"C'mon, MOVE IT!" Gaspard screamed into the slaves ears. He smacked each one that passed by with his wing, and the slightest noise any of the ponies would've made, they would have been tortured. No pony had the right to speak.

The shackled legs of each pony made the morning loud and wake. They walked into a large ship, and then into the bottom of the ship to help row it. Each of them had bowls of gruel thrown at them. They devoured every single bit, no matter how bad it tasted, no matter how bad it smelled, no matter how bad it looked. They would kill to eat anything.

A young foal looked at her dad, with a terrified look.

"Daddy...why do we have to do this??" she whimpered. She leaned onto her father's shoulder.

He smiled and stroked her mane. "It'll be fine, Thunder. Don't worry."

"Where's mom?"

He gazed at her with a heartbroken expression. "Mommy's not here." He nudged his daughter to the side and sighed. "She won't be either.."

A large Griffon stomped into the small, stuffy room.

"Slaves, get ready. The captain expects this to go fast, so don't waste time lickin the walls. You bums." He slammed the door behind him and walked away.

Thunder looked out a small hole.

"Daddy!" she shook his arm. "I'm scared. I want to go home!" she cried.

"Ssshhhh..." He glanced at the door. "We'll get in trouble.."

The Griffon stumbled in again.

"WHO'S TALKIN?!" he screamed. Thunder curled into a fetal position and whimpered.

The Griffon walked towards her.

"So it what you, huh. C'mon lets send you somewhere else." he dragged her by her mane.

"Sir.. you're hurting me." she sniffed.

"Oh, really? Well stop complaining!" he then took her by the tail and dragged her out the door.

Her dad panicked. "Wait! Take me! She has so much in life to live for. Please take me instead."

He looked in confusion. "Ok. Why not." he shrugged. "You'll make more of a meal anyways."

Thunder was tossed back to her seat.

"Daddy no!" She bawled. She tried running back to him, but a young mare held her back.

"It's ok Thunder. I'll be back."

"Pinky promise?" she wiped her tears.

He gave a weak smile. "Pinky promise."
