//-------------------------------------------------------// The Mysterious Letter -by Tobben- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The Sun was shining down on Twilight through the curtains which gave an annoyed groan from the sleeping alicorn. Spike was already awake and making breakfast Twilight could smell the pancakes from her bed and decided that it indeed was time to wake up. “Spike have you taken in the mail?” Twilight was asking the baby dragon as she was walking down the stairs. “Good morning Twilight, no i did not get the mail.” Spike said while he was tossing a pancake from the pan on to a plate. “You can read the mail while eating these delicious pancakes i made for you.” Walking out to the mailbox Twilight noticed that the package for the library has arrived “Ohh finally Ponyville library's copy of War and peace has arrived that’s good.” Floating the rest of the mail with her magic Twilight went in to the kitchen with the letters and started going thru them. “Bill, Newsletter, letter with rose attached to it, Another bill” Twilight went wide eyed as she went back to the letter withe the rose to it. “What is this? it is addressed to me but who sends letter’s with roses? hmm lets see what it says.” Dear Twilight Sparkle You don’t know who i’am but just know that i have recently discover my feeling for you. This feeling is Love, i really like you Twilight Sparkle and i really hope you feel the same way when i tell you who i’am but for now i’am satisfied with whatsing (yes i know thats not creepy). I will send you a letter each week until i’am ready to reveal myself so for now my love i have to say bye because this letter is getting long. ~Your for now secret admirer~ Twilight was looking at the letter and read it several times to process what she just read. “Someone loves me and wishes to stay anonymous? I have to admit that it is flattering and all but i just wish i knew who it was.” Twilight sat the letter on the table she picked up the rose and started to wonder. “maybe i should go and ask Roseluck if anypony have bought rose’s from her lately. But first” she get’s a vase from the shelf and fills it with water and putes the rose in the vase. “hay Twilight before you go to Roseluck you may want to eat your pancakes before they get cold.” Twilight looked away from the rose and back to her breakfast and started to eat her the pancakes. Twilight was walking towards the market to speak to Roseluck to maybe find out who sent her that letter declaring their love for her. Arriving at Roseluck’s flower stall she saw Roseluck waving at her with a smile on her face. “Good afternoon Twilight, is there anything i can help you with today?” “good afternoon Roseluck, i was just wondering if someone have bought a rose from you lately?” Roseluck looked at Twilight with a confused look. “Why do you want to know that?” Twilight let out a small sigh and looked around. “I got a letter this morning with a rose to it, and it had no name the only clue i have that might have sent it was the rose that come with the letter so i was wondering if you might know who it was.” Roseluck but a hoof the her cheek. “Well only two ponies have bought roses from me in the last week, Rainbow Dash altho she bought two of my best roses and did not tell me why. Fluttershy also bought a rose and she told me it was for her mother. And then there was Lyra with i’am guessing she will give to Bon-bon. So i don’t really know who sent you that letter but if i were you i would just wait and see what happens.” Twilight looked at Roseluck with wide eyes and her mouth hang open, she now had a suspect, but it can’t be Rainbow Dash she was one of Twilight's closest friends. she thought about what Roseluck said and said to herself that it was the best course of action, to just wait and see and beside the letter said the mysterious pony would send letter each week with more info until the sender was comfortable with revealing her self. “Thank you for that bit of advice Roseluck i think that that may be the best course for now and thanks have a good day.” “No problem Twilight have a good day yourself.” With that Twilight made her way back to the library to start reading the new book that arrived at the library this morning, she had really nothing better to do for now,  other then just wait for the next letter. Twilight was reading the new book while having a cup of tea, she could not concentrate on the book her thoughts keep her on the letter and the mysterious stranger that sent it. She was broken out of her thoughts when she heard a  knock on the door. “Come in” Twilight said while placing a bookmark in the book. The door opens and revale a rainbow-maned, cyan coated pegasus, Rainbow Dash was the last pony she expected to come through the door today. “Heya Twilight, what's going on?”Rainbow says while she flies in to the library. “Hello Rainbow, nothing significant is happening