There was a time when Equestria was a safe and peaceful place, that time is gone. The ponies rally behind Princess Luna's last hope for Equestria, 'The X-Com Project.' But will it be enough? Will Friendship and Harmony triumph?

This story is loosely based off an 'X-Com Enemy Unknown' 'iron man' (No Quicksaves) play-through where I named the soldiers after a collection of my favorite background/side ponies. Behold a story where no pony is safe from death, behold a story where fate decided which ponies would stand up against the aliens and which ones would run at the sight of them.
With a unique plot different to 'X-Com Enemy Unknown' and enthralling side plots, this story promises to keep you entertained from beginning to end.
This is the story of those ponies who stood up against the aliens, this is the story of the ponies who gave up everything they had to defend Equestria.
