The morning greeted me with shining sun when I awoke. I packed up my tent and resumed my hike back to Elektro. At first glance it didn’t look like anything had changed over night, including the amount of infected. As the town got closer something seemed different, I saw a dead infected outside the fire station. Maybe theres somepony inside that can help me. Two figures emerged from the building wearing some type of cloth over their faces. Huh, must have got cold last night or something.
“Hey over here, can you guys give me a lift?”
They looked at me and said something to each other, then they raised their gus. I dove behind a car as they opened fire. What the hell? I loaded my rifle and was preparing to take aim when I heard a loud bang ring out. I dared to peek out from my hiding place and found that one of the figures had dropped. Where did that come from. I took aim at the remaining colt, as he was now running for cover, but before I could fire the unknown shooter beat me to it. Who did that? I can't stay here, I have to move. I got up and sprinted to the nearest car and dove behind it. A shot had not gone off. Alright, I’m fine, now the next car. The next car was down the road a bit further. I repeated the process until I was behind a building that covered me from the snipers sights. That was strange, he didn't fire a single shot. I have to get to my bus and get the hell outta dodge.
I returned to my bus and began putting parts on it. I took the extra wheels out of it and attached them to the bus. Then I managed to get under the bus and attach the new fuel tank. Once everything was fixed I emptied the jerry can into the bus and sat in the drivers seat. Buck. I face hoofed. How could I forget to check for a key. I hope hotwiring a bus is the same as a car. I opened the compartment containing the mechanics for the steering wheel. Skills, don’t fail me now. I found two wires, crossed my fingers, and touched them together. I almost fell backwards when the engine roared to life. Yes! Thank you Rumble. I put the bus in reverse and began to back onto the main road. I shifted the bus into first and took off down the coast.
Once I was out of the town I looked at the map to find any towns that might be worth looking for loot. I saw what looked like a construction site labeled factory on the map, it was between two towns called Orlevets and Polana. I can stop there for some extra parts. I continued to survey the map and found a large town called Berezino. That might have something of value. I started driving to the construction site first.
The roads were littered with bodies and broken cars. As my bus sped down the road I neared the turnoff to head to the construction site. I stopped when I arrived at the compound, it bared a striking resemblance to the site in chernogorsk, except it was surrounded by walls and various other sheds. I pulled my bus inside and disembarked. Next to the entrance there was some sort of military booth, there were two mags for my rifle and some sort of black flashlight, it had a red light and seemed like it would be rather harder for ponies to spot at night. I began checking the sheds and moved on to the main building.
Well I should have enough parts for this bus and then some. I decided it was time to go to the town.
When I arrived at the town I Stopped a ways outside. I climbed to the top of a hill to survey the town. I took out my binoculars and began to scan the area. There were some infected in town but I thought nothing of it. I got in my bus and drove it into town. I stopped near the center and unloaded anything I didn't need to carry. I went in and looted anything of value and left. There were big tents near the hospital and I went to go investigate. In the first tent I found an mp5 and a few mags for it. I checked the rest and didn't find anything until I got to the the last. NIce, i've always wanted a sniper. In the last tent there was an m24 military grade marksman rifle.
Where should I go next? It looked like there there was an airstrip to the west called bolata. Maybe I can find some way to get help there, at the very least maybe somepony that doesn't want to kill me. And with that I decided to head to bolata. When I went back to my bus all the tires were slashed. Fuck, why does this shit always happen to me? I raised my rifle and began to look around. “Who’s there?” Nopony replied. “I’m not joking, you better come out wherever you are.” I searched for about twenty minutes and didn’t find anything. I had two spare wheels but all of my tires were slashed. Well isn’t this fan fucking tastic, I guess I’d better take what I can with me to find more wheels. I left nothing on the bus but a few cans of food and water.
It took me almost two hours to find more wheels and walk back. Oh when I find the guy that did this, he is so dead. I’d had more than a few close calls trying to find the parts I needed. I Went back to my bus and checked what was missing, not to my surprise half of the food and water was gone but not all of it. I put the rest of my gear into the bus and began to replace the tires. Once everything was fixed I started the engine and drove in the direction of Bolata.
The drive was going to be long and my bus was beginning to run low on fuel. I stopped in a town called Solnichiny to refuel. With nothing but a jerry can the process was a bit tedious but it was worth it for a working vehicle. After I finished refueling I went down the road again.
