Twilight Sparkle slowly opened her eyes, the golden light of dawn flooding her vision as she stretched.
Knock knock knock!
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Twilight huffed, rolling out of bed and walking past her drowsy assistant who was still rubbing the sleep from his eyes with the back of his claws.
"Who is it?" Spike mumbled sleepily, but Twilight didn't answer, merely shaking her head as she swung her bedroom door open with her magic, a third set of frantic knocks coming from the door downstairs.
"I'm coming!" she shouted, her voice louder than the knocks had been before leaping over the banister and gliding down to the front door. Seizing it with her magic, she pulled it open. "What do you wan - Fluttershy?"
The pegasus had obviously been weeping, her wings drooping at her sides, her cheeks matted with tears. "How could you!" she sobbed.
"How could I what?" Twilight tilted her head quizzically.
"This!" Bending her head back, she pulled a magazine out of her saddlebag, holding it up just a few inches away from Twilight's face.
"Playmare? Twilight Sparkle reveals all?" Twilight laughed. "Fluttershy, I didn't do anything with Playmare magazine."
"No?" She awkwardly pawed at it with her hoof, flipping through the glossy pages before presenting it to her friend once more.
"Foreplay and Copulation Between An Alicorn and a Pegasus Using Proper Anatomical Terminology?" Twilight's eyes widened in alarm as they flickered across the page. "How did they get this?"
"So you did write it, then?" Fluttershy asked, tears flowing down her cheeks.
"Yeah, I wrote it, but I didn't send it to them! I sent it to a reputable scientific journal!" Twilight's words did nothing to assuage the distraught pegasus, whose quiet sobs continued. "How did you get this anyway?"
Fluttershy sniffed. "Some of the stallions in town, they were looking at me. They... they asked me if I would like to 'experiment' with them, too." She lowered her head. "Some of the mares, too."
"Oh Fluttershy..." Twilight stepped forward to wrap her friend in a hug. "I'm so sorry. It wasn't about you."
"I know," Fluttershy said, "But how could you talk about Rainbow Dash having..." she shuddered.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think you still had feelings for her." Twilight stood there awkwardly, doing her best to dry her friend's tears.
"I don't. I understand why we can't be together. But... everyone in town thinks I did this. I got a letter from my parents!"
Twilight sighed. "I'll clear this up, I promise. I just need to figure out how..." Twilight shook with sudden realization. "Rainbow Dash!"
"What?" Fluttershy jerked her head, looking around.
"No! That's who did this. Come on," Twilight growled, stepping out the front door. "Spike! If anyone comes looking for me, tell them I'm at Sugarcube Corner!"
"Okay!" the dragon called back from upstairs as the door slammed shut behind them. "Sheesh. They sure left in a hurry."

The doors to Sugarcube Corner burst open, drawing a start from the colorful pair of ponies lounging at the counter.
"Rainbow Dash! I have a bone to pick with you!"
The pegasus in question blinked. "What'd I do?"
Twilight grabbed the magazine out of Fluttershy's grip, tossing it straight at Rainbow Dash's face. The pegasus flinched, then automatically caught the magazine before it hit the ground. "Twilight Sparkle tells all?" She laughed. "Ha! They actually published it!"
"Rainbow Dash! You told me that the Fund For Furthering Understanding of Carnal Knowledge was a legitimate research organization!"
"And they are! I mean, look at this article! This is great stuff." The pegasus began laughing again.
"What is it, Dashie?" Pinkie Pie asked, leaning over the counter.
"She used the chart!" She said, before falling backwards onto the counter, the pair of ponies laughing uproariously as they read the article together, hunching together over it on the counter.
"It isn't funny!" Twilight said, cracking her hoof against the floor. "Everypony in town thinks that Fluttershy and I had sex and wrote about it in Playmare magazine!"
At Twilight's words, Fluttershy burst into tears again. Pinkie Pie's expression changed instantly, from laughter to concern as she rushed over to comfort her friend, and even Rainbow Dash's face fell.