today. What brings you hear today?” Rainbow was hovering around the library looking for the book she was looking for. “Oh i was just picking up a book for Rarity she was busy with one of her dress orders so she asked me to pick up a book for her, she told me she was looking a book called ‘Golden Girl’.” “Again? this must be the fifth or sixth time she borrowed that book, did she tell you why she wanted that book?” Twilight said while getting the book form it’s shelf. Rainbow took the book out of Twilight’s magical aura and landed in the middle of the library. “Hmm? umm no i don’t think so but i would guess that she just thinks that it is such a good story that she wants to read it again.” Takin the book in under her wing she opened the door and looked back at Twilight. “i better get this to her as soon as possible so i can get back to work, see you latter Twi.” Twilight watched Rainbow gallop down the street of Ponyville wondering why Rainbow did a favor for Rarity while she had work, maybe she was on her lunch break. Closing the door and returning to the book she was reading she thought that if she wanted Rainbow to get into romance novels she would recommend Golden girl, maybe Rarity dose that before her. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 One week had passed by since the letter from the secret admirer arrived and Twilight was sitting in the kitchen of the library enjoying a daisy sandwich with a cup of tea while reading the newspaper, Spike was out in the living room taking a break from his cleaning duties and sat in his favorite corner of the library to read his comics. Finishing up her sandwich Twilight walked in to the library living room to continue to read the book she was reading, on her way to the book she heard a knock at her door. Opening the door she saw a maillpony standing there with a package and a letter in his hoof. “Got a letter here for Princess Twilight.” He said while holding his hoof up and trying to bow to the alicorn princess without falling flat on his face. “Thank you sir. Who gave this to you? If you don’t mind me asking.” Twilight said while holding up the package and letter with her magic. “I could not see the pony’s face, your highness, but from the tone of her voice I could tell she was a mare.” The maillpony said while adjusting his hat. Twilight looked at the maillpony and levitated the letter and package to her desk. “Thanks again for the delivery sir” She said while walking back inside and slamming the door in the maillponys face. Twilight opened the letter and started reading, starting with reading the name of the sender which indeed was her secret admirer. Dear Twilight Sparkle It is me again writing the second letter out of three that you will get from me under this guise. Anyway in this letter I will reveal that I am a pegasus and a mare, I hope you are ok with a mare being in love with you. Also instead of a rose I sent you something nice and warm for the winter, I made it myself I hope you like it. Now I have to sign off to prepare for the next one, I really hope you don't mind having a mare loving you, if you do then you can say so when we meet, I won’t feel hurt for whatever you chose to say to me then, until then I will continue to think of you and me together. Signed -Your yet secret admirer- Puting the letter down Twilight looked over to the package and back at the letter. “A mare? so this admirer is a Fillyfooler? I need to think about this for a few days.” Twilight said to herself while levitating the package over to her self. “Might as well see what is in the package, who knows, I might like it.” She said while opening the box. Twilight saw a light hoof knitted lavender scarf with her cutie mark at each end of it, it was so well knitted that it looked like it was done by machine, but there were a few parts of it where Twilight could tell it was hoof knitted. Twilight put the scarf around her neck. “Not only does it look nice it feels nice and warm and has a small scent of nature, like newly bloomed flowers, it is obvious that whoever made this pute a lot of time into this scarf.” Hanging the scarf up on the clothing rack Twilight noticed that the baby dragon that was in the corner was not sitting reading his comics like he did when she entered the room. “Twilight we need more groceries for the next week.” Spike said coming out from the kitchen with a glass of apple juice in his hand. “Sure Spike, it is time to see what Applejack got at the stall before she closes down for the winter.” Twilight said while putting the scarf back on. “Oh and is there anything you need from Applejack’s stand?” She said while opening the door with her magic and looking back at Spike. “Hmm no I don’t think so, maybe two or three bags of apples so we have some during the winter.” Spike said while putting the glass down on the table beside the chair in his corner. “Ok see you soon Spike try not to eat