It had been a long drive time but I was finally through Cherno and was almost to bolata. I was driving peacefully until two colts jumped in front of my bus pointing m16’s at me. I slammed on my breaks and came to a stop.
“Step out of the bus slowly.” One said.
I did what he said. The other one said something into his collar. More ponies began to rise from the ditch and forest all holding rifles.
“What do you want from me?”
One of them began to answer me but I didn’t hear him before the but of a gun met my face. I met darkness as I lost consciousness.
Author's Note
sorry for the short chapter, I just got my computer fixed and wanted to get something out. I hope yo uenjoy and the next chapter will be out soon, happy holidays everypony
I woke up laying in a cot with a bandage on my forehead. I touched my head. Fuck that hurts. I feel like I was hit in the head with the but of an m16, oh wait thats right. My head was throbbing, I tried to get up but didn't have the energy. A red unicorn mare wearing a doctors coat walked into the room.
“Good to see you're alright, sorry about the head, the boys never like to take chances.”
“Where am I?”
“You're in the med bay of our camp.”
“How did I get here?”
“When our scouts saw you at Solnichiny they followed you to see if you would be a threat. you seem to handle yourself pretty well out there.”
“Why did your scouts bring me here then.”
“They thought you were getting to close to Balota airstrip.”
“Whats wrong with Balota.”
“It’s what we refer to as, ground zero.”
“what do you mean ground zero?”
“Balota was one of the original places where the infection broke out. The military went in and tried to contain the area but that just made things worse. Now if you don’t mind I need to take some tests to see if your alright. First what's your name?”
“Lieutenant Storm L. Chaser of the Equestrian air force.”
“So you're in the military then, how did you not know about the outbreak”
“To be honest I can't really remember how I got here other than waking up on a beach two days ago.”
“Strange, you must have some sort of amnesia. Well other than that you should be good, feel free to look around outside.”
“Alright, oh wait I didn't get your name.”
“It's Star Mist, but most ponies call me Stary for short.”
“Well I’ll see you later then Stary.”
I opened the door of the small medical bay to be greeted with a rush of fresh air. I walked outside and saw what seemed like a safe haven from the shit storm around me. This place is amazing. There were plants growing in rusted out car wheels and tires and there were large containers filled with water. There were walls surrounding the area with small huts along them. There was a shed with a sign labeled “ammo cache”. There was a clear area with a large white H. There's no way they have a helicopter. Over near the clearing was a large building with a sign labeled “garage”. While I was gawking at the camp before me, a black pegasus stallion walked out of the shack behind me.
“You must be the colt our boys knocked over the head down near ground zero.”
“Yeah thats me, it hurts like hell too.”
“Sorry about that we didn't want to take any risks, the names Thunderlane, sergeant first class of the Equestrian armed forces.”
“No shit, Lieutenant Storm chaser of the Equestrian air force. Nice to meet you”
“As to you, I’m the guy that makes things tick around here.”
“It’s a pretty nice setup you have here.”
“So then storm, what do you specialize in.”
“Air reconnaissance, and I could fly a helo blindfolded.”
“Well I’m glad to hear that, our pilot should be here shortly.”
I could hear a distant buzzing of a motor. I saw a black dot that began to get bigger. Soon it was close enough to be recognized as an AH-6 littlebird. The helicopter began to decrease speed and altitude. Eventually it began to hover and lower into the camp. When it touched ground I heard the sound of the engine die and a yellow pegasus mare with an orange mane stepped out. Thunderlane stepped forward.
“Hey S.F. we got a co-pilot for you.”
The mare started talking to Thunderlane. I didn't hear much of what they said, I was too busy admiring the look of the angle that was in front of me.I have died and gone to heaven. My wings shot straight up. The helicopter looked perfect from top to bottom. The mare walked up to me.
“Shes a beauty ain't she.”
“Yes she is.”
“Just remember though shes my baby so if you touch her I’ll have to kill you.”
“Yes mam.”
The mare walked away and Thunderlane walked over.
“Thats Spitfire, most of us just call her S.F. Don’t let her get to you, she may be a hard case but shes not a bad mare. She said shes gonna show you the ropes when shes done debriefing.”