"What? Why the hay did everypony think it was you and Fluttershy? I mean, sure, you didn't use my name, but what other smoking hot pegasus celebrity lives in Pony..." Rainbow Dash trailed off, her eyes widening. "Oh."
"Yeah, 'Oh'!" Twilight waved her hooves in exasperation.
"Hey, it isn't my fault! You're the one who wrote the article!"
"Yes, to a reputable magazine! Not to Playmare!"
"Hey! Playmare is reputable!'
"Yeah, disreputable!"
Each pony stepped towards the other with every shout until their snouts were touching, noses crinkling as they glared into each others' eyes.
"Stop it!" Pinkie said, cutting through the argument. "It isn't all Dashie's fault! It was just as much me as it was her!" Her blue eyes were watering as she held Fluttershy close by her side. "It wasn't supposed to actually be published. We all were just being silly fillies."
"Yeah? Well, this 'silly filly' is going to have to answer to her parents AND to the Princess!"
"That's why we had you use the chart," Rainbow Dash whispered.
"What?" Twilight whirled on the pegasus.
"The chart! We never thought they'd publish it if you used silly things like 'wub zone' and 'clippy-cloppers'."
"Clippity-cloppers," Pinkie corrected.
"Whatever. Point is, it was never supposed to be published."
"What do you mean? Those are proper scientific terms!"
Rainbow Dash chortled. "Twilight, it called a tail a parasprite whip. We never thought you would actually go for it."
Twilight's eyes flickered from Pinkie Pie to Rainbow Dash. "Wait, you made that up?"
Pinkie Pie nodded. "Yup! We thought it would be pretty funny to read. We didn't think you would actually send it."
"But I didn't send it! I sent it to the Fund For Furthering Understanding of Carnal Knowledge."
Rainbow Dash snickered. "Twilight. Think about what you just said."
Twilight paused for a moment, thinking. "Eff Eff Eff Ewe..." Her eyes widened.
"Yeah, that's the legal name for the company that prints Playmare."
Twilight fell to the floor, lightly banging her head against it. "Ugh."
Fluttershy sniffed again, drawing their attention back to the pegasus. "But... everypony in town thinks that me and Twilight had sex. Everyone... everyone was laughing at me!"
Pinkie Pie patted her friend on the back while Rainbow Dash rubbed her mane awkwardly with her hoof. "It was never supposed to involve you, Fluttershy. I'm sorry."
"Well, it did," Twilight said, rising to her feet. "And now everyone thinks that I had sex with Fluttershy and is asking me if I want to 'experiment' with an earth pony next."
"Look, it's easy. I'll just tell ponies that I was the pegasus in the article," Rainbow Dash shrugged.
"Oh, Rainbow Dash. You don't have to do that for me," Fluttershy said quietly. "I can't ask you to risk your reputation."
"Nah, it's fine," the pegasus waved her friend off. "Everyone assumes I sleep around anyway, so it's no skin off my nose."
"And I can write to your parents and tell them that you were in no way involved in the study," Twilight said, smiling to her friend.
"Oh, thank you."
Pinkie Pie reached up to wipe the tears off of Fluttershy's cheeks. "Hey, I know! Why don't you grab yourself a cupcake from the kitchen? It's my treat." She beamed at Fluttershy, the demure pegasus lowering her head in gratitude before trotting off into the back room.
Twilight sighed. "Well, that's one crisis averted. But everypony in town is still going to think I had sex with somepony."
Rainbow Dash grinned and stuck her tongue out at her friend. "Well, be sure to put in a good word for me when they ask how I was."
Twilight stomped her foot, her cheeks blazing. "I did it for purely scientific reasons!"
"Nah. You totally want me." Rainbow Dash strutted over to her friend, pressing her snout up under her jaw, only making Twilight blush all the more as she glanced over towards Pinkie Pie, who bobbed her head and smiled approvingly.
"It's alright! I know you like Dashie." The cheerful pony bounced over next to her friend, trapping Twilight in a hug between herself and the pegasus. "Besides, if one alicorn is fun, then two alicorns will be extra super fun! Plus I bet with all your studying, you know lots and lots of things you can do!" She gasped. "I know, magic!"