everything in the fridge.” Twilight said while walking out the door and closing it. Twilight was walking down the living district of Ponyville, and while passing one of the newly built homes she noticed a white unicorn walking out of the house saying goodbye to someone. Twilight could not see who this mysterious pony was before the pony closed the door with what seem to be magic so it was a unicorn, Walking up to the white unicorn Twilight said. “Hello Rarity who were you visiting?” She said while smiling. Rarity turned around and looked at Twilight while laughing nervously. “Oh Hello Twilight, oh that was just a… a distant cousin of mine; haven't seen her for years.” She said while starting to walk alongside Twilight. “Oh, well ok. I was actually on my way to your boutique to ask you about something rather personal, if you are not too busy.” “Of course, darling, I always have time for you now let's hurry so you can tell me what’s up.” Rarity said while starting to trot a little faster. Walking through the doors of Carousel Boutique, Rarity and Twilight headed straight for the kitchen, once inside Rarity used her magic to fill the teapot with water and put it on the oven and taking two cups out of the cuperd. “Sit down darling; tea will be ready in a minute” She said while pulling Twilight’s chair out, Twilight sat herself down while levitating her tea cup over to her, at the same time Rarity sat herself down while placing the tea cup next to her. “Now darling what is this you wanted to talk about?” she asked while keeping an eye on the tea pot. “Well you see Rarity I... oh how do I put this? Umm you see recently I have gotten letters from someone who goes by the name secret admirer and recently they said that they loved me, also that it was a mare, and I just don’t know how I should handle the situation and I kinda thought that since you borrow so many romance novels from the library I thought that you might know what to do or how I should handle this.” Rarity listened with big eyes she got very interested once she heard what this ‘problem’ that Twilight was talking about, was her favorite subject to talk about. “Well Twilight you should start by being calm and not stress about the situation. The last thing that this secret admirer wants is to stress you out, I think, did she by chance write something that might give you a clue on who it was or if she had any plans on meeting you face-to-face soon?” Twilight thought about it for a moment. “Well she did say that it was the next to the last letter she would send under the name secret admirer, she also wrote that she was preparing for the next one what ever that means, otter than that she relay did not write anything else.” Hearing a small whistling sound coming from the oven Rarity filled their cups with tea, which Twilight started to sip on almost as soon Rarity moved the teapot away. “Careful daring it’s hot.” Rarity said while Twilight plew on the liquid to make it cooler faster. “Any way dear, by the sound of it it sounds like she will reveal her name when she feels ready which by the sound of it should be rather soon. So just be patient deer, no need to stress.” Rarity said while sipping little by little on her tea. “I guess you are right, I should really try to calm myself down from time to time, it was just that I have never experienced something like this before so I was just a little scared, thanks anyway Rarity.” Twilight finished up her cup of tea and started to walk out. “Oh and by the way Rarity.” Rarity looked up from the table. “How come you did not come to pick up your book yourself yesterday? were you really that busy?” Rarity looked at Twilight with a confused look on her face. “Whatever are you talking about Twilight? Last time I borrowed a book from the library was quite some time ago. Yesterday I helped Rainbow out with her little problems, which I pinkie promised to not say a word about.” Now it was Twilight’s turn to look confused. “But Rainbow came to the library saying that you wanted her to pick up Golden Girl for you because you were so busy.” Now Rarely understood. “Oh now I see what's going on, sorry Twilight but I can’t talk about it but if you would be so kind and write down the borrowing fee on Rainbow I would appreciate it.” Twilight just opened the door and started walking out. “Sure Rarity and thanks for the tea.” Closing the door and starting to walk towards Applejack’s stand to pick up the apples and other groceries she thought to herself. “Odd, why would Rainbow borrow Golden Girl? Hmm oh well I guess I’ll find out some other day. For now I have my own things to take care of.