Everything was moved out of the young pony's room, and he was ready to leave. His mother called for him as he measured his height. 2' 2". The filly smiled as he ran out of his old bedroom door. His mother, Snowy Shy, and his father, Volcanic Pyre, were waiting for him as the filly jumped out the door and shut the door behind him. Snowy Shy had a light-blue coat with a navy blue mane along with a white streak. Volcanic Pyre had a fiery red mane and a bright yellow coat. The two ponies gave Rigby a boost into the cart and then started to pull. After an hour nothing could be seen except the plains and Canterlot, the capital, above on the edge of the mountain. After another thirty minutes, a new town could be seen. " Dad? What's that place?" Rigby asked. " That's Ponyville, the place we are moving to." his father replied. The crimson filly jumped up and down excitedly and didn't stop until they entered the town. There were many different ponies, Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies. Rigby had started thinking about what fillies would be in his new class at school, and what they would be like. The pegasus didn't want to wait any longer, he wanted to start school in Ponyville now. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The morning sun awoke him as it rose. Rigby stretched and remembered what today was. Monday. That meant that today he got to start his first day at school in Ponyville. It was already March, so there were only a few more months left in the school year. The filly jumped out of bed and put on his black jacket and zipped it up. He could hear his mother calling for him from the kitchen to come eat breakfast. Downstairs he could smell waffles, which were his favorite. She put down a warm plate of waffles on the table and put one on his plate. Rigby poured syrup all over the waffle along with whip-cream. The filly licked his lips as he started eating. " So dad," he said after swallowing his first bite. " What job did you get down here?" " Yesterday after we finished unpacking, I got a job at Sweet Apple Acres harvesting the apples." " Cool." Rigby said as he stuffed another piece in his mouth. " Are you excited about your first day at school?" his mother asked. " Yeah." " That's good." she finished and smiled. Rigby finished his breakfast and put on his backpack. His mother told him where to go for school and sent the filly off. " I can't wait to get there and make new friends!" he said to himself. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* BRRING! BRRING! The school bell rang as Cheerilee, the teacher, walked in. " Good morning class." she said. " Today, we have a new student with us!" Fillies all over the room started whispering. " New student?" one said. " Cool!" another said. Cheerilee brought her hoof up to quiet down the class. Rigby walked in the door with her grinning. " This is Rigby, your new classmate. And you can sit right over there by Scootaloo." The mare finished and pointed to an empty desk. The crimson filly clopped over to his new seat and sat down. Cheerilee started her class with teaching about weather and where it was made. She talked about rainbows and clouds. Snowflakes and wind, and talked about Cloudsdale, the place where all the weather was made. The ringing bell signaled that it was time for recess. All the ponies except Rigby and three others ran out right away. The three fillies gathered around Rigby once they got outside. " So your name's Rigby?" the orange one said. " Yeah." Rigby replied. " My name is Scootaloo, and this is Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle." " Nice to meet you." Sweetie Belle looked down at his flank, then grinned at what she saw. " Hey girls look! He doesn't have a cutie mark either!" The yellow one gasped. " I have a great idea! Wanna join the Cutie Mark Crusaders?" she said. Rigby looked confused, and the three explained what it was. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are a club dedicated to help ponies get their cutie mark, and any filly with out a mark on their flank could join. " That sounds fun! I'll join!" Rigby said with a grin on his face. " Awesome!" Scootaloo exclaimed. " But we can't do the amends here, but when school ends meet at this spot." Sweetie Belle said. Rigby nods and the four fillies give a hoof bump. " Hahaha! Another blank flank?" a voice came from behind. " How lame can you ponies get?" another filly said. " Uh-oh." Scootaloo whispered. " Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are bad news." The two mares advanced on the four fillies. Diamond Tiara looked up and down, examining Rigby. Then she laughed. " You ponies are so pathetic, I can't believe you rounded up another blank flank." Silver Spoon added. " Hey! You can't treat my friends that way!" Rigby countered. " Oh? And why not?" " Because no pony has the right to insult another pony just because they don't have any cutie mark! Now if you don't cut it out, we're gonna tell your mothers about your bad attitudes, and I don't think you want that, now do you?" Rigby finished off. The two fillies shook their heads, and Rigby glared at them and they ran off. Afterwards Scootaloo, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle all had their mouths wide open. Scooltaloo pushed her's closed with her hoof. " Wow. That was amazing, no one has ever stood up in front of those two like that." she pointed out, and started to blush slightly. The other Cutie Mark Crusaders agreed and smiled as the bell rang.