"I'm not using magic, Pinkie."
The pink pony pouted. "Why not?"
"Because it's dangerous! Who knows what it might do?"
Rainbow Dash laughed. "Isn't that the whole point of 'studying'?" The pegasus smirked, then gave Twilight a lick on the cheek, drawing a squeak from the alicorn and a slight pop of her wings. "Hah! And I thought you got that under control."
Twilight couldn't be blushing any harder if she wanted to as she reached back to try and arrange her errant appendages back against her sides. "You know how hard it is for me!" Rainbow Dash only sniggered in response.
"You know, though, those other ponies really are being silly," Pinkie Pie said, leaning forward to give Twilight a kiss on the nose. "I mean, your article even said the alicorn had recently ascended. Your ascension was months ago!"
Twilight laughed weakly, leaning forward to nuzzle at her two friends, her horn brushing against Pinkie Pie's. "I guess so."

Abstract
Interest in the different ways of making love predates the migration to Equestria, and interest in how the tribes differ in their approach to sexual relations has existed nearly as long. While much has been previously written on the subject of lovemaking between the three tribes of pony, all that has been heretofore written upon the subject of alicorns has been at best extrapolation and at worst speculation. The royal family long been hesitant to speak on the subject, making any further study into the subject impossible. However, recently an opportunity arose to do an in-depth study into the more sensual properties of alicorns.
The primary purpose of this study is an initial exploration of alicorn sexuality, as well as a test of the common belief that alicorns are inherently superior lovers to other types of ponies.
Introduction
This study is to be the first in a series of studies about this particular subject matter. In it, basic foreplay and copulation is examined, using the proper anatomical terms located in Figure 1. It is hoped that this study will open up new study into the realm of alicorn sexuality, and, with luck, continued cooperation from the alicorn in question may allow us to finally uncover the truth about the alleged sexual prowess of the breed, and how it is that they differ - and don't differ - from the rest of ponykind.
The primary hypothesis of this researcher is that alicorns are slightly superior sexual partners when compared to the other tribes of ponies due to additional erogenous zones and a more pleasing appearance, but that becoming an alicorn does not inherently grant superior sexual prowess.

Subjects
The primary subject of the study was one alicorn who had recently achieved both the age of majority and status as an alicorn at the time of the experience in question, and who is far from the full growth potential of the breed. According to the subject, she had little personal knowledge of sex, but had studied the subject intensively and engaged in self-gratification upon many occasions. She was uncertain of her sexual orientation, stating that she had been previously attracted to both males and females, including non-ponies. While eager to begin the study, she also reported some initial trepidation about finally copulating with another pony.
The secondary subject of the study was one pegasus who had also recently achieved the age of majority. The subject in question was considered quite attractive by the primary subject and possesses an athlete's build. Despite being a minor celebrity, she had a history of only two sexual partners, one pegasus and one griffin, both female; however, the most recent sexual contact the pegasus had had was three years prior. According to the subject, she achieved self-gratification on a daily basis, and occasionally more often. She described her sexual orientation as lesbian, but stated that she had experienced fleeting sexual attraction towards certain male members of the Wonderbolts. She was highly confident in her abilities and believed that after the study, the alicorn would be interested in additional opportunities for mutual research into the subject matter in question. The pegasus was considered to be a close friend of the primary research subject and did not show an unusual level of deference to them.
The alicorn was uncomfortable with the idea of additional experimental materials "her first time", and wished to leave such tools to another experiment, a condition to which the other subject agreed.
Bias
The subject of bias towards a public figure (as all alicorn princesses are) is a major possible barrier to study on this subject matter; upon stating her concern for possible bias, however, the secondary subject dismissed it, stating that they had never been afraid to criticize her friend previously. She stated that if the alicorn failed in her sexual duties, that she would provide additional guidance to ensure sexual success, or at a minimum climax.
Both parties additionally pledged not to feign pleasure at any point during the experiment.