“The ropes of what may I ask.”
“The ropes to flying that thing.”
“I think if I can emergency land a ch-47 without a scratch I can handle a littlebird”
“Yeah but if you want to live I wouldn't argue with her, trust me.”
There was a loud rumbling noise.
“You must be hungry, you've been out for almost fourteen hours, here.”
He tossed me a square brown bag labeled MRE and a green canteen.
“Thanks man.”
“Don’t mention it.”
I opened the bag and began to follow the instructions. The main course was dandelion hot dish. I opened the heating pouch, put in some water and placed in the bag to cook. While I was waiting I opened up a small bag labeled biscuit, but it looked like an oversized saltine cracker. There was a pouch of brown powder labeled “Raspberry Tea” which I poured into the remainder of water in my canteen. I checked my watch and saw that my meal was done. I took it out, opened it, and took a bite. Ah, same shit look, same great taste. After I finished my food it dawned upon me that I was missing my gear and my vehicle. I went to find Thunderlane. After a few minutes of searching I found him out near the garage.
“Hey thunder, I got a question for you.”
“Alright shoot.”
“What did you do with my bus and my stuff.”
“We have your bus in the garage along with anything you had in it. you're free to go in and get your stuff at any time.”
“Ok then, if you’ll excuse me for just one moment.”
I walked into the garage and found my bus. There was an amazing collection of vehicles. There were a few normal cars, a uaz, and even a HMMWV GPK along with a few other vehicles. I went to the storage of my bus and found my gear. I took my revolver, some food, a map, and left the rest to get later. Once I was satisfied with what I had I walked out of the garage.
“Alright, where's Spitfire, I’m ready to get flying.”
“She’s almost done talking to our quote on quote “leader”.”
“I thought you said you made things tick things around here.”
“I do but i'm not exactly in charge, I just handle the grunt work. I’m more so second in command.”
“So when do I get to meet this leader?”
“I don’t know, I’ll see what I can arrange while you're in the air.”
Spitfire came out of the large building in front of us holding a pilot's helmet and flight suit. she tossed them to me.
“Suit up, its time to fly.”
“Finally.”
I went into the shack next to me and started to change. I slipped my legs into the suit and pulled up the rest. There were two holes in the back which I slid my wings through. I pulled up the sleeves and put my arms through. The suit fit perfectly. It was warm, most likely for temperature control in an open cockpit. I slid on the pilot's helmet and put up the visor. I opened the door and walked out of the shack.
“It suits you.” said Spitfire.
“Thanks, its a great fit.”
“Alright lets get flying.”
We walked over to the helicopter and Spitfire got into the pilots seat. I got into the co-pilots seat.
“Alright from what I heard you’re an experienced pilot, so show me what you've got.”
I looked around for a minute familiarizing myself with the controls. I looked down and held the starter, there was a constant clicking sound which was normal for most helos. The rotors began to spin and I released the starter. I did some system checks while I waited for the rotors to reach full speed. As the noise of the chopper grew louder Spitfire motioned for me to pull down the microphone of the helmet. I pulled it down and heard a click through the speakers in the helmet. Spitfire’s voice came through the speaker.
“Alright successful startup, now give her some lift.”
I pulled up on the collective and the helicopter began to rise. As we raised higher and higher out of the camp I began to see more of what was around. There was a lake near the entrance and there was a forest to the north of the camp.
“Where to miss Spitfire.”
“Head towards the east to balota. Believe it or not we were trying to help you, trust me.”
I pushed on the foot pedals and rotated the chopper to the east then tilted the chopper forward and flew in that direction. We flew for about an hour until I could see the end of the airfield. We flew over and I saw nothing.
“Ground zero huh.” I said in a mocking voice.
“Make another pass.”
I turned the heli and went to make another pass. This time when I flew over there were hundreds of infected. they were all trying to follow the helicopter. They were emerging from buildings at a rapid rate.
“Well then, I’ll just shut up now.”
We flew in silence back in the direction of the base. We had been flying for about an hour when something happened. Spitfire was the first to notice.
“Whats that sound.” She asked.