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Another week passed by with not anything really happening and Twilight was enjoying a peaceful afternoon with one of her favorite books which was Starswirld the bearded biography. While reading the book she could hear Spike occasionally laugh from the comic he was reading. She but the book down and headed for the kitchen to get herself a nice cup of tea, that was the plan anyway what she did not expect was a chaos god sitting down at the table reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. “Discord?” Twilight said with a bit of a shock in her tone. “Hmm? oh finally you come to say hello to a old friend.” Discord says while snapping the newspaper and coffee mug away. Now facing Twilight he snaps with his fingers one more time and a small note appear in his hands. “Anyways the reason i'm here is to deliver this note to you.” He said before he snapped with his fingers one more time before he was gone leaving behind the note. Using her magic to lift the note up she sat down at the table and started reading it. Dear Twilight I Am now ready to show myself and i want to have a picnic on a hill on the outskirts of Ponyville. Sorry about the messenger if he did something wrong or rude, i wanted to go to you and ask you to this picnic myself but that would ruin the surprise. Anyways i will be waiting on the hill tomorrow at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. P.S. I hear it is going to be a bit chilly tomorrow so some thing to keep you warm would be good, don’t worry i’ll bring some hot chocolate. “HIIIIIYA Get away from Twilight you-” a purple dragon came rushing through the door with a broom in his claws flailing it like a spear, making a few of the dishes fall to the floor. “Spike what are you doing?” Twilight asked putting the note down on the kitchen table. “I heard you yell Discord’s name so i thought you were in trouble or that he was going to kidnap you and take over Equestria” spike said calming himself slowly down. “Well Discord was here, but just to deliver this note from this mysterious pony who like’s me, she just asked me to meet her tomorrow at 5 o’clock on a hill not far from Ponyville.” Twilight said lifting the note up and showing it to Spike. Looking at the note Spike puts it back on the table and goes back to reading his comics. Twilight on the other hoof was wondering on the note she received from Discord, and she needed to take a little walk around town to clear her head. While walking around Ponyville Twilight was wondering over who her date for the next day would be. Hearing a rumble from her stomach, Twilight heads towards Ponyville’s cafe. Turning the corner of the cafe she could see Fluttershy sitting on the outside part of the restaurant, she had a cup of what looked like tea in front of her but that was not all. A dark gray pegasus stallion with brown hair sat with her drinking what looked like a cup of coffee, they looked like to have a good time so Twilight decided to eat at one of Ponyville’s lesser known restaurants. After having a few hayburgers in a small diner a little walk outside of Ponyville. Twilight decided to take a small walk through the park just to think about what surprises tomorrow might bring. Walking in to the park Twilight starts to think about who this mare she was meeting tomorrow might be. Other than her friends she hasn't been talking to a lot of other pony’s around Ponyville. She knew Lyra and BonBon but she knew they were together so it could not have been any of them. Twilight started to think about her friends and started to think what if it was any of them? What if she went up to that hill and saw one of her friends sitting there waiting for her. At that moment she saw Fluttershy sitting together with that same stallion she was talking to at the cafe earlier. Twilight did not recognise this stallion, she might have see him somewhere but wasn’t exactly sure. As she was walking up to them she heard a loud voice call out to her. “TWILIGHT!” said a pink bouncing pony. “Oh hello Pinkie how are you” Twilight said turning around to face the pink party pony. “Oh i’am fine just absolutely positively fine, i just got a raise from the Cake’s and i also got the rest of the day of so i thought why not take a jump through the park. And wouldn't you know it i jump right in to one of my best friends.” Pinkie looked in the direction that Twilight was looking before she approached her. “Oh is that Fluttershy and Lightning? They seem to have a good time. oh well  might jump over there after i heard how your day, or when was the last time i saw you?” Pinkie stopped to bounce for a second to gather her thoughts. “Oh now i remember i saw you last week, you came in to sugarcube corner after you had a talk with Rarity at her boutique if i’am not mistaken. Somethin bout a note you have gotten from some one right?” Twilight looked at Pinkie with a stunned expression on her face. “Yes i seem to have a secret admirer and he sent me another note today saying she want’s to meet me tomorrow. Only problem is i have no idea who she is, all i know is that she is a mare and a pegasus. Pinkie you couldn't happen to know any fillyfooler that