The maid and the prince
The maid (Part 1)
Load Full StoryNext ChapterI yawned as I headed into work, the days were slowly piling on-top of me. When I first got this job, it was just for a little bit of income to support my dream, but with that out the window what am I left with? This stupid job. Grabbing my key card I swiped in, not a minuet late as usual, though if I had the change I would have gladly taken an extra five minuets nap-time.
"Oooh, good morning Rainbow Dash, boss said she wants you up in the master suite today!" I groaned waving my hand toward
Pinkie Pie as I made my way to the employee elevator. When I first became friends with Pinkie I never understood how she went from being in her bakery to the hotel, or even why she did it. That was until she told me that she worked partly in the kitchens here since she always had the spare-time. Her business was know all over, and everybody knew about her shop, the best around.
"Oh Pinkie, did she say why? She never usually lets me up there because of my unprofessional look"
She shrugged and bounded down the hall, shaking my head I entered the elevator. I stood my eyes focused on the light above the door waiting for the "ding" to tell me I could get out and get today over. Soon it did go off and I went strait to the bosses office. I don't know her name, all I do is call her boss, she has pale skin and grey looking hair. She had yellow glasses that balanced on her nose and framed her purple eyes.
"Boss" I said, standing in-front of her desk, she looked up from her papers only to look back down and grab a set containing today's mission. I looked down confused.
"Before you say anything, I want you to do it because your quick. There is a prince and his sister coming to stay at the hotel and I want the room sparkling by the time they come, you have the full day to get it done. If it wasn't for the party today the time would be cut even shorter. I trust you Rainbow. Don't let me down."
I let my mouth hang open for a second before giving a small salute and heading back to the elevator, pressing the only pretty button "Double-suite". Not many of the staff were allowed to even tough the button, it was the only place where the high raking staff could go into, and today that luxury was mine. As soon as the elevator stopped I could see why, everything was perfectly decorated buy there was stuff for me to fix? Gold and white was everywhere with the odd part here and there of another colour to break it up. I gazed around the hallway heaving a sigh before looking down at me sheet.
Rainbow Dash
The couple here today are a prince and Princess, they are siblings and require the same standard in both their rooms.
Everything need to be immaculate, no pillow out of place!
Do all your regular jobs, and make sure they are perfect. Beds, tables, chairs and all the other simple tasks must not be forgotten.
I have been told they like apples, so see it fit to have a bowl waiting for them - only the best of course - and then your task will be done.
If you get this done right and on time, expect triple your normal pay at the end of the week.
-Boss
Placing the paper on the poshest table I had seen, I decided on doing the simple things first. Clicking my fingers I headed toward the first bedroom, looking at the walls as I went, this was one of three suites that was decorated to look like a palace. The hotel wasn't as posh or fancy as most, but for a few selected bunch, this was perfect to them, not too over the top, yet still high-classed enough for them. If my flat ever looked this good it would be the work of a miracle.
I looked around the room, this was larger of the two, I think this would be the prince's choice. I started with the simple things. Making the bed, arranging the furniture and making sure if any dust was seen that is was to be cleaned on sight. Before long I was done, I was the fastest girl on the job. I spend most of my time in the common rooms, because they don't look down their noses at the way I choose to present myself. Man people have they hair dyed, even that high-class teacher Twilight is always taking about does, but somehow the fact I like mine to resemble my name means nothing. I glanced up at the clock.
"Yes, lunch time" I made my way out of the now perfect room, with only two left I was sure to be done before I even needed to be. I waited for the elevator, looking to see that the closed doors were painted to match the rest of the decorations. I tapped on the up button before tapping my foortirritably at how slow it was. I guess not being used as much could be the reason. Soon it had arrived just as the yawn escaped me. I headed in and pressed the green "Staff" button waiting to get the glorious food that wold be waiting, maybe even a special cup cake from Pinkie.
"Hey Rainbow, I saved you one of my cup cakes, I need to go and bake the rest of the cakes for my part see you there!"
"Whoa, your party, and why will I be there?" She just grinned at me and skipped of leaving a bed feeling in my stomach, I defiantly would not fit in with this kind of party. Pushing that though aside I went strait to the kitchen to grab my food, leaving a request for the best bowl of apple to be sent up to my suite as I took my food and sat down. Boss came in briefly nodded at me and carried on with her work, I guess that meant she must have taken a peek at what I'd done...