I looked to my left and saw the projectile coming towards us. It was a yellow ball of light with a white smoke trail following it. Before Spitfire could say anything I pushed forward on the stick and put the heli in a half nose dive. The rocket missed the tail by inches as I tried to fly away. Soon after the rocket missed, gunfire erupted from the treeline. I heard metal meet metal as shots pinged off the chopper. I heard another round of shots ricochet off the hull. The sound of the engine began to die and the chopper started losing altitude.
“We just lost all power, one of those fuckers must have hit the engine. I’m gonna have to autorotate.”
I pulled the helicopter up and began to decrease altitude. I held the chopper level until I was close enough to the ground to put it down. The helicopter bounced on the ground and skidded to a halt.
“You alright” I said.
“I'll manage. The better question is how the hell are we gonna get back to camp now?”
“We hoof it the old fashion way.”
“Tell that to them.”
There were silhouettes rising from the hill. I pulled out my revolver and took aim.
“You’re gonna need more than that.”
She opened a hatch on the helicopter and pulled out an m16 and tossed it to me along with a few mags. She pulled out another for herself.
“Where did you get those?”
“I always come prepared.”
I took aim at the group approaching us and fired. I hit my target and one dropped. Spitfire did the same and soon we were in a firefight using the disabled helicopter as cover. More targets approached and we were running low on ammo. I opened fire on another group of targets until I heard a depressing click.
“I’m out, how many rounds you got left.”
“I’d say about half a mag.”
“I’m gonna run to that rock behind us, you cover me then I’ll cover you with my revolver and we can escape in the woods.”
“Alright, run on three. one…….two……..THREE!”
As soon as she said three I bolted out from behind the helicopter and ran for the large rock. About halfway to the rock I stumbled on an upturned root and dropped the gun. I had no time to stop and kept running till I was behind the rock.
“I dropped the gun.”
“What are we gonna do now?”
Before I could answer a large explosion erupted from the other side of the clearing.
“Go!”
Spitfire ran from behind the helicopter and towards the rock. While she was running she picked up the revolver and tossed it to me. When she got to the rock we kept running into the woods. The sound of gunfire began to grow faint.
“Who did that?” Spitfire asked.
“I haven't the slightest clue, but whoever it was, they saved our asses.”
“Guess you’re right there. But who was that shooting at us?”
“Again I haven't the slightest but they almost had us.”
We walked for an hour before we found a town. We stopped at the edge before continuing. I heard a rumbling sound from behind me.
“You hungry?”
“Starving, don’t suppose you brought anything other than that revolver?”
“Think fast.”
I tossed a can of beans to Spitfire.
“Thanks, uh you got a can opener.”
I tossed her the can opener.
“I thought you said you always come prepared.”
She said nothing. I pulled out a can of r4z0r and muffins for myself. Once we were done we moved into the town. We searched the town until we found enough supplies to survive the trip back to the camp. The sun was starting to go down. We found a tent in the store.
“It’s getting dark.” I said.
“Flip down your visor and press the button on the side.”
I flipped down my visor and felt for a button. After a few seconds of searching I found the button and pressed it. My visor flashed to life as a night vision hud came up.
“Nice, but were gonna have to stop somewhere for the night, the infected are in higher numbers at night.”
“Fine, we’ll stop somewhere.”
The last sliver of light disappeared over the horizon when we found a flat patch of land to make camp. I started to pitch the tent as spitfire watched around for anything suspicious.
“Done.”
We crawled into the tent and lay down. I fell asleep before my head hit the ground.
Author's Note
And with that I conclude my third chapter. Sadly this story will be going on hiatus fot the tim ebeing because of schoolwork and some other things happening in my life right now. hope for things to be coming back soon but I cant say
I woke up to the top of the green tent. I looked around but Spitfire was nowhere to be seen. I wonder where she went. I got up, pulled up my pack and grabbed my helmet. I walked out of the tent and began to pack up. Once I was finished I slid on my helmet and pulled down the radio.
“Spitfire, you there?” I heard nothing but static.
“Spitfire, come in spitfire.” I began to hear a voice.
“Will you shut up, I’ll talk to you when I get back. Just stay there.”
I sat at the camp for about a half hour before Spitfire returned. When she got back I was eating a can of beans.
“So how did you sleep.” She said.
“Not bad, you?”
“Like a foal, now follow me I’ve got something to show you.”
I got up and followed her until we came to a cliff. I began to walk towards it until she threw me to the ground.