are pegasi could you? Pinkie stopped to think again and sat there in her thoughts for nearly five minutes straight until she started talking again. “Well i know for a fact that Dashie is one but i don’t think she is interested in you. And i’am not sure about Fluttershy but i don’t think she is one, there are around four thousand ponies in Ponyville Twilight you can expect me to know everyponys name but not thair sexualety. Sorry but i really have no clue.” Pinkie stood up and started to bounce away from Twilight. “But now i have to go i was going to see if Dashie was up for a few pranks today. It was fun talking to you Twilight see you soon.” And with that she was gone. Twilight just stared off in the direction in which pinkie had bounced away from. And when she finally came to her senses she started to make her way home. Coming to the conclusion that she just had to wait and see who this admirer was. When she got home Spike was asleep with a comic book covering his face and a half empty glass of milk next to him. With her magic she lifted Spike up to his bed while feeling quite exhausted her self and finishing putting the the books back in the shelfs and walking back up to her bedroom where Spike was snoring at this point. Twilight did not do this every time Spike snored but that was because she often fell asleep herself before that time. She powered her horn up and put a mute spell on Spike that would last at least two hours. More than enuf time to fall asleep. Looking up at the ceiling just before the shadows of sleep took hold of her she wondered about this mare she was meeting tomorrow. She quickly showed these thoughts out of her head and want to sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 The sun was high in the sky and Twilight sat in the main room of the library picking out various romance novels that have mare and mare couples in them. She had gathered a pile of about six books. Out of the soon to be hundred books she have looked through there weren't many books on mare and mare couples. “Well at least it is something to read while i wait for the picnic with this mare to begin.” Twilight said while shelving all the books she did not need. Taking the six books she had pick out, Twilight headed upstairs to her bedroom where Spike was backing his bag. “Are you already going over to the Cutie mark crusaders sleepover Spike?” Twilight asked while putting the books down on her study table. “Yea got the be there early to make sure they don’t burn down or destroy whatever they are going to do this week.” he said while closing the top of his bag. “Well i wish you luck while you are there. And spike.” “Yea?” “You are going to sleep in separate rooms right?” Twilight said with a serious look on her face. “Wh...Twilight we are only kids. And besides i have no interest in the CMC in that way.” Twilight then dropped her serious face and started to giggle, spike looking at her with irritated eyes. “Oh Spike i’am only joking, you have fun.” Twilight said while trying to stop laughing. Spike then proceeded to head out, he said his goodbye to Twilight and Twilight returned to the books she gathered up earlier. Two hours passed and five out of the six books have been read Twilight looked up at the clock to see that it was almost 5 o'clock. She put the book down and went in to the bathroom to get ready. Taking a quick shower she started to get nervous. The thought on that she did not know who her date was frightening her. What would she do if it was one of her friends? Stopping the train of thought she looked up at the clock and saw that if she delayed any longer she would be late. Heading out the door Twilight started to trot towards the hill that the note described. Halfway there Twilight saw Rarity together with a pony who had a black cloak over the pony. Twilight decided to ask Rarity about it some other time as if she was late enough as it was. Just a few meters away Twilight looked up towards the sky where a rainbow trail caught her eye, it was heading towards Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight could swear that she saw something read in the pegasus mouth but again she decided on to talk to Rainbow about it later. She now arrived at the spot and saw that a red and white blanket was spread out under a tree. Twilight saw a lavender flower close to the tree she was sitting under and decided to pick it up and place it in her mane, Might as well look like she wanted to impress her mysterious date. With only the wind as sound it was easy hearing hoof steps in the grass closing in on the alicorn. “I’am glad you came Twilight” A soft smooth voice called out. Twilight knew that voice without looking at the mare, that timid voice belonged to one of her closest friends. “F-Fluttershy” Twilight said while turning around to her cream colored friend with widened eyes. Looking at Twilight reaction Fluttershy wanted nothing else than to