his favorite pony. He even had a picutre of Lyra for hi-
Time to move on now, Bon-Bon. Pretend there was never any alien freak obsessing over your roommate! she thought. Attempting to change the subject in her mind, Bon-Bon decided to do something not many players enjoyed doing, except for a select few like Lyra and herself. Unboxing, of course!
"Hey Lyra, can I add some bits to my Steam Wallet?" Bon-Bon said to Lyra, who was only a few feet away from her.
"Sure thing, I don't care,'" Lyra replied.
Bon-Bon navigated to the Mann Co. store and purchased two new shiny fall keys for the new crates. First off, Fall 2013 (What is so special about 2013?) Gourd Crate, series 73. Sweating, Bon-Bon selected the key and the crate. The nervous mare waited as the short, yet tense, countdown began.

The earth pony sighed a sigh of relief, a good hat! Time to unbox the next crate, she had an eye on something for the Sniper. Less worried, having reminded herself there are no one scrap stranges in the crate, proceeded to unbox.

She made a noise that might as well've made been by a filly disorted to a pitch 5 times higher. Lyra was shocked and rather jealous. Responses from text and voice chat flew in a moment afterward.
"NICE UNBOX DUDE!"
"What effect?"
"Lucky!"
"My best unbox was a strange knife D:<"
"Can you put it on? I really want to see the effect."
Bon-Bon put on the valuable hat and switched to Soldier. She thought it was a wonderful hat, liked she'd always imagined her unusual hat as. Not to mention, she was also pretty glad it wasn't a Nuts'n'Bolts C'oupe D'isaster.