Methods
The encounter took place in the late evening, in the domicile of the alicorn. The other resident(s) of the domicile in question were promised a substantial reward in order to vacate the premises, and all the doors to the building were locked and the windows shuttered in order to generate additional privacy. The alicorn experienced increased trepidation as all the exits were closed off and eventual mating became increasingly inevitable. Contrary to what might be expected, this only seemed to encourage the pegasus, who behaved in an increasingly amorous manner towards the alicorn despite her growing unease. However, upon the alicorn's declaration of non-consent to further relations, the pegasus withdrew and stated that the alicorn was not required to do anything against her consent, and that the two could simply engage in study of close bodily proximity without actual sexual activity. This alleviated the alicorn's concerns, and the pair retired to the alicorn's bedroom.
Foreplay
While retiring upstairs, the alicorn observed her co-research subject observing her tushie and showed signs of extreme embarrassment. The pegasus did not show any embarrassment at her brazen observation and instead began to follow all the more closely, on one occasion brushing her wiffermuzzle against the alicorn's parasprite whip and inhaling sharply, presumably to "take the mare's scent", a common practice amongst stallions according to research, but a behavior not previously noted in mares. Upon questioning, the pegasus asserted that such olfactory research was not unusual amongst mares to the best of her knowledge, and that likely lack of mention of such was due to the typically stallion-centric nature of much of the literature on the subject.
Upon reaching the bedroom, the pegasus moved up alongside the alicorn, rubbed the length of her body along the alicorn's flank and extended a flutter-flapper over her back, despite her lesser height. This gesture mollified the alicorn, who leaned into the pegasus and allowed their cutie marks to touch. The pair subsequently rubbed their whiffermuzzles together, exchanging kisses. After several minutes of such behavior, the pegasus became more aggressive, placing her tongue into the alicorn's mouth, an experience the alicorn later described using glowing language.
Contrary to the earlier assertion of the pegasus, this researcher now believes that mating was on her mind the entire time, given her subsequent behavior. After some time spent pushing her tongue into the other subject's mouth, the pegasus rose up onto her tree buckers so that she could wrap her clippity-cloppers around the alicorn's hug zone, clinging to her and beginning to bite at her flippity-floppers. The alicorn reacted strangely to this, beginning to tremble and press back against the pegasus, her parasprite whip showing particular activity; while this might sound as if she was trying to dislodge the smaller pony, the alicorn later related that this was in fact the source of considerable pleasure and through her actions she was displaying her approval. The pegasus's mouth then moved to bite at the nape of the alicorn's neck much like a stallion might, and moments later the pair fell to the floor as the alicorn's clippity-cloppers gave out (the alicorn described the sensation as if her legs "turned into jelly").
When the alicorn struck the floor, the pegasus adjusted herself to a more dominant position over her, mantling her flutter-flappers and showing other stallion-like behavior as she continued to bite at the nape of the alicorn's neck. The alicorn showed further reaction to this, her parasprite whip lifting in readiness to mate. The pegasus, not being a stallion, could not copulate in this position, but nevertheless pressed her tushie forward against her partner's, grinding their bodies together in an approximation of mating. After several minutes of this, the arousal of both research subjects was obvious; the smell in the air had grown quite strong, both of their sexual organs were damp, and the alicorn had begun to drool deliriously.
The pegasus suggested that the alicorn place her forequarters on the side of the bed, a proposal that the alicorn acquiesced to; however, the pegasus did not dismount, forcing the alicorn to awkwardly waddle over to the bed. The pegasus continued to display her dominance even after the alicorn obeyed, continuing to bite her repeatedly in what might seem a vicious fashion, but which both described as being highly enjoyable. With her partner in place, the pegasus began to slide backwards off the alicorn, biting at the base of the alicorn's flutter-flappers, then further down along her spine over her cutie mark.