fly away right then and there. But she have gather the courage in three weeks to be able to do this, to be able to confess to the love of her life. Yet with all this courage she was still afraid of how Twilight would respond. Fluttershy simply hid behind her mane to cover the blush that was going on on her cheeks. “Fluttershy are you the one that have been sending me the notes these past three weeks?” Twilight asked in a calming voice and a kind look in her face. Yet she was not smiling, all Fluttershy could do was nod and come out of her mane a little bit. Putting a hoof on Fluttershy’s cheek to be able to se her face and look her in the eye’s Twilight could see that Fluttershy had something in her eye, a small glint that made Twilight realize that Fluttershy was speaking the truth. “I’am not mad nor am i freaked out Fluttershy. I just want to know, in all those notes you sent me. Did you mean every single word of it?” Twilight took her hoof away from Fluttershy and sat herself down so that Fluttershy may speak. “Y-Yes i did. I have had this feeling whenever i’am with you ever since the Discord incident. After that day that you saved me i have had a tingly feeling every time i come near you or saw you. At first i thought it was only a temporary crush, you know something that would go away after Two to three weeks. But no it kept growing and growing until i my face was like a tomato just by being in contact with you. I then a little about four weeks ago realized that i love you Twilight, at first i was going to visit you and tell you but i did not have the courage to do it so i just started to write a note, but not having the bravery to but my name on it i thought i would write you one note every week until i felt comfortable to tell you. That day being today.” After explaining her situation and taking a minute to calm down, Fluttershy just have one question on her mind. “So now that you know this what do you say Twilight? Will you be my special somepony?” Fluttershy looked at Twilight with hopeful eyes and Twilight saw the determination and emotion that was in the eye’s of one of her best friend. Thinking about her feeling towards Fluttershy, Twilight could honestly say that she did love Fluttershy. What she wasn't sure about was did she love her in that way. “I-I don't know how to tell you this Fluttershy but i honesty don’t know what i feel. Maybe give me some time to think about this would make my feelings towards you a little clearer, because now my mind is just a little foggy and i can’t think straight.” Hearing this Fluttershy's hart started to hurt just a little bit. But she understood and was willing to give Twilight the time she needed. “I can understand that you want some time to give this some thought, that is who you are after all and one of the reasons i love you. I was not expecting an answer from you at once. So take the time you need and i hope to have your answer soon.” With that Fluttershy went up to Twilight to gave her a hug. They stayed like that for a little while and when they broke apart Twilight moved to Fluttershy and gave her a kiss on her cheek. “See you soon Fluttershy and hear i want you to have this.” Twilight said while taking the flower she had in her main and put it in Fluttershy’s own. With smile on her face Twilight started to walk home. Fluttershy started to walk toward her cottage with a small blush on her face, thinking about what the next few days that were to come had to bring her. Coming around the corner towards Golden oaks library Twilight could see two ponies standing outside of it. One of these ponies being Rarity and the other the pony with the black cloak on that Twilight saw with Rarity earlier that day. "Rarity what are you doing here so late?" Twilight asked with a hint of concern on her voice. Rarity and the otter pony turned around to look at Twilight. "Oh you are hear? good i was afraid that we had to put this on old. May we come in Twilight?" Rarity asked while letting Twilight pass them  and open the door. "Yea sure just come it." Twilight sat herself down in the middle of the library and looked towards Rarity who was looking at the pony beside her. Taking the hood of to show her face Twilight was a bit shocked to see who this pony was. "Trixie?" Twilight said while looking at the show mare that was now in her library. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 On her way home Fluttershy kept thinking on what Twilights answer might be. Fluttershy opened the door to her cottage and lied down on the sofa to relax after such an exciting evening. She took the flower Twilight gave her out of her mane and set it in a empty vase on top of her fireplace after taking a few moments to admire it, the memories flashing through her mind, causing her to smile. Walking into her kitchen, Fluttershy could hear a knock at the door. She walked back to the main room and after opening the door, Fluttershy got tackled to the floor by her cyan friend in a massive hug. After getting back on her hooves Fluttershy was able to see that her friend Rainbow Dash, grinning like she never has before. “Hello Rainbow, I’m guessing that you finally told her?” Fluttershy said while walking back to the couch. “Yes and guess what?! She said yes and we’re going out on our first date tomorrow! So, how did it go with Twilight? Did she kiss you and ask you out?” Rainbow asked while she followed Fluttershy to the couch to sit down. “Well… no. she told me she needed time to think about it. But she did give me that flower and kiss me on the cheek so I think I might be in good standings.” Fluttershy explained with a blush pointing up at the vase which held the flowers before she stood up and started to walk over to the kitchen. “Would you like something to drink Rainbow? I would think that you might want to cool down after such an exciting evening.” Fluttershy asked as Rainbow stood up and followed her into the kitchen. “Nah. I think I might head on home and sleep. Big day tomorrow and I need to catch some z’s. Good luck with Twilight, Flutters. I just know everything will work out. Maybe we could double date sometime.” Rainbow said with a good hearted chuckle before she walked out of the kitchen. “Well I’m going to take off now. I’ll catch you later! She said as she jumped out an open window in a fashion usual for her instead of using the door she had come in from, drawing a sigh and chuckle from the butter coated mare. After she closed the window, Fluttershy looked towards the flower once more before she headed up to the bedroom and went to sleep having various dreams on what Twilight might say to her next time she sees her. Fluttershy started her morning routine thinking that it was just a nightmare and that what she saw in it would never happen after she woke up from a rather horrible and ridiculous nightmare where Twilight said no to her and went to Canterlot to outlaw mare-loving mare's in Equestria. Shower, breakfast, and feeding her animals was all she had to do today so she took one of her books from her bookshelf and rested herself on the couch. After a couple of hours Fluttershy had managed to fall asleep on the couch when a knock on the door woke her up, placing the book on the living room table. She walks over to the door to see who was knocking. Fluttershy opened the door and what she saw next was not to believe. Twilight was standing there with a smile on her face. “Hello Fluttershy. I was wondering. If you weren’t too busy, would you like if we went for a walk together?” “Sure we can Twilight. I always have time for you.” Fluttershy said while closing the door behind her, a small blush dusting her face as she remembered all the good dreams from the night before. Not much was said between the two mares on the road through White tail woods until they arrived at a small cliff where Twilight sat down and looked up at the sky. “You know Fluttershy-” She began before closing her mouth and seeming to rethink her next words with a shake of her head. “I don’t really know how to say it right. I’ve never really been very good with social situations let alone something so personal.” Twilight begins to explain as a hard to see blush starts to light her cheeks. “So i’ll just let the stars talk for me.” She said while pointing up towards the early night sky where some of the stars have appeared and spelled out ‘I accept your request and will go out on a date with you Fluttershy ~T.S.’ Fluttershy looked up at the message that was written in the stars for everypony to see. Looking over at Twilight Fluttershy saw that Twilight was standing there looking at her with a big -if slightly nervous- smile and blush on her face. All Fluttershy could do was simply tackle Twilight with a bear crushing hug. Pulling back from the hug, Fluttershy withstood the powerful want to kiss Twilight right then and there,  their first date would make a better place for that. “Thanks for giving me a chance Twilight, I promise you that your first ever date will be a good one.” Twilight simply nodded, stepped up to fluttershy and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “I can hardly wait Fluttershy.” and with that they started to walk back towards Ponyville //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 “Trixie what are you doing back here?” Twilight said standing up and walking towards Trixie. “Please Twilight Sparkle, do not hurt Trixie. She is not here to harm you or your friends.” She said while slowly backing away from Twilight. “Hurt you?” Twilight said stopping in her tracks and looking at Trixie with a concerned look on her face. “I was just going to give you a friendly welcome back hug.” “R-Really? I thought that you would hate me after I tried to run you out of Ponyville last time.” Trixie said while walking up to Twilight, still a little cautious. Twilight took a