“What was that for?”
She pointed off the edge of the cliff. I peeked my head over the edge. Shit. There was a massive circle of tents as well as a few cars.
“That is a big camp.” I said.
“Yes it is. I suspect thats where the fuckers that shot us down are.”
She handed me a pair of binoculars. I held them up to my eyes and started looking. There were ponies everywhere, all wearing the same types of cloths over their faces from Elektro.
“Bandits.” She said “They all wear that cloth over their faces, I don't know why, but it creeps the hell outa me.”
“So what do we do?” I said
“You got a map?”
“Yeah.”
“Let me see it.”
She took out a pen and began scribbling on the map. She handed me back the map. There was a red X marked “Bandit camp”.
“So I’ll ask it again, what do we do?”
“We stay the hell away from it for now. When we get back to the camp we’ll tell the leader and and begin planning for an attack. The sad truth is it's the ones that aren't dead you gotta worry about most.”
We began walking back to our camp again.
“So, if you have the parts I can probably fix that heli for you. It would take a while but I could probably do it.”
“Really now, that thing was shot to shit, you sure you could do it?”
“Positive.”
We walked for hours until we came to a town called Novy Sobor. My feet were beginning to ache.
“This reminds me of this one time in boot camp this one guy started talking back to the sergeant and as punishment we all had to run around the base for the whole day.”
“Boy, that sounds like it was fun.”
"Not really."
After walking for another half hour we made it back to the camp. We were greeted by Thunderlane when we arrived.
“Storm, what the hell happened.”
“Bandits, thats what happened.”
“Shit dude, you guys alright?”
“Yeah but I wish I could say the same about the helicopter.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Well, the heli sort of broke.”
“How in the hell do you break a chopper?”
“One of the fuckers got a lucky shot to the engine block.” Spitfire jumped in. “If theres one thing I don’t like about little birds is the armor. All aside we need to speak with the leader”
Spitfire began walking towards a building in the back of the camp. I followed her. When we walked into the building my heart dropped when I saw who was standing in front of me. The very person who ran this camp was my mare friend.
“d-d-Dash?”
She stopped dead in her tracks at the sound of my voice. She turned towards me.
“Storm!”
We hugged and our lips met. Having the girl I cared about most in front of me made me almost forget about all the terrible things happening in the world.
“I thought you were dead, how did you make it out?” she asked.
“I don’t know, the last thing I remember is waking up on a beach.”
“Wait you seriously don’t remember anything?”
“no.”
“Well sit back, it’s a long story.”
--------------------------------------------------Flashback--------------------------------------------------
It was a beautiful may afternoon, the sun was high in the sky and the sound of birds chirping was in the air, the ideal clique summer setting. I was sitting on our porch next to the love of my life Rainbow Dash. I couldn't imagine being happier anywhere else. The silence was interrupted by the static of a nearby radio. I got up and picked up the radio. One of my good friends was telling me i was being called in for assistance on a hostage situation in town. I walked back over to dash.
“I gotta go, something about a hostage situation, bank robbery gone wrong i take it.”
“Do you have to go?”
“It sounded pretty serious, they're saying the national guard is involved. I’ll be home as soon as I can.”
I rushed into our bedroom and opened the closet. I put on my fatigues and body armor then rushed outside to the car. After a few minutes of driving i could see the lights of cop cars as well as a few humvees. I got out of my car and approached the commanding officer at the scene. He tossed me an M4A1 and explained what was happening. The second after he finished the street erupted in gunfire. I raised my weapon and returned fire. I felt a massive impact to my chest and fell to the ground gasping for air. As sudden as the firefight began it ended. Once i caught my breath I looked at my chest. Few, just took one to the kevlar. I got up and assured everyone that i was ok. A colt walked out of the building holding his hands up. He started reaching towards his waist, and quickly pulled out a handgun. He fired off two shots before falling to the ground. I looked down and saw that my fatigues were stained red. I unbuttoned my top and saw a bullet wound in my side. Everything went black as i lost all consciousness.
I woke up to the sound of a mare screaming. I was in a hospital bed hooked up to various machines. I pulled out the machines and got up. As soon as I got up I felt a shooting pain in my side. I looked down saw a large bandage on my side. There was a change of clothes on a chair next to my bed. I quickly changed into them and walked towards the door to my room. I opened the door to find what was left of a mre being eaten by another pony.
