I woke to find myself sleeping in the wrong part of the bed, blinking, I saw my feet rested on the pillow with my head against the bottom. I took a quick inhale, unhappy with how I'd slept, but a sweet smell hit me. I looked down, to see I was cuddling the jacket that Mac had let me borrow. Jumping up I pushed it away from me. The blankets fell of my waist as I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes I turned to look at my clock. 9:00 Well, at least I don't have work today, thankful that my boss didn't want to come come in after a night out, especially with the girls. I rolled over, now lying the right way around, my ceiling now seeming to be so interesting. The growling in my stomach soon told me I had to get up, no matter how much I wanted to stay in bed. I dragged my feet into the kitchen, almost like a zombie. I grabbed the first thing that was edible and suitable for breakfast and started to eat it, feeling better than I usually do. Maybe because I didn't drink as much? Shrugging I finished my breakfast went back to my bedroom, I guess I better dress myself. I groaned, my closet didn't consist of much I wasn't a dressy person. Jeans a T-shit and a hoodie do my just fine, but I need to get out today ... after I shower. Leaving the clothes where they were I took a quick shower, enjoying the warm water wash over me. I dried myself with the last towel on the rack, uch I might be a maid but I'm to lazy to clean my own home. I was just about to go into my room to get dressed the the sound of my phone made me fetch it, I glanced at the caller ID before picking up.

"Yes Fluttershy?"

"Oh um, hi Rainbow, um, wow your awake in the morning."

"Yes, whats the matter?" They all though I wasn't awake, but I was, I just didn't want to answer calls in the morning, unless it was important.

"Well um, I saw Scootaloo this pass my shop ... she seemed really upset. I was about to go out but she um, ran away from me." Now, I'm not soft in the slightest, but I've known the kid since she was young, and she considered me her idol. In high school I was good at a few things, but my passion was driving. I wanted to be a racer. So did she.

"How long ago was this?" I walked into my room, holding my phone between my head and shoulder, as I dressed myself.

"Oh, um about five minuets ago, I though I better call you first."

"I'll be there as soon as I can be, wait by your door to tell me what way she went."

"Oh, ok Rainbow" Ending the call I grabbed my keys from where I left them and headed strait out, locking the door behind me.

Soon enough I was at Shy's shop, it was far from my place, but If I needed to I could get there fast. She waited outside for me, waving my way.

"That way, oh I do hope you find her." Nodding, I ran in that direction, getting a good look at the streets until it hit me, when she used to feel sad she'd go to the place I used to race. Dodging people, I got there as quickly as I could, and sure enough she was sat on a bench hunched over, her body shaking. I walked to her, regaining my breath, before sitting next to her.

"Whats up kid?" She looked at me, with tears in her eyes.

"My parents don't understand" I frowned at her.

"What do you mean?" She took a long shaky breath.

"I told them I wanted to go into a real driving school, be on TV be famous, and-and they just, they just" She burst into tears, her head falling onto my chest, I held her, wondering on how I could help.

"Wait, I think I still know somebody that talent scouts, want me to to leave them a message." She slowly sat up, sniffing she nodded.

"How will I find them?"

"You don't, but, if you make sure you practice right here everyday, one day that will see you." She hugged me again, this time happily, before sitting back a grin on her face.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you." She bounced on the bench. "Your the best Rainbow Dash."

"Yeah, I am pretty awesome." I mussed her hair before leaning back, glad to know I made her feel a little better, even if her parents sucked. She smiled before looking in the distance, her eyes focusing on somebody.

"Um Rainbow, it's been a long long time since you were in High school, but is that Apple Jack? Is Apple Bloom here?" Here eyes went wide, as she stood up, waving wildly. I turned around, and sure enough it was Apple Jack, and she didn't look to happy.

"Ah'm mighty glad to see ya'll I've been chased by so many people today to get pictures, can't a girl get a break." I laughed shaking my head, before handing Scootaloo the spare tissue from my pocket, she took it quickly to wipe away all her tears before talking.

"Um, princess Apple Jack, is Apple Bloom with you?" AJ looked at her, frowning.

"Why were ya crying?" She sniffed before kicking the floor with her foot.

"My parents don't want me to do what I want, so Rainbow came to help me. How did you know I was here anyway?"

"Shy said she saw you run past her shop, so I came to make sure you were ok. Apple Bloom?" AJ shook her head.

"You don't need to call me princess, Apple Jack is just fine, I'm sorry, but Apple Bloom is still at her private school, they want her to loose the accent we have, it's too late for me and Mac to loose it. Not that he cares."

"What do you mean he doesn't care?"

"About it all, he's happy to have it all but he doesn't care about keeping the family accent, he only ever says two words any he always says them the same way." I chuckled, glancing at Scootaloo. She looked at her phone a sighed.

"Parents?" She nodded.

"They want me home to talk, I better go, thanks for everything Rainbow"

"Your welcome squirt, don't let them get you down, your sixteen, you have a long time" She smiled before heading off down the dirt path, a small spring in her step. I watched her until AJ snickered.

"What?" I asked looking at her.

"You, I never took you for the motherly type-"

"Neither did ah" We both jumped, looking at the the trees in front of us, soon Mac stepped out, a blank look on his face.

"What in tarnation, how long have you been standing there Macintosh Apple?" He shrugged, staring at us. I looked down at my clothes, feeling like I was in rags compared to their crisp clean clothes. Clearing my throat I stood up.

