The White Pony

Inspired by the famous horror game trilogy "Dead Space" and by the Sci-Fi horror movie "Pandorum".

Chapter 1: The Rescue Team

By the year 2015; The princesses created the Equestrian Space Command (ESC) and started building its very first space cruiser.

By the year 2019; The ESC launched its very first space cruiser for a four year travel through space. The name of the ship was "The Black Knight" with a crew of one-hundred seventy ponies of all races and all genders. This was the greatest accomplishment the ESC has ever had.

By the year 2023; The Black Knight returned with all crew members on board. All of Equestria celebrated for a whole week of non-stop partying.

By the year 2025; The ESC started building another space cruiser.

By the year 2029; The ESC launched the second cruiser called "Mother Nature". With a crew that held up to two-hundred sixty ponies. Their destination was to travel to mars and set up a colony.

By the year 2032; Mother Nature had created the very first colony on Mars.

By the year 2033; The Black Knight was sent to Mars. Its crew was mainly families and civilians. They settled on the planet and for the first time in history. They created the very first city off planet Earth. Three weeks later; The colony had a malfunctioning reactor that supplied oxygen. Only twenty-two ponies survived. The ESC immediately pulled back both space cruisers.

By the year 2037; The ESC built the biggest space cruiser by far. The name of the cruiser was "The White Pony" and it had the ability to carry five-hundred crew members in total. They launched The White Pony to salvage whatever was left of the colony. One week later; ESC lost communications with The White Pony. And it completely disappeared off satellite range.

By the year 2040; One of the ESC officers claimed to have heard a communications interception from The White Pony. Three weeks later; The ESC formed a small rescue team assigned with an engineer crew as well. Their mission is to: bring home the crew safely, repair communications, find the Captain's audio log, and traveling records. They are getting prepped and detailed now.

The ESC private barracks. A room that was mainly made out of medal and it had one source of light. The source of light was in the center of the room. It had a door that would open by the push of a button. From both inside and outside. The door had a dark green bar above the entrance way and it would turn from dark green to bright green if somepony was to come in the room. In the middle of the room was Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash and Applejack were both wearing service uniforms that were bright white with blue lines that made a stripe on the outside of each legging. It had a blue line at the collar of the neck. Both mares had blue ties around the collar and had their manes in buns. Rarity did a damn good job on the uniforms. She makes all the uniforms for everypony in the ESC. In fact, the ESC went straight to her when the Princesses denied to make the uniforms for the ESC. Because of her success with the uniforms, she is now fortune off of both her boutique and the ESC.

Rainbow Dash had two insignias that had the symbol of a silver lightning bolt with three Vs facing downwards and the lightning bolt made it look like it was coming right out of the Vs. Applejack just had one V instead of three. The mares stood from across each other.

"Hey Dash do ya' know who we're dragging along with us?" Applejack asked.

"Its Captain Dash. Remember about my promotion?" Dash retorted.

"Ah'm sorry. Do you know who we're bringin' along, Captain Dash?"

"No I don't. I do know that whoever is in charge of the engineer crew is a real fucking egghead." Dash was holding a clipboard and it had tons of paper stacked on top of it. "Can't believe they're making us bring three eggheads with us." Dash looked up from her files and into Applejack's eyes.

"Orders are orders, ma'am."

Dash raised an eyebrow at Applejack. "Who the fuck are you calling ma'am? We're not around an officer. In fact, we're all by ourselves." Rainbow lowered her brow. "You don't have to call me ma'am. Just only when we're around the new recruits."

"Recruits?" Applejack's turn to raise her eyebrow.

"I haven't told you yet? Huh, I thought I would have done it already. Well its simple. We have two new recruits being assigned to our unit. They've already been trained so we don't have to worry about training them ourselves." Dash looked down at the clipboard in her hoof and started flipping through papers. "Their files are in here som- aha." Dash pointed at the papers with her free hoof. "right here."

Applejack trotted over towards Dash and placed herself on Dash's left side. "Do we have their names?" Applejack asked.

"Surprise, surprise, we got Scootaloo and Apple Bloom. They actually made it to our position." Dash's facial expression was showing signs of being 'impressed'.