“What the fuck?”
It turned towards me and got up. I turned and ran down the hall. There was blood everywhere. I ran until i found a door labeled EXIT and opened it. I was showered in sunlight once i could see there were people everywhere running and yelling. I saw a soldier carrying a little girl.
“My name lieutenant Storm Chaser of the Equestrian Armed Forces. can you tell me what the hell is going on?”
He had a tone of worry in his voice.
“Theres some kind of disease going on, Ponies are eating other ponies. It’s like they aren't themselves. I need to go, I have to get my little girl to safety.”
He ran off. The first thing that popped into my head was my mare friend Dash. I started running and caught up to the soldier that was getting onto his car.
“Please, can you give me a ride, I need to see if my mare friend is ok.”
He nodded and I got in the car. I told him where I lived and he started driving.
Once we arrived I bolted out of the car and into the house to find Dash in the kitchen packing supplies. She saw me and ran into my arms.
“Thank god you’re alive. I didn't know if you would make it out alive.”
“how long have i been in the hospital.”
“You’ve been in a coma for 3 weeks. I was so worried after I heard what happened.”
“All that matters is I’m alive and we’re together. We need to get out of the city. I have a brother in Chernarus that can take us in. He has a home on the countryside, secluded. It would be perfect.”
“Alright, it’s settled then.”
We packed enough supplies to last us for awhile and got into the car. We drove for an hour until we got to the bridge that connected the island of Chernarus to Hoofington. After another hour of driving the traffic in the middle of the bridge was stopped. We got out of the car to see what was going on but couldn’t see to the front of the jam. We were sitting in lawn chairs on the road while we waited it out. I heard the sound of a semi truck horn getting closer. I looked over my shoulder to see a massive truck barrelling in our direction at a high speed. I looked at Rainbow and told her to get out of the way. I ran over to the car and started grabbing everything I could. I heard her call my name and as I looked towards her I felt the car be impacted with a tremendous force as it was shoved off the bridge and into the ocean. I started crawling out of the car and a piece of debris fell from the bridge and struck my head. Everything went dark as I felt myself being pulled by the current of the cold salty water.
Author's Note
Well i finally got another chapter out for you guys, thank you for being patient. If you guys are ever concerned on the status of the story I occasionally post status on my blog about what happening. Also, I will give a cookie to the first person to get the reference in this chapter.
I wake up to find my head throbbing, I try to survey the area but nothing looks familiar to me in the slightest. I find that I’m on the coast of Celestia knows where, I’m also wearing a backpack of some sort, in it find a flashlight, a bandage, and a box of painkillers. “Well i better get moving.” I say to myself aloud. I start to walk along the coast and see a town in the distance, it appeared to be deserted. I start to get closer and notice outlines of things on the ground. As I got closer and closer they start to look like people. “Oh my celestia.” they were bodies. Up the road I saw living ponies, “Hey over here, somepony help!” They started running, something was wrong, they were running directly at me. That was when I realized these were not ordinary ponies, as one of them began to eat the bodies more started running at me, I turned and began to run as fast as I could. I found a house to hide in but I didn't know long it would suffice, in the house I found a can of beans some flares and a can of Coke.
I left the house and started to sneak back into the town, there was wreckage and broken cars everywhere. If only I could fix one of these up. thought to myself. As I went further into the town I saw more and more buildings. there were sick ponies everywhere, it appeared to be some sort of infection that caused ponies to eat others. I found a fire station and proceeded to go into it, I found a map and a compass on the bottom floor, I went up the tower and found a pistol with one magazine. I have to make this count or else I could have every infected in town on me. I went into a shed near the fire station and found a car wheel. I didn’t have the parts to attach it to a car so I left it there. across the street there was a church, I found some more food and water but nothing else. Around the corner of the church I found a bus that looked like it might be fixable, I began to check the parts and it looked like all it needed was some wheels, a new fuel tank, and some gas. The engine and body seemed fine.