step forward and hugged Trixie with a smile on her face. “You apologized that day, and you helped me with the performance I had in front of the ambassadors of Saddlearabia. You have made some bad choices in your life but i’am willing to give you a second chance.” Twilight let go of Trixie and walked back to the middle of the library to sit down again as Trixie got a soft smile on her face. “Well it certainly is good to see that you don’t hold any grudge towards her Twilight. Unlike Rainbow Dash who made a fool out of herself and started to curse and throw insults towards Trixie when she laid eyes upon her.” Rarity said while sitting down on the opposite side of Twilight. “Yeah. It was scary at first but after she calmed down it was easy for Trixie to apologize and become friends with that fast pegasus friend of yours. That was all I had to do for tonight. I think I’ll be heading back out now. See you tomorrow Rarity.” and with that she put the cloak back on but not bothering putting the hood on, she then looked back to Twilight and said. “Thank you for being so understanding Twilight Sparkle, and I hope to see you soon.” And with that, she left the library, leaving the hood off now that she didn’t need to hide from potential hate around town anymore. “Well that was a pleasant surprise.” Twilight said while standing up closing the door after Trixie. “It is actually good that you come in this point in time Rarity. I was kind of hoping you could advise me a little. I will most likely need it.” She said waving Rarity over to the kitchen so they could talk this over with some fresh drinks. “Would you like some tea Rarity? I just got some chamomile tea from my mother, said it will help me calm down in my time of stress.” “Sounds lovely darling. But what is it that you want my advice on? Is it about the mysterious mare that is sending you letters?” rarity said. Twilight put the teapot on the stove and took out two teacups from the cupboard and placed them on the table. “Well yes. You see I went to meet her today and-” She could not finish the sentence before being interrupted by Rarity. “Oh so Fluttershy finally decided to tell you. Well it is about time.” Rarity said while sitting down at the table. Twilight sat down herself and a bit shocked she said. “Wait you knew it was her? Since when? With a small laugh, Rarity simply looked at Twilight and said. “Twilight darling, me and Fluttershy spend three hour at the spa every week. When I happen to mention your name, or talk extensively about you. She has this little spark in her eyes and seems more comfortable with herself. Oh, and she starts blushing like mad. It's somewhat hard to miss if you ask me. As Rarity finished her tale, the teapot started making the high-pitched sound signaling to the two mares that the tea is ready. Pouring the hot water in the teacups and putting the tea bag in the water Rarity took a few dips of the bag to get the flavor of the tea in the water. Taking a small sip of her hot tea Rarity placed the cup on the table and said. “So what was your answer darling? Or did you give her an answer at all?” taking another sip of her tea, Rarity looked over at Twilight and saw that she was looking down into her tea with a hint of worry in her eyes. Twilight looked up at Rarity and said. “I don’t know Rarity, I mean I’m not quite sure what to feel. On one hoof, I'm flattered that there is somepony out there that has an interest in me in that way. However, on the other hoof I’m not sure how it will affect our friendship. What if we have a falling out and we-” Twilight was cut off yet again by Rarity before she was able to finish her thoughts. “Now you listen to me Twilight. Love is never certain to work out, but I have a feeling if you and Fluttershy have a falling out you will and you love Fluttershy and she loves you, you will make up. If you want any tips from me Twilight, I say try. If it doesn't work, then it won’t work. But you never know for certain when it comes to love. It's unpredictable and definitely not something you can plan weeks in advance. You just have to roll with the punches and see what happens.” While sitting and listening to what Rarity had to say Twilight thought “she is right, you know.” Twilight’s brain said to her. ”You never know what'll happen. Besides, what could it hurt to just go over to Fluttershy's cottage tomorrow and ask her out?” Again, her mind had a point and Twilight could not see a reason to why not at least try and see what happens. “Thanks Rarity, you’re right. So right in fact, that I think I may go over to Fluttershy’s cottage tomorrow and ask her out.” She said determinedly with a smile. A smile that was shared by her proud friend. With that the two mares finished their tea and Twilight said her goodbye to Rarity. She headed home while Rarity headed for the bedroom to finish off the day, both nervous and excited for what the next day might bring.