"Ah'm so proud of Apple Bloom right now that ah'll kiss her as soon as ah see her." Applejack smiled but then is slowly started to disappear. "Wait ah minute. Don't the ESC have a rule that siblings can't be in the same unit?" Applejack faced Rainbow Dash but Dash didn't face her.

"They got rid of that rule right after The White Pony disappeared." Dash turned her head to face Applejack. "Apple Bloom signed up a year after its disappearance so that means she can be under Granny Smith's command." Dash looked back at the papers.

"But Granny doesn't work in the ESC." Applejack raised an eyebrow. "She's still at the farm with Big MacIntosh."

Dash rolled her eyes. "It was sarcasm smarts." Dash retorted.

"Oh...Ah knew that!" Applejack frowned at Dash.

"uh-huh sure you did." Dash chuckled.

"If you weren't mah Captain. I would ha-" Applejack was interrupted by the sound of a *beep*.

Both mares paid their attention towards the door. The bar was bright green instead of its dark green. The door split in half: revealing two ponies also in service uniforms but their insignias only had a lightning bolt and the color of the lightning bolt was bronze. Their manes was also in a bun just like Applejack and Rainbow Dash's manes were. Both ponies walked in the room and saluted to their officers. Applejack and Rainbow Dash saluted to the new recruits and they quickly dropped their salute. Both recruits were standing at an attention. Eyes and head forward. Applejack walked up to the recruit on her left and smiled.

"Hi Apple Bloom." Applejack started to hug her little sister and kissed her on the cheek.

Apple Bloom couldn't help but blush and her eyes widened. "Applejack ah'm at an attention. Please, get off me." refusing to face her older sister.

Applejack stopped hugging her sister and faced Rainbow Dash. "Ah'm sorry. Go ahead, ma'am." Applejack looked back at the recruits.

The room was silent for a few moments. Rainbow Dash was testing the recruits to see how long it'll take for them to just drop out of their positions and start looking around the room. "At ease." Dash finally said.

Both recruits spread their legs out away from each other just a little bit. They both locked their gaze into Rainbow Dash.

"All right. I will start small. You give me your names, ranks, commanding officers name, and squad's name. I won't you both to say your commanding officer and squad's name in unison, got it?" Dash commanded.

"Yes ma'am." Both recruits replied in perfect unison.

"Good. You on the left; you go first." Dash pointed her hoof at the recruit on the left and stomped her hoof on the ground.

The recruit raised her chin up an inch. "Recruit Apple Bloom. Rank: Private first class." Apple Bloom kept her head in the position she put it in. She also kept her eyes and head forward.

Dash turned her head to face the recruit on the right. The recruit did the same as Apple Bloom. "Recruit Scootaloo. Rank: private first class."

Dash switched from looking at Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. She repeated the action three times and finally spoke. "Who is your commanding officer and what is your squad's name?"

"Assigned under the command of Captain Rainbow Dash and assigned to the squad 'Lightning Bolt'." Both recruits said in unison.

"Good. Now I have some rules that not everypony agrees with. But if you are to stay under my command. You must follow my commands." Dash started to pace around both recruits. "Rule 1: We get every job done. Rule 2: Obey every order that I give to you. Rule 3: Do not hesitate in combat. And last but this is the most important one that overrules every rule I've given you. Rule 3: Never and I mean never every leave a pony behind. If it takes you crawling through hot burning coal than so be it. I've never left anypony behind and I never will." Dash stopped in front of both recruits. "Understand?" Dash commanded.

"Yes ma'am." They both said in unison.

"Now we will wait until the engineer team comes in with the superior officer in charge of this mission. Until then, lets catch up on old times." Dash smiled. "Squirt. I haven't seen you in years."

Scootaloo smiled. "Oh Rainbow Dash. We've had so much experience. I can't wait to tell you all about it."

"Well, you might as well start right now, I think we have a long time until we actually get to see the engineer team."

Scootaloo put a hoof up to her chin. "Where to begin. Oh I know. The recruiting lines."

"Something must have really happened for you to tell me about signing up."

"Oh you have no idea."