The pegasus bit the base of the alicorn's parasprite whip, much as a stallion would do, encouraging the alicorn to lift it higher; additional sniffing was audible, and the pegasus used one of her clippity-cloppers to rub at her own genitals, displaying her approval. The alicorn's face was completely flushed, showing signs of both embarrassment and considerable pleasure. The pegasus continued to tease the alicorn for a considerable length of time, giving her tushie a large number of kisses and licks without touching her partner's genitals. The alicorn began to protest, but the pegasus did not seem to listen, indeed running her wiffermuzzle up and down the alicorn's tree-buckers several times.
By the time the pegasus finally began to engage in oral sex, the alicorn was already extremely aroused; she had great difficulty in standing still, and the pegasus had to warn her several times to be still after bumping her whiffermuzzle, at least once resulting in a visible flinch. The pegasus finally gave up and used both of her clippity-cloppers to grab the alicorn by her cutie marks.
The pegasus started slow, pressing her whiffermuzzle against her partner's genitals. The alicorn voiced her approval, and her vocalizations only increased as the pegasus started using her tongue. According to the pegasus, the long, slow licks she started out with are ordinarily used to tease, but the alicorn was very sensitive and actually achieved orgasm without the necessity for such. It was fortunate for the pegasus that she had already been grasping the alicorn's cutie marks, because most of her weight came down on her whiffermuzzle when her tree buckers gave out. Notably, despite the danger of being injured, the pegasus was not displeased by this, stating afterwards that "she has that effect on mares".
Mating did not end with the alicorn's orgasm; however, they did subsequently change positions, with the pegasus placing the alicorn fully on the bed, then climbing up herself, positioning her own tushie over the alicorn's whiffermuzzle before starting to lick and kiss the inside of the alicorn's tree buckers.

The alicorn took sixty-eight seconds to realize the nature of her new position, a lag time which she later attributed to being in a state of extreme ecstasy. The pegasus' later analysis was that her inexperience was showing itself, which was why she had to direct the alicorn's subsequent actions both verbally and demonstratively. Each positioned their whiffermuzzle between the others' tree buckers and commenced to place their tongues into the others' vulva. While direct visual observation was very difficult, the pegasus began to give explicit instructions to the alicorn, who seemed to have some difficulty in proper manipulation of the pegasus' sexual organs.
The pegasus's sexual experience was most obvious at this point. The alicorn was in a constant state of bliss, while the pegasus was forced to frequently verbally correct the alicorn on proper technique, frequently demonstrating it herself. Additionally, the pegasus's clippity-cloppers were far more active; their motion ranged over every part of the alicorn within reach, and the alicorn reported that the sensation of being stroked and held by her partner's hooves was both pleasurable and intimate. The alicorn's own attempts at using her clippity-cloppers were clumsy and largely ineffective, and the pegasus eventually recommended that she stick to stroking her cutie marks, which was "good enough".
The differing reactions between the pair were obvious as well; while both were frequently trembling, the pegasus remained well in control of herself. The alicorn had much more difficulty controlling her body; she trapped the pegasus's head more than once with her tree buckers, gyrated her hips with sufficient speed to make the pegasus uncomfortable or draw away from her whiffermuzzle, and her flutter-flappers frequently stretched and contracted uncontrollably.
In total, this portion of sexual congress was by far the longest, but was not continuous; the pair moved around several times during this period, utilizing several different positions, though most were variations of the prone position, either lying on their sides, or with the pegasus on top of the alicorn. By the end, the alicorn had achieved climax several more times, while the pegasus only achieved climax once, having to sit up atop her partner's whiffermuzzle and aid herself in achieving it with the use of one of her clippity-cloppers.
The alicorn was unhappy with this, but the pegasus expressed the opinion that she had felt it was likely the alicorn would be unable to bring her to orgasm; according to the pegasus, her own first time had failed in either party achieving climax.
Attempted Fellatio of the magic zapper
The subjects, upon finishing their prior activities, turned around so that they were wub zone to wub zone and rested for thirty-eight minutes and seventeen seconds without further sexual activity.
Attempted erogenous activity began again when the pegasus got curious and wanted to know if magic zappers were truly an erogenous zone. The alicorn had heard such rumors as well and was willing to put them to the test.
