Load Full StoryNext ChapterToday was sunny, a perfect day for the party pony Pinkie Pie to go an a walk. She waved hello to every pony she saw, but something, no, somePONY caught her eye. She was reluctant to go look, the noise coming from an alley, but it was a pony who needed a smile! As she walked in she yelled "Hello! Anypony here?" But there was no response, and the sobbing stopped. She was determined to find the pony. She walked to the end of the alley. "Rats. Woah, wait!" There was a corner. A goal on her mind, to find the sad pony, she turned it, and what she saw made her day a little less happy. It was a small filly, no more than four. "Hey there, what's got ya' down kid?" Pinkie asked, a reassuring look on her face.
"I d-don't wanna go b-b-back! It's too h-h-horrible th-there! Y-you're not g-gonna take me b-back, are you?" The filly asked between sobs. She looked like she was just beaten. It made Pinkie feel horrible.
"Of course not, why would I? If it makes you unhappy, then don't go back." She smiled and said. "My name is Pinkie Pie, and I am here to say, I'm gonna make you smile and I will brighten up your day. It doesn't matter now, if you are sad or blue. 'Cause cheering up my friends is just what Pinkie's here to do. 'Cause I love to see you smile smile smile, yes I do. It fills my heart with sunshine all the while, yes it does. Just give me one joyful grin grin grin, and you fill me with good cheer." She sang sweetly to the child. That really seemed to help because the little filly looked a lot happier. "Let's take you to Sugar cube corner and get you cleaned up. If we're lucky, Mr. and Mrs. Cake will let me keep you while I find a place for you to stay." The filly looked thrilled to hear that.
Mrs. Cake was the one who had to approve, and it took some convincing, but she let Pinkie keep the child for no more than a month.