"I'm not AJ, just being loyal to a friend, anyway I better go ... she's the only reason I was here anyway." I looked at the track, heaving a sigh, I really did miss driving here, the wing in my hair, the rush of speed. Some thing just aren't meant to be.

"Could ya'll least stay a little longer, before all the camera's come again?" I turned around and shook me head.

"No, I really should go, unless you want to come to my place, I warm you it looks like a bomb full of my stuff exploded inside" She blinked at me.

"You have a house?"

"No, a flat, has all the space I need. So?" She nodded, turning to Mac

"You can go back to the hotel and stop following me."

"Nope" I turned to look at him

"Fine come, you can get your suit jacket while your at it, then you can leave, I'd like to do some catching up with her when I'm not drunk and she doesn't have to disappear every five minuets" He looked momentarily shocked, before taking a step toward us.

"Wow Rainbow, where did that come from?" I shrugged, and began the quickest route home, making occasional small talk with AJ

"Here we are, my flats that one" I pointed up, it was on the 2nd floor, I wished that it was much higher up, but at least it wasn't on the ground floor.

"I bet the rent cost is high, this place is pretty" She looked around at the street, before following me.

"No, I own it, just need to pay the regular bills, though they suck. I guess you don't have to worry about them." I unlocked my door letting them in, glad that I keep the main room and kitchen relatively tidy.

"No, but its not as easy either, since we know other people pay our bills, I hate it, I prefer to work for it. Honestly like people should do."

"Can you refuse the crown or anything, or make new laws?" She nodded

"We could, but the people next in line are just horrible, ah ain't never seen such a stuck up person in my life, I'm still not old enough to make new laws, he is, but refuses to be the one everybody blames." I went into my room, grabbing his suit jacket and bringing it out to him.

"Here, take it and go" I avoided looking at him, still feeling awkward about the whole of last night, and this morning. He moved toward me, taking it from my hand. His skin brushed against mine, feeling like a spark jumped across my skin a flinched backward, as did he, my heart skipping a beat. I avoided looking at him before weakly pointing at the door.

"Nope, ah'd like to catch up too, please." I stepped away from him, my hand felt like pins and needles, but nicer. I waved

toward my sofa, stepping back to avoid touching him again, as my heat began to calm down.

I sat on the seat across from them, now not knowing what to say .. why did I even suggest this? I can't talk about work ... all they can talk about is being a royal.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

"Are you single" Well AJ doesn't wait for the punch, I sighed, leaning back into the chair.

"Yep, I'm not dating material so I gave up."The pair exchanged lookes before she carried on, I guess this is drill Rainbow Dash day.

"Anybody you like?" I sat for a second, as my stomach felt like a knot, I better stay honest, but I don't need to tell the full truth right?

"One, but theres no way he'd look at me without seeing what I see, plain Rainbow Dash"

"Rainbow, I may have been away for a while, but your not plain, in high school ever guy wanted to be your girlfriend, but you turned them down, you never said why"

"I liked a guy, who as far as I could tell didn't like me." She frowned, before asking for more.

"Who was he? What did he look like?"

"I don't know his name, you knew him, he had light drown hair, always always wearing jeans and one of those thin plaid jackets, tall, quite skinny, green eyes. Was on the football team, used to walk the same way home as you, but always with a few boys behind you and Shy..." Her eyes went wide the more I said, while Mac stared at me. "What?"

"Really, you didn't know that Macintosh was Macintosh?" I blinked, frowning.

"That wasn't you brother, Mac was still but in high school..."

"No ah wasn't, I was small, wasn't until I started work on the farm that I filled out ... you ... you had a rush on me?" I felt frozen, my eyes wide, no way.

"How could, you would, but I, what?" Apple Jack let out booming laughter.

"So, you were the only one who didn't know, I thought I told ya'll he was ma brother? Or was it when you were in cheer practice? So ... you like Macintosh eh." I felt the blush rise to my cheeks, before I lent forward with my head in my hand. There is no way this is happening, crushing on him twice oh no.

"Rainbow are you OK?"

"No" I muffled out refusing to let my head out of my hand, I listened to how silent he was being before I heard a small smack. I looked up a little to see she'd hit her leg and was grinning at Mac

"So, that mystery girl you were talking about didn't happen to be Rainbow did it?" I saw him gulp, his eyes flashed to mind before he groaned leaning back.

"Seriously, I find out now you liked me, I would have asked you out, but since you rejected everybody I though I didn't stand a chance." My head flew out of my hands, I looked at him shock written all over my face. He stared back at me, his eyes sparkling. His eyes, I knew they were familiar, why they felt like I was being sucked into a pool of emeralds.

"At the dance you knew who I was, why didn't you say anything!"

"I didn't know you were single!"

"Really, you didn't even ask, don't you think  would have brought a date is I wasn't single?" He opened his mouth to speak but closed it again, not having the right answer.

"Wow, I though you two'd be kissing about now not yelling." We both turned to AJ with un-impressed looks. "Fine, want me to leave so you can talk it out?"

"No, no just ... I think you both better go, feel free to use my phone to call your car. I need a minuet." I put my phone on the table and waled to the small balcony I had. He liked me, he likes me? I rested my head against the cool metal, trying to cool myself down, the sound of hushed voices in my ears. Soon I heard steps behind me

"AJ's going home, I think we need to have a chat..."