Methodology according to best recollection was followed, with long, slow strokes of the tongue over the firm surface, followed by suckling on the tip, then bobbing of the whiffermuzzle over the length of the magic zapper; this proved somewhat uncomfortable for the pegasus, who had trouble with the tip striking her uvula. Eventually she resorted to licking at the base of the magic zapper.
With no response forthcoming, the alicorn attempted to test if channeling magic through the zapper would result in superior sexual performance. It did not, though both noted a slight tingling sensation.
The alicorn rated the experience well below true sex; while the experience was pleasurable, it was no more pleasurable than any other similar activity, and the alicorn preferred the mutualism of their previous activity. However, neither participant had any specific knowledge of this procedure, so it is possible that more experienced ponies may derive greater pleasure.
Sexual Preening
The alicorn asked the pegasus if the rumors about flutter-flappers weren't true as well. The pegasus stated that while flutter-flappers are highly sensitive, it is not an erogenous sensation; if it were, it would be highly difficult to fly. She noted, however, that in conjunction with other activities, manipulation of flutter-flappers was an enjoyable part of a larger sexual experience. The alicorn volunteered to engage the pegasus in said experience, but the pegasus demurred, stating she had more experience with flutter-flappers, having possessed them for far longer, and that she could demonstrate far more effectively than via command.
The pegasus laid the alicorn wub-zone down on the bed before crawling over her back. According to the pegasus, this was a delicate procedure, and she advised the alicorn to avoid moving excessively if she did not want to lose feathers. The pegasus manually spread the alicorn's flutter-flappers using her clippity-cloppers, then moved over her back to open her mouth and place it around the edge of the alicorn's flutter-flapper.
The alicorn reported that this was a strange but enjoyable sensation, and shivered when the pegasus began using her tongue on the surface of the flutter-flapper. She later described the experience as "better than flying," a sentiment which the pegasus felt was questionable. After several minutes of running her whiffermuzzle over the surface of the wing, the pegasus began to actively preen, putting feathers into place using her tongue and mouth while simultaneously moving her clippity-clopper underneath the alicorn's body towards her tushie. Despite being unable to see, the pegasus had no trouble in assisting the alicorn to orgasm with her clippity-clopper while simultaneously straightening her feathers from the earlier activities.
Data
The alicorn immediately reported that the experience had been wonderful for her physically, but she was upset that she had failed to bring nearly as much pleasure to her fellow subject as she had received. While physically she had most enjoyed her third orgasm, emotionally she felt that the best moment was when the pegasus had her sole climax.
The pegasus stated that while the alicorn had not been her best sexual experience, it had been her best sexual experience with a virgin, and she felt that the alicorn had more potential than her previous partners.
The pair then lost consciousness and slept for eight hours, spending the entire duration in close physical contact. Upon awakening, the pegasus expressed greater satisfaction with the previous evening than she had experienced with her previous partners, even though they had brought her to more orgasms. The alicorn expressed a desire to repeat the experiment on another occasion, possibly following a meal together in order to enhance the experience.
Conclusion
Additional study is necessary; however, it is obvious from the results of the experiment that alicorns do not have innate sexual prowess, and that even a mildly experienced pegasus was a far superior lover to a virgin alicorn.
While increased emotional satisfaction was reported from the pegasus over previous partners, it is difficult to attribute this to alicorn status; the alicorn used no magic which would result in such, and no other explanation was apparent. It may simply be a result of a different partner, and greater age and experience on the part of both the pegasus and her partner.
The attractiveness hypothesis is also thoroughly negated, at least in the immature alicorn specimen; while Princess Celestia is a noted paragon of beauty, the alicorn in the experiment suggested that the pegasus was more attractive than she herself was, a statement all involved with the experiment agreed with.
However, the alicorn was noted as starting at a level above the pegasus's previous lovers, which may indicate a greater maximum as well. The research subjects were amenable to the idea of gaining additional sexual experience and devising additional experiments in the future. Given the infancy of this field of research, there is much to be learned about the sexual abilities and proclivities of alicorns.