I went back to the fire station and put the wheel I previously found in the bus. The west side of the town appeared to consist of factories.Maybe I can find some more parts there. There was a port that had a cargo freighter docked at it, but I didn’t see any way to get on it. Before I can fix that bus I need to find out what town I’m in. I checked the map to try and figure out my location but it was huge. Maybe there's a sign on the edge of town. I walked into a three story building. I’ll need to find some tools as well. On the first floor I found another magazine for my weapon, and on the second floor there was a fuel tank, but I couldn't find anything else. As I began to leave I was shocked to find that a few infected had followed me into the building, I hesitated to fire but if I didn't, I would become a meal like my poor friend here. I drew my weapon, aimed, and fired. The gun made a loud crack leaving my ears ringing as I rushed past the body and out of the building. I looked behind me to see hundreds of infected running to the building, thankfully they weren't coming towards me. I went back to my bus and deposited the parts I found.
I’m going to have to walk to a different town to find more parts. I started to cautiously move out of the town to the outskirts. I found a sign with words that I couldn't decipher but one name stood out in particularly, Elektrozavodsk. I checked the map to see what I could find. It seemed like the nearest civilization was a city named Chernogorsk. I can probably find parts there. I left the town and began to walk in the direction along the coast. It’s gonna be a long walk. I began my hike of what would be roughly three miles. I hope I can get back before it gets dark. There was another car on the way, but it was too damaged to repair. Maybe I can get some parts off this. I didn't want to carry anything I didn't have to, so i left it there for the time being.
The sun was beginning to go down. Theres no way I’m getting back before dark. I could see the city now along with every zed in town. My stomach started to grumble and my throat felt dry. Better eat and drink while I still can. I opened my coke and ate some beans. I decided I might as well keep the cans in case I need them. I’ll have to find some more food and water in the city. According to the map there was a hospital, and a grocery store. Just what I need, now I just need to find a place with parts to fix the bus. I decided to hit the store first. The front room had nothing but empty cans, I checked the register and there were still some bits in it, This wont do me any good. Under the counter I found some ammunition for some sort of revolver. In the back of the store I found a can of R4z0r soda and a can of Herpy Dooves muffins. Thats right, Ditzy started a muffin company last year, I hope she’s alright. In the next room I found a revolver. let it be the same caliber. I crossed my fingers and slide the rounds into the cylinder, surprisingly they fit. I left the pistol I had before and took the revolver.
After the store was empty of anything essential I left to check the hospital for some medical supplies. In the hospital there was a box containing bandages morphine, blood bags, epi pens, and antibiotics. As I was getting ready to leave the building I began to hear gunfire. There were tons of infected running to where the shots were fired. I began to head in that direction as well to see if I could help. By the time I made it the couple that fired the shots had already perished. Celestia bless their souls. The bodies were surrounded by zeds. They seemed to have some decent gear on them. How can I get over there without alerting anypony. I wonder if I can throw those cans to distract them. Without hesitating I took a can out of my backpack and hurled it at the window of a nearby house. The window shattered with a loud crash. They started running to the house. I have to hurry, I don’t have much time. I rushed over to the bodies and took what I could, some ammunition, a rifle, and a bigger backpack. It looked like there was a construction site in the distance. Theres bound to be some parts in there. As I was beginning to leave I was knocked to the ground, I had been thrown down by a stray infected, It had broken the skin and I was bleeding. I aimed my rifle and fired, soon every zed and their mother was after me as I was running to the construction site.
The large building was beginning to get closer. I ran inside and set up a defendable position in the main stairwell. There was blood rushing from my wound so I applied a bandage to stop the bleeding. I waited for each walker to get to the top of the stairs before I fired. After I was sure that every last one was dead I started scavenging the building. I found a box of rounds for my pistol and a can containing fuel on the top floor. On the bottom floor I found another wheel and some parts for an engine. I don't need the engine but it would be nice to have in the event I find another car. Now if I can take a wheel off that car outside of town, I should be able to fix the bus. Before I left the town I checked a house that had nothing but a tent. I began my hike back to the town of Elektro.
The sun was going down and it was becoming to dark to see. I placed my pistol inside my backpack and took out my flashlight. I found the car again with ease and removed a wheel from it. I was starting to feel fatigued and needed to find a place to sleep. I figured my best bet was to camp in the woods away from the infected. I found a nice clearing to make camp and pitched my tent. I’ll have to fix the bus tomorrow. I had a long journey ahead of me and would need my rest, and with that I drifted off to sleep
