"Ha, ha, ha, ha! You're a blank flank!"
This is what a normal filly pegasus Peppermint Creme hears every day.
She's pretty for a filly, with a sideswept red and white mane always ending up in curls, and a creamy white coat and shiny maroon eyes.
But her flank ruined all of that.
All of it.
Everyday, she comes into school saying "I'll show everypony I'm no blank flank!"
And she comes out feeling like a outcast.
This innocent little pegasus grew up in Fillydelphia, and everyone treated her well. Her mom and dad were French chefs, one being a famous unicorn baker and the other being a fantastic pegasus party planner.
But that all changed...
She could remember that day clearly well.
Blazing flames blasted into the city and the billowing smoke made her eyes water as she ran out the door. She wanted to wait for her parents to get out first, the flames were almost touching the little cottage and she wanted to sacrifice her life for them.
But, they shoved her out the door and whispered the words Peppermint Creme will never forget;
"Don't lose yourself for us.. Go, go to the place called Equestria in a pegasi town known as Cloudsdale. They will treat you well."
She fought back her watery tears and cried out: "b-but...mother...father....you have to come with me then! Mom can live with me and dad can work below, and we all can be one....happy....family......."
Her resistance of tears fell to a zero and she gripped her hooves on her parents and tried to fly. She knew her tiny wings wouldn't be able to take the pressure of two adult ponies but she also knew the flames would kill her and her parents any second.
She struggled, and struggled, and struggled, when suddenly she lost herself, and she knew it was the end of her and her parents.
Suddenly, a blur of black and green zipped past her. Then a whole swarm of them flew and picked her up unknowingly along with her parents. Suddenly the groups seperated and she was alone without her mom and dad...again.
When she was dropped onto a huge cloud by the speed of the swarm , she heard a voice;
"You're luck I decided not to feed on you."
Then she looked down and up to see pegasi fluttering around and circling her.
"Who's this?"
"How'd she get 'ere?"
"Should we take her home?"
Then she realized where she was.
This was Cloudsdale